    Taco Tijuana

Saw this place had a Taco Tuesday and decided to try it. For the special, it's $2 per taco for selected meats (pollo, al pastor, barbacoa, and carnitas). The best ones there were pollo and carnitas. The al pastor had a heavy smoke taste and was a bit dry. It did come with some pineapple on the taco. I also tried the chicharron, lengua, and tripas which were normal price. The lengua was tender but could have been more flavorful, the tripas could have been crispier, but the chicharonne was very good. It was a little crispy, a little chewy, good texture with that meat. For agua fresca, there is a rotating 4 flavors. They had pineapple when I went and it was sweet with some fibrous bits of the pineapple. It's located in a parking lot and there are lots of parking spaces. There are a couple tables and a self serve sauce bar. Service is friendly. Overall, they have a wide arrange of meats and a Taco Tuesday special. If I come back, I would maybe try the mulita.

Late night cravings. And this place was okay. It's quite dark in the area so it maybe hard to locate. We got the super burrito carne asada and it was okay. Just wished that it was created more evenly. Didn't get the guacamole and sour cream until I got to the other end of the burrito. A combo of all three sauces was perfect for the spice level that I enjoy. Service is quick for a food truck. They do have couple tables to use. We ended up just eating in our car cause it was too cold to be outside.

Easy review: traveled over an hour to eat here and it was so worth it! You, literally, cannot go wrong w any taco (that's what I always get), and the chicharron.

Many Bones in super burrito. Not thick overcooked pork skin(chicharron) BONE

Unethical, HORRIBLE, UNSAFE food (BONES in burrito) and bad service. I'm a local and was hoping to love this place. I ordered a chicharrón super burrito listed at $16, but was charged $16.64. Not the biggest deal. However, when I handed the cashier a $20 bill, she initially shortchanged me. After I pointed it out, she gave me the remaining change. When my burrito came out, I found MANY pieces of CUT BONES throughout it. I'm aware that certain types of chicharrón have LARGE, THICK pieces of pork skin that can become tough and may resemble bones. This was NOT the case. Every single piece of pork skin and meat was genuinely so HARD and OVERCOOKED that I could not bite through it. I ended up eating the entire burrito without eating any of the meat at all. I've cooked and eaten my fair share of chicharrón and Mexican food; this is the WORST I have ever had. The individuals working up front don't speak English and simply said "crispy" when I showed them the bone fragments. I'm somewhat convinced this was done out of spite since I called them out on shortchanging me. Either that or their cooking is just extremely subpar. Would avoid.

I found this El Bombero 408 and it's amazing. I got tacos de Chicharrón and some Consomé. For sure I will try this again. I taste the quesadilla too and is giant and delicious. I end up coming back for 2 burritos to go. Service is kind and I like that.

My friend and I found them on Tiktok promoting their $2 Taco Tuesdays and we had to try them out. They're located in a pretty large plaza with lots of parking. We arrived around 6:30pm and there was quite a lot of people waiting already. After 30 minutes of waiting for our food the line got super long, so definitely come a bit earlier than dinner time. There are a few tables set up and the sauces/toppings are self serve. Food: * Asada: Crunchy and moist. They used real asada and not ground beef like some other places. Smokey and can taste the flavorful marinade. * Buche: Very tender and fatty. This was my first time having buche and I was pleasantly impressed. * Lengua: Definitely our favorite! The pieces were super tender and moist. There were crunchy smokey bits as well. Unfortunately, lengua isn't part of the $2 taco Tuesday promo so we paid full price, but it was worth it. * Chicharron: Most of the pieces had gotten pretty hard and some of the skin were chewy and no longer crunchy. The flavor wasn't anything special as well. Their watermelon and mango Agua Fresca were delicious. Not too watery or sugary for our taste. We will definitely be coming back!

Grabbed dinner from this food truck at Lightscape in SF this past Sunday. The short line moved quickly and service was standard. I ordered a super quesadilla with steak. Requested no guacamole, but they still included this on the plate. It was served hot, the grilled tortilla stuffed with plenty of meat, though not as much cheese. The taste didn't stand out, but it was filling. My bf got the combo quesabirria, which was okay, but obviously not as good as homemade. The consomé was pretty tasty, great for dipping both of our dishes for added flavor. All in all, we had a positive experience.

