We looked things over and ordered so crazy yummy food. I will admit I have been wanting to come here for years and every time I was in The area other things came up. Well I am so glad I came today. I can't remember the last time I had such a yummy meal. I will be back again! I mean serious is just around the corner from the airport and the food is so good. I can't wait to come back.

The parking lot is a little small (pro tip: go around the round about to get to the actual entrance to the lot, the other entrance is blocked off), but it is totally worth the effort. I tried the horchata...huge glass and has incredible floral notes that I've boy had in other versions. 100% recommend! I also tried the cheese and the pork/cheese pupusas. Light, soft and completely delicious, the accompanying cabbage and carrot slaw was acidic and bright. Definitely delicious and the prices are super cheap. The salsas are very authentic, the green one being my favorite. I can't wait to bring people back here. The decor is simple and very clean, and there is a takeout area as well as some seating. The service was very fast and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

The chips and salsa are really good as well and taste homemade. They also have a salsa bar setup so you can try different salsas to your liking, the avocado salsa is my favorite!

Starting off with the place itself and the staff. Outside as you walk up has a great outdoor patio area, lots of seating and a fire pit, pretty nice option for outdoor seating. I like the Dia De Los Muertos guy in the front as well. I did not get photos of the patio since I could only have 20 pics, but it is a very nice setup. Inside, the staff was friendly as we walked in, our server was very nice as well, made sure our drinks stayed full and checked in on us often. The restaurant itself is large, plenty of seating all around and has a nice big bar as well. Even has a white mini grand piano in the bar area. Decor is vibrant and very clean inside. Now to the food and here is where I have mixed feelings. I really liked all the salsas as well as the habanero salad, super tasty and a good spice level as well, which is sometimes hard to find when I visit. The chips were on point as well. My rice and beans I also enjoyed. Where I was let down a bit was the chicken taco, taste was decent, but in the dryer side, but I liked it. My disappointment was in the beef tacos, first it was ground beef, not what I am used to in a taco from authentic Mexican food, normally shredded, but that was not the issue, the meat itself had a very odd taste, actually kind of like soy beef or somehow a bit off, flavor of the meat spoiled the taco for me. All in all I give the place 5 stars for the outside area, the staff, interior and bar was nice. Chips and all the salsa, rice and beans as well. 4 stars for the chicken taco, good not great. 2 stars and being generous on the beef tacos though, those need a lot of work. So I averaged it to 4 stars overall, I debating between 3-4, but the rest made me go higher. I would come back again for sure, I would just avoid the beef tacos IMO. They have a ton of stuff on the menu, thus my pics, so I am sure I would find a better choice. Enjoy!

At 7:55, our party of five was seated. Our server was great, she promptly got our drinks and chips & dip order. Then a short time later she took our food order; it was probably around 8:15-8: 25. Over an hour later, we still had not been served our dinner. I finally stopped the manager who was going around to various tables and advised him our food had been ordered (at this point) almost 1 1/2 hours ago. The manager stated he would look into this, that he would come back to our table and provide an update and would also discount our order due to the extended wait time. Shortly after this, our food was finally brought out by our server. However, the manager never came back. He never came back to let us know what happened and never checked on us. When it came time for us to get our bills, there was no discount either. The server was super nice, and took our checks back and had the manager add the discount. The main thing is, the restaurant wasn't even full. At least 1/3 of the tables were empty, there were quite a few people waiting for a table outside, as we had stepped out a few times during our wait and spoke with people who were waiting to be seated for over an hour. I did hear the hostess advising people that they were very short-staffed, which would explain why there were so many empty tables. But the manager should have at the very least come back to speak with our table and maybe also jumped in to help in the kitchen or elsewhere to get things moving. Our server was great & did the best she could. By the time we left the restaurant, it was around 10:30 pm.

If you can't speak at least a little Spanish you could run into some slight issues, but the food is delicious. They have the absolute best tres leche cake I've ever eaten. They offer both strawberry and peach flavors. HINT: I think it's cheaper if you go to the their mercado which is outside the restaurant, but still in the same building and purchase the cake. Especially if you're planning to take it home to eat later, like I do. I rarely have room for dessert after eating my dinner. If you ever need a large "sheet- style" cake for a special occasion you should really think about ordering the tres leche cake from here, but It does have chopped nuts on top, so if that's an issue make sure you ask them to leave them off. With nuts or without, your guests will be amazed. We REALLY miss the former Mercado. They used to serve delicious hot foods and had great prices on meats/chicken, house made salsas, etc., They got rid of that area to make more room in the restaurant for customers.
