Wasn't an option on the takeout menu. I got enchiladas. They added chips and salsa. I guess it's a free side My only issue was that they didn't put silverware in my takeout bag. And I didn't have access to utensils in my car or hotel. So I was in a bit of a bind as to how to eat this. Behind the facade of a ordinary looking building sits a fiesta of a Mexican restaurant. I saw this last year, and i knew that i had to come back to give it a try. Second time here. Pretty darn good Mexican food and I've had a lot all over the country. Service was great and the space is just very friendly. Restrooms were also very clean. I had the Chori Pollo which is one of my favorite things to get at different restaurants. They often put their own touch on it but this place did well with it. They gave me an excellent version with a good touch of chorizo and melted cheese queso over chicken. The beans and rice were also excellent. All the staff members are wearing masks and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Our guy was Oscar and he did excellent. He made sure we had enough water and that we could get in and out in good time. Basically every time I'm coming up to Oxford with certain friends, we're always going here. I really like this place! Been here for takeout and dine in a few times and experiences have been great. Staff is super friendly and service is quick. Interior is super cute and colorful. We live in Oxford and have always enjoyed the food. Sadly, this time they presented our chicken nachos with almost no cheese sauce. When I pointed it out. I appreciate their variety of lunch specials, which are a great deal and has a majority of their popular items. The grilled tacos are also a great option, my co worker likes the grilled chicken ones and I'm a fan of the al pastor. So came her on a Sunday and it was not what I expected. My daughter couldn't eat her food. The chicken nuggets smelled strange. ( freezer burnt and no barbecue sauce) I ordered cheese dip with sausage. What I received was a big plate of sausage no cheese. When I asked were the cheese was..the waiter added like a teaspoon of cheese. At that point I ordered cheese dip separately. After mentioning that I was confused about the large plate of sausage. I noticed the waiter completely avoided our table. The atmosphere is nice the paintings are beautiful within the restaurant. I learned something new. I always love this place, and this time was no exception. I went for lunch on a Friday, and had Nachos al Carbon. It's always been my favorite here, and it had been a while, so I was craving it. It was wonderful, the shrimp was perfectly cooked, the steak and chicken were tender, and it was just the right amount of spicy. Also, their salsa is freshly made and delicious, but since it's fresh, sometimes it's a little spicier than others, today it was on the spicy side, which I like. By far takes the cake as the best Mexican place in Oxford. As soon as you are seated (sometimes even as you're being seated) you are welcomed by warm tortilla chips and delicious salsa. They also have great beer prices and giant servings. The margaritas are large as well but they do try to fill them up with ice so they aren't very strong. I've had a few things on their very large menu, and have always been pleased. The Chori Pollo is amazing! Not only do they have better food than Fiesta Charra, but it is much cleaner as well. I came here with my son and his roommate on Parent's weekend. I had the Chori Pollo (chicken with ground chorizo and melted cheese) served with rice, beans and tortillas. My son had the Fiesta fajitas - which is pretty much every type of protein possible that is served. If you order a burrito, they are small. So when they ask how many you want, you have been advised. Overall, the food was pretty good. I think it's much better than other choices in town, but if you are a student and don't have a car, it's a haul. Really good if you want some Mexican food. It's a little ways off campus so it wasn't as crowded as other places closer to campus. Arroz con pollo and raspberry margarita were fresh. You can also get a similar dish with steak and shrimp along with the chicken. They refilled our chips and salsa throughout the meal without us asking. My family and I take an annual trip to Hueston woods which is just a little north of this Mexican restaurant. On our way home, we stop here for dinner. The service is fast and the food has always been really good. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor. The pork was well marinated with a healthy amount of pineapple. They were savory, sweet and had a ton of meat in each taco. Portions are large so consider sharing something. I look forward to next years visit and hitting up this spot once again. read more
