This restaurant has a decent-sized private parking lot. We came here to celebrate Mother's Day and were seated right away. The staff there was very friendly, and my server was attentive. They have a very large indoor dining area. There is also an outdoor patio out front for dining as well. I ordered the steak chimichanga, which came with beans and rice. I also got a frozen mango margarita to wash my food down. It took a noticeably long time to get our food. We did, however, have complimentary chips and salsa to keep us occupied. We waited about 20 minutes to get our food. It was ok. I would call it average. I have had much better and I have had much worse. The margarita, which I got with sugar around the rim, was really good. It was huge and hit the spot. 3.5 stars would be more appropriate, but that is not an option, so, in my opinion, it is closer to a 3 than a 4. I would still give this place another try; it would probably not be my first choice, though. read more

This is the third time I've went to this restaurant. The first two I wasn't that impressed with the food or the service, but we decided to give it another try. Let's just say three strikes you're out! After they finally sat us we waited for 10 - 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us, even though the waitress kept walking by multiple times and looking at us. Then another table was sat next to us and told their server would be with them a minute, within the next 30 seconds they were brought chips, salsa, and asked for drink order. We got up and left. I honestly don't understand how this place has 4 stars on Google and Yelp. I've been to plenty of Mexican restaurants, and this was one of the worst experiences I've had. A couple weeks ago, I tried to place a to-go order, but the hours listed online didn't match the door. I stood there for about 10 minutes while multiple employees walked past me, only for them to finally say it was too late to order. This weekend, my family gave it another try, and it was no better. Service was painfully slow--drinks took forever, and they didn't return for food orders until about 15 minutes later (and it wasn't even busy). Refills were rare, but the second we finished eating, they rushed to clear our table. As for the food? Bland. The red salsa wasn't great, the carne asada was thick and chewy, and despite asking for extra rice (no beans), I barely got any. The only positive was the salsa verde, which was actually good. The food was actually quite amazing, the flavors were extremely good (I got Fajitas, partner got arroz con pollo). However, The reason the review is so low, is because our WAITER. She was a middle-aged white woman with glasses. She was kinda acting as if she were on something, super fidgety and always doing something and nothing at the same time. Barely checked on us, more interested in talking to people she knew than serving us. A whole other worker had to bring us the basic chips/salsa. She literally forgot. She was also awkard in conversation the few times she did talk to us. However, sh!t happens. Maybe she's new. idk. Shout out the older hispanic server tho,, she handled business! Some of my church friends suggested lunch here and El Beso did not disappoint! They hosted our party of 22 and were super friendly. I love the decor and the seat colors popped along with the tables. My husband suggested we try a new place to eat. He isn't fond of most Mexican restauaunts but someone he works with recommended this restaurant. The environment was nice. It was a quiet Saturday. We were greeted and seated right away. We got chips and salsa. Drinks were brought and we ordered food quickly. The Dos Equis amber paired well with the salsa and the salsa was not a chunky type. We ordered kids arroz con pollo, adult arroz con pollo with shrimp, 2 enchiladas with rice and beans and a kids chicken nuggets and fries. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. My husband said the chicken and shrimp were seasoned very well. The enchilladas were delicious. The chicken tenders were just Dino chicken nuggets. I love that this restaurant does Dine to Donate programs with local schools, which is why our family stopped in one evening on a school night. The food was solid... the kids enjoyed their taquitos, my fajitas were hot and well seasoned, and my husband enjoyed his carnitas. I noticed signage for very reasonably priced catering.. I'm definitely filing that away for future consideration. Service was slow, but they were absolutely slammed with families from a designated school. We ordered the four ground beef burrito combo meal. The burritos while not huge were sufficient for the two of us to each two and be satisfied. My only complaint is that the beef had little to no spices. We used their salsa, on the burritos but even that was mild. I suppose some with kids may like mild. My family and I are new to the Bargersville area. We drove by this place a handful of times without stopping in. Tonight, we decided to take the leap and see what they had to offer. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. There is good lighting and plenty of space. I can tell it's the hotspot around town, so that was encouraging. Like most Mexican restaurants, music can be heard. I thought it was a touch too loud, but we were able to converse without shouting, so that's a plus. As for the service: Our server seemed exhausted. She was pleasant but not what I'd call friendly. I'll chalk it up to her having a long day, which I can appreciate. It's not something that will stop me from returning. I mentioned it was mine and my mom's first time dining and she perked up a bit. (I hope she was able to get some rest eventually!) The food itself is standard fare. The grilled chicken lacked flavor and our quesadillas took about 20 minutes to come out from the kitchen. That seemed excessive to me, but I'm not a cook so maybe that's normal? Service was a tiny bit on the slow side, but we had nothing else to do and that was fine for both of us. The cheese dip, again, isn't too different from what you'd find elsewhere -- which is great in this case because it's all delicious. The chips were hot (warm). That might seem like a minute detail, but it's one that's important to me, so I'm calling it a win. The price was reasonable. We spent $20 for both of us and it was well worth it. We were excited when we walked in and it said today's special was tacos. That's what we were going to get. However they said the specials are for lunch only. My husband got two burritos one steak and one chicken. His was delicious!! I had the enchiladas (1 of each, cheese, bean, pork?, ground hamburger and chicken. I liked the bean and cheese the best. The hamburger had no seasoning to it and was dry. Chicken was ok... I didn't realize it had onions. I personally disnt care for the others. The enchilada green sauce was really runny and a weird color, and the dinner needed the lettuce/tomato or beans or something added. Friend got a Taco salad, and the ground beef had an off color (green). Three ways we rate a Mexican restaurant: 1.) Salsa, queso, guac, and chips- all excellent. The salsa has a nice kick to it and a decent amount of cilantro. They also have little bowls to spread out amongst the table which is handy. Chips are nice and thin. 2. The arroz con pollo- here it is pretty standard with a good amount of cheese sauce and we get warm tortillas to wrap it up in. **Bonus: get the El Beso burrito because it is gigantic and has a nice green sauce covering it. Good texture to it as you can taste the individual layers. 3. Is it clean? Yes, the restaurant is clean and wait staff is very friendly. It feels like you are part of the family there. read more

