    Asada tacos

When you're looking for a late night tacos, Tacos Panchito is the place because it's open until three in the morning. Pull up find a parking spot walk over to the truck and order your tacos. They have tacos, tortillas, burritos, platters of food and everything else in between. They have a salsa bar with a variety of chilies and salsa to top off your entrées. Service is fast and efficient. Ambience is always laid-back and relax.

Service - 5 stars, the staff are very friendly and quick when preparing your food. Parking - 2 stars. The area where the taco truck is located isn't the greatest and street parking is pretty limited. There is a shopping plaza within walking distance that you can park there if you plan on being quick. Food - 5 stars. I tried the carne asada & Al Pastor tacos, carne asada burrito & the Torta Milanesa and all of them were fire . The meat has that nice charred/smoky flavor and the tortillas for the burritos are soft , but they grill it so it holds up since these burritos are packed! Sauces - 3 stars. You can tell all of their sauces are made fresh and have 4 different salsas to choose from. I always try to get any orange or guacamole salsa if they have it so I can compare it to other places. I think the sauces are pretty decent, but aren't as spicy to my liking (just my preference). They do have a whole section of toppings you can grab to add to your food.

Always drive by on Monterey. Parking lot is tiny. You can also DoorDash tacos from this truck! They come with all the good stuff (grilled onions and peppers). When we ordered like 30 tacos another time, they separated all the toppings which helped preserve it for everyone. I will say they're kind of stingy on the sauces because my family loves saucing it up. If I go pick up I have to really ask for more hehe. Overall love it. Service - 3 / Food - 5 / Price - 3.5

I go here w my bf at least once a week. Nice staff, friendly service! The asada is grilled and it's so freaking good. The pastor is my guilty pleasure so I usually order three asada tacos & one pastor taco. The pastor comes with pineapples. The salsa bar is excellent. I LOVE their orange sauce. The plate of tacos comes with grilled onions and one serrano pepper. I like panchito more than tres Reyes bc it's much MUCH less oily. Both are good though & they both carry orange sauce :)

The Torta Cubano was filling and delicious. Gavin and I ordered the same thing though he chose not to enjoy the complimentary salsa that came with it but I appreciate that this place gave us one of each. Pretty hefty price at $18.50 each but convenience and good food comes at a cost. Thank you for saving us that evening.

Terrible experience. I ordered the most simple thing imaginable - a plain CHEESE QUESADILLA. No meat, no nothing. What I was served instead was a tortilla with like 5 shreds of cheese and a half a head of iceberg lettuce inside. And, to add insult to injury, they charged $15 for that. Completely ripping people off here. Threw it directly into the trash and had to find something else to eat. Don't waste your time or money here.

Burrito. This thing is really big!

Went back to make sure my first experience wasn't an oddly good day. My second time here was even better than the first time. I got the pastor burrito this time and did not regret it at all. Made sure to get pictures as well this time. Huge portions and workers there are super nice. Feel like I found a true gem in San Jose.

Stopped at this food truck with good high energy music blasting. Looking through the window of the food truck and seeing the Al Pastor spinning on the spit, I knew I was going to like it. I ordered a couple tortas, some tacos and a horchata. The tortas were monsters. I had half of mine for dinner and had the rest for dinner the next night. The flavor was excellent and I will definitely be back. If you get tacos to go, be sure to grab your onions, cilantro, etc from the table before you leave. The salsa was vey good, particularly the green and the smoked chile salsas.

STARS: 4.5 MENU AND FOOD: Tacos Panchito offers a variety of Mexican favorites with a rather wide selection of meats. They also have agua frescas, which are not always on display or on their menu. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service is quick and efficient. They have a few tables set up in front of their truck. PARKING: They have a few a parking spots onsite. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We always come for their tacos, which are served with hand made tortillas! My favorite part was their self service salsa bar, which came with onions, cilantro, cucumbers, radishes, salsas, lime, pickled vegetables and jalepenos, and even beans! However, after witnessing customers abusing this feature, they have since taken it away. Their meats are well made and pair well with their red/green salsas.

(5 out of 5) This place is fire, best tacos I've had so far in SJ... as of 1/9/2025. Super super good, onions on the side also super good, not just grilled you can tell it was cooked with the meat juices lol! Quesadilla needed more meat in it, but I could've asked for extra. Horchata was really good as well, one of the beats I've had. Open super late (1am) even on a Wednesday!! Music was good, dope energy When you come tell them Rothyy sent you!