Yum Yum Yum Carne Asada, Quesadillas, CHICHARON I'm going to assume anything you get from this place is worth it, the aqua frescas are also a must to get. Friendly service, to me is was fast for being a Fresh Made As You Order typea establishment, but of course waiting is the "hard" part & anticipating on eating this yummy food. If you happen to be in the area or at least debating on trying this spot, Why Not ‍your already in the area, you will not be disappointed if your craving some good authentic Mexican Food.

This is for the Parkmoor location. If you guys don't want to honor your half off taco Tuesdays then please remove it from your social media. We went there and they tried to charge us full price. When we asked if taco Tuesdays were still happening they said the price was due to tax. Come on don't lie to us or tell us that. This is the second time my ordering experience was bad. The last time I got charged for 5 tacos when I only ordered 4 and received 4. Don't recommend. Go elsewhere.

1.50$ taco tuesday and fresh tortillas and salsa bar/fresh radish and pickled veggies, i would say that's a deal for the price and for what it is it's pretty solid would 100% go back again the asada was my favourite here and the al pastor was a hit as well!

This has to be the nicest food truck I have ever seen. My husband and drove by me had to make a u turn and try this place. First impression was a huge wow for us The menu is a nice size, with so many options I ordered the quesabirrias. The tortillas are freshly made, I asked for mine to be extra crispy. The amount of meat they used was so generous, the flavor was authentic. The consomé was o tasty and not greasy at all. These have to be my favorite quesabirrias. My husband had the al pastor tacos, the meat was so tender and delicious. Full of flavor, the guacamole was perfect. The complementary cucumber, radishes, and salsas is a plus. The place is kept clean, it was not too busy when we were there but a lady was cleaning as people were leaving. The only ready I didn't give them five stars is because they don't take phone orders, I understand they get really busy. I live in San Mateo and it would be nice to call in my order, instead of making the long drive and waiting to get my food. I will be back to try something else on the menu

Checked out this truck bordering a parking lot because the food smelled amazing! This is more of a grab and go situation since no seating is available. I appreciate the veg and sauce station they have for customers. My favorite was the spicy avocado option! Multiple copies of the menu are posted on the truck so customers don't need to crowd around one area. I'll visit again if I'm in the area. SERVICE: My burrito was made pretty quickly and the cashier was very friendly! He asked if I wanted all the components of my burrito inside in case substitutes were needed. Once your order is finished, another staff member will call your order out from the backside of the truck haha. FOOD: *Regular burrito -- I went with carne asada and it was so delicious! They provide a lot of components for a regular burrito which I enjoyed. Most places in the Bay Area only do rice, beans, meat, onion and cilantro now. El Bombero went the extra mile by including a lot of pico de gallo and self-serve sauces + freshly sliced radish! The meat was very flavorful and tender. Tortilla was so good, not dry at all. This is one of the few places where I didn't have to deal with oil dripping from the bottom, yay! Not the best picture included on this review heh, but for reference this burrito was 10in long and 3.5in "wide." Small portion of chips included! :) PARKING: Visited on a Friday around noon and there was lots of parking available.

There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. Parking is limited but there are always cars coming and going so if you can wait a little, a spot will open up.

As someone who absolutely loves tacos and is always on the hunt for great local taco spots, I was excited to see how this place compared to some of my favorites. I ordered four different tacos, and overall, they were pretty good. They weren't bad by any means, but they also didn't quite blow me away. The meat was cooked well, the tortillas were fresh, and the tacos had good flavor. The salsa was decent too, although I personally prefer something with a little more kick. Everyone has different tastes, so this is just my opinion. One thing I really appreciated was how clean and organized the restaurant was. You can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and my food came out quickly. It's always a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to both cleanliness and customer service. I've eaten at a lot of taco places throughout the Bay Area, so I naturally compare every new place to some of my favorites. While El Halal Mexican Restaurant didn't make the top of my list, I still had a good experience and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot. Not every restaurant has to be your favorite to be worth visiting. I also like supporting family-owned businesses because I know how much hard work goes into running a local restaurant. They deserve credit for creating a clean, welcoming place and serving quality food. Will I come back? Maybe. If I do, I'd probably try something different on the menu instead of the tacos. Sometimes a restaurant's best dish isn't the first thing you order, and I'd be interested in seeing what else they have to offer. Overall, I'd give El Halal Mexican Restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was a good experience, I'm happy I finally got to try it, and if you're in the Willow Glen area, it's worth stopping by and deciding for yourself.