I was once again holding onto hope that I had found something outstanding regarding *authentic* ( !) Mexican type food. This is mostly always due to the remarks and reviews I have found here on Yelp. Ay caramba,...that's definitely a big fat no. I am struggling to even give them 2 stars. This place is nothing special as far as the decor goes. It's just a fairly large open room, with a number of cheap tables and uncomfortable chairs along with a few booths here and there. I was really hoping there was a slim chance that the food would rock and surpass my first impression. The service was bare bones, but bearable and personable enough. The complimentary salsa was a bit watery and puréed/thin, but passable in flavor for the most part. We ordered our usual appetizers of the guacamole and the white queso dip. They were average in taste, but like I have noticed in many other Mexican restaurants, the guacamole was thinned down or stretched with some other ingredient. It had a washed out color, and I am very sure it was not made with 100% avocado. We ordered the chicken quesadilla plate and a combo build your own plate of a chicken taco and a chile relleno. The chicken taco literally only had two small pieces of chicken in it. The rest of it comprised of onion green peppers, lettuce and cheese. It was haphazardly thrown on a plate. I included a pic of that meal to show its poor presentation. My guest seemed to like their chicken quesadilla meal, but mine was nothing spectacular. The rice was flavorless, and the beans tasted somewhat authentic, but they also tasted like they were an older batch. This place seems to be a clone of every other low quality, pre made, processed and quickly shlepped together reheated food. It is sadly and pathetically like all of the other unimpressive Mexican restaurants I have been to before. Very frustrating! We made reservations for 17 people yesterday to be today for my nephews birthday at 7pm tonight. Well we got there and it was jammed packed and the waiters were incredibly rude to us and all they said was lobby was getting packed and we needed to seat these people. We had a reservation. Which means we should have a table already for us but we didn't! We won't be back and we will make sure we tell other people our experience. They should honor the people who called and made reservations first and tell the people in the lobby they couldn't seat them with a reservation coming in. read more

Called in to order even though the restaurant was open for dining in. Ten minute later, the food was ready. All workers had masks on, and there's a table right at the entrance for pickup. One worker was designated to get you your food, as to not interact with customers that are not dining in. Seems like a super safe operation and the restaurant seemed to care about the safety of their employees and customers. read more