Just stumbled upon the best late night fast Mexican food! This taco spot is right on Monterey Rd. and stays open until 1AM. We decided to try both the tacos and burrito with lengua and carne asada meat. The lengua was so juicy and tender and it was overall one of the best I've had. The carne asada was a little more dry but still enjoyable. Also, the tacos do come with cucumbers and radishes which are always a bonus for me! The burrito was filled with beans, meat, cheese, avocado, and rice and was very delicious. I also really recommend the pina agua fresca. I love how there is no pulp and just the right amount of sweetness. My favorite part about this place is that when you dine outside in their seating area, they give you bottles of sauce to you with it. The habenero sauce is good but the avocado sauce is perfect! Just the right amount of heat and flavor. We've been here twice and both times the service was great and very fast. I love how they have a couple tables with lights outside to enjoy your meal comfortably. This place is great for a quick and delicious meal. This will definitely be my new go to late night Mexican spot!

Lots of take out orders and dine in orders. I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

We ordered 2x Carne Asada Taco 7/10 2x Al Pastor 7/10 Asada Burrito Bowl 7/10 Enchiladas with Rojo Sauce 7/10 The burrito bowl was good, but for the price point you may be better off going to Chipotle, I felt that the burrito bowl was a bit soggy. The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

Most of the food is prepared in a food truck where you line up and order. Seating is next to the sauce bar and they have first come first serve seating. Typical culture is to put the sauce directly on the tacos when you receive them. They give sauce cups if you order to go otherwise they are reluctant to give them out. Currently they are constructing a building around their seating area which is new. This implies that they are generating enough cash to turn their food truck and seating area into an actual establishment. Onto the food review! Carne Asada 7/10 Lengua 7.5/10 Carnitas 8/10 Cabeza 8.3 /10 Suadero 8.5/10 Al Pastor 8.5/10 Suadero and Pastor were top contenders with the most flavor depth. Personally I liked the cabeza as it was very soft, but the flavor can't compare to the suadero. The carne asada lacked flavor in my opinion and was the least tasty out of the meats we tried. Carnitas had that great crunch you're looking for in a taco as it is seared excellently. Lengua was flavorful and super soft just like the cabeza which indicates that they were both braised to perfection. All choices are very solid albeit be prepared for a very greasy meal. The star of the show is their avocado salsa! They offered 6 other sauces in their sauce bar but the avocado salsa was superb compared to the others. This was the only option that had me coming back to sauce bar throughout my meal. They also offered pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions at their sauce bar to help balance the flavors. Finally the best JD big back tip is to get the large strawberry horchata! It was so good we finished ours before even taking a picture of it! The flavor profile on that beverage is superb, imagine a creamy strawberry yakult that is the perfect option to balance greasy tacos. This is a hidden gem item as their strawberry horchata is significantly better than other restaurants version of it. They also offer other flavored horchata but the strawberry remains top tier.

Yay for mom and pop eats :) Well, I was introduced to this place by my best friend, but I never carried cash to go, so I never tried it until another friend of mine mentioned the Blossom Hill location and them accepting credit card payment! (Yay, but let's not get carried away). I came on a Tuesday evening with friends and saw the place packed! Thats always a good sign~ We each ordered an individual dish to eat and chat. I was intrigued by the burrito bowl and worried it may be small. Jokes on me, it was way more than enough! Don't let the size of the bowl trick you into thinking it's not enough. The avocado was nice and perfectly ripe, the crema sauce drizzle was not overwhelmingly added onto the ball, and the salsa had a nice acid and tomatoey compliment to the beans, meat, shredded lettuce, rice, and cheese! I think this place is pretty solid for the price point and quality. They also have a free for all sauce bar too which is nice! Everything is so spicy, except for the green salsa lol. Servers seemed okay. They didn't really check on us, but it feels like a service yourself kind of place. You grab your own waters, condiments, and sauce here. If you want their chunky mango salsa, you have to flag a server down! However, 1 star is knocked off for the credit card charge, which I'm not even sure what the percentage is. I didn't see a sign at the register or perhaps I didn't look hard enough. I think this should be mentioned on the door and possibly their menu (if it isn't already). Can someone confirm if the credit card charge is 3%? Even my receipt wasn't clearly mentioning the percentage--just the fact that there's a credit card processing fee.
