Looks can be deceiving. This restaurant is not charming outside but pretty neat once you get inside, we were the first customers. The ambiance is very nice, the murals are amazing. They have booths, which is really nice if you want privacy, their bar is separate from their sit-down area. Our server is attentive, very friendly. We ordered Burrito Roqueta and Steak Burrito for my husband, coffee, and Horchata. The food was delicious, the servings were big. The only suggestion though, the Horchata is too sweet for my taste, and maybe add a little bit more of cinnamon. But other than that, the food was amazing! Also, their bathroom is clean, which is a big plus for me. We highly recommend this restaurant! My brother-in-law and his coworkers will try this restaurant next time they are in the area. read more

My wife and I went here yesterday for a long overdue lunch date (our first in two months after a recent health battle my darling just had to endure). So just being "out and about" was treat enough, but the cherry on top was how AWESOME this place is. 1. Very tasty (and dangerous) ultimate margaritas (my wife couldn't have any yet so she watched as I put two of them away myself as though I was chugging on water). 2. Verrry fresh guacamole and cheese dip. Excellent for dipping. 3. An awesome Molcajete with fresh carne asada, chicken, chorizo (the chorizo was especially good), and jumbo shrimp. 4. El Burrito Loco has really great food. The hostess was friendly and we were seated right away. We were there at 11:30am when they opened on a Sunday and the place was empty. You get a complementary chips and salsa with your food, the salsa is good but a bit bland. My husband and I ordered the Burritos roqueta to share and it was enough for the both of us to split. The meat was very tender and good, but overall it was lacking flavor. The rice was so soft, fluffy and yummy! The food was VERY pricey, we would only go back on a day they have specials. read more

Margaritas as big as you want but most importantly the food is delicious and affordable. The Ranchero Burrito was superb, including both steak and chicken fajita meat with perfectly spicy chorizo! Our waiter was very rude and rushy I walked in 5 min after my friends who were in the middle of ordering drinks I said hello to everyone including the waiter and asked for just a water. When it was time to order food my friend ordered first and asked for additional toppings (that we would pay for) and he told her no she's only allowed two in her tacos she shook it off whatever then when food came my order was something completely different than what I had asked for not a big deal I informed another waiter since ours was busy and he seen me looking around for assistance I told him I don't mean to bother but the food was not what I had ordered he changed it out for me and I apologized again for being a bother(if I was) then when it came time to pay this man literally started an argument with me and wanted me to pay for both my correct and incorrect order I didn't even have a bite of the wrong order because I noticed it right away I asked for it to be removed and he lost list I said I'm not paying for something I didn't order and didn't eat if I would have eaten it then absolutely by all means charge me for it. accidents happen and people make mistakes but come on to yell at me in the restaurant about it was ridiculous and uncalled for especially since again I didn't order it he then proceeded to go take it off my bill stood at the computer staring at me yelling to his coworkers about me and waving his arms around me completely rude and never have experienced this before 10/10 don't recommend think his name was Mannuel read more

The food here is really good but they are quite pricey. I went last weekend only because On the Border was too busy and I wanted Mexican food really bad. I paid $13 for just a burrito and $8 for a small margarita. In my opinion that's pretty expensive but then again, I'm comparing to On the Border where you can get a burrito AND rice/beans for $10 and a big margarita for $6. I remember the prices at El Burrito being way cheaper a few years ago. It seems like they raised them.. or maybe it's just me. I don't think I'd go here again. read more

Update - we went here last Sunday (kids eat free after all). They've changed the place a bit - just moved some counters around to make a friendlier entrance. We had a fantastic waiter. I dare say he was one of the best waiters we have had anywhere. I can remember when he was bussing tables way back when. I'm glad they promoted him. He was attentive to our needs, understood how to relate to our boys, provided just enough attention and follow up to be efficient. And the food - always good! read more

True foodie fans of authentic Mexican cuisine might want to begin groaning and eye rolling right now - but - God help me - I'm a fan of Tex-Mex, (or is it Texican?). Generous plates of Spanish rice, diced tomatoes, grated lettuce and crispy chimichanga meat bombs filled with shredded chicken or beef and topped with healthy dollops of sour cream and guac. Tuesday special Steak Fajitas for 10 bucks. Good also get in my face make me fatter kind of food. Fast friendly and when I was given the wrong skillet for my steak fajitas they gave us chips and salsa for free. Did not ask for it, they just did it to fix their mistake. Went here tonight remembering it was good in the past. Was completely disappointed. The interior is a bit run down, but clean. The menu was MASSIVE so I figured the food would be pretty "meh" because I can't imagine the kitchen staff can cook every single menu item extremely well and consistently. And that's pretty much exactly what we got. My chorizo tacos were good, but bland (chorizo was not spicy at all). My boyfriend complained his chimichanga was only crispy on the very edges, and was more of a wet burrito than anything else. But it wasn't bad either. But the real downer was the service. The waiter came to our table to take our order and bring our drinks and we never saw him again. Halfway through the meal we had no drinks. When we finished, we waited almost 20 minutes for a check and boxes we finally got someone's attention, it was either the owner or the manager (not sure which, but he acted like he was in charge). He apologized and got us our check and boxes. Offered us a dessert or drink to go, but we really just wanted to get out of there at that point. He was very friendly and obviously took our service problems seriously, but it didn't make up for the inattentive server. I did really appreciate the care, though. All in all, I'd probably eat lunch here again and hope for a better server, but probably not dinner. read more

Our favorite location! We have gotten to know the manager over the years! Today I got the cheese enchiladas (3) and a soft chicken taco! My taco didn't seem likes the stewed chicken that is usually in them, which is my favorite, and enchiladas were a little over cooked. My husband had the hot and spicy burrito. We shared the bean dip which was extra cheesy! Yum! But our chips seemed like they were over done and not toasty warm like they sometimes are. My family and I have dined here on multiple occasions. We have been impressed in the past on their service as well as the food. Tonight however it was a different story. Their card machine was not working. They requested we pay in cash and or ask for us to leave our card information for them to run at a later date. The wait staff was very rude and was not accommodating at all. They did not offer any compensation for their systems error. Based on how the situation was handled, we will look to eat elsewhere. read more
