We just ordered take out so we can't comment about the place's ambiance. Anyways after a long day roaming around the parks, we decided to order from here. Surprisingly they were still open late at night. My friend and I ordered two Esquites for ourselves and she also got a refresca. I was very surprised to see our order. Our Esquite cup was $7.20 but it was much smaller than I thought it would be. It honestly looked like a sauce cup for Birria. Our cup was okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It had all the right ingredients. It tasted very average. But the thing that got me was that this was $7.20. I was under the impression that it would be a medium-ish size, and not the container that stores three lime slices when people order tacos for take out. The quality did not correlate with the price whatsoever. For me, it's three stars for the Esquite Cup but two stars overall just because it was disappointing. My friend also said that her drink wasn't that good too. So all in all, los precios (the prices) estan locos. We actually said that the prices were loco and her drink was burro so that pretty much sums up our experience.
Finally got to check out this spot out! Let me tell you it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Cali burrito and it's everything I thought. I'd been craving one for a while and this one was as close as I could get to the real thing. (Cali burrito in California) the sauce they put in this was great. It had a little spice to it but nothing crazy. They even put extra on the side for you for the chips. The steak was delicious, no complaints there. Also ordered a side of guac, to be honest nothing too special about this guac. It was good. To order you just use the kiosk, so that was pretty easy. There was a staff member there who would serve the food. I definitely will be coming again! It's in a great spot located by icon park, the actual restaurant is a little hidden but gps took me right there.
Instagram was right food was Out of control, Burrito is a must, i am not huge fan of burritos but this was special, Cheesy cheese Burrito, I got Steak n Chorizo, you need this in your life. Tacos and nachos all delish. Super impressed with the Empanadas reminded me of Puertorican empanadas dough with Mexican flavor also a must for starters and All the sauces are wow. Definitely a must It's try place. Definitely coming back. Also prices are on par with the food taste and quantity. Service was amazing also. Like the Logo and decor is a pretty cool place.

Solid spot for Mexican food in Orlando! The food was great. I got the California burrito and it was loaded with flavor, big portions, and everything tasted fresh. The service was quick and friendly even though it was busy, and they made sure everything came out hot. The ambiance is casual and perfect for a late-night bite with clean tables, upbeat energy, and a chill vibe overall. Prices are fair for the portion size too. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm craving a good burrito.

I liked it here! I'm staying at the Holiday Inn across the street and was starving, so happy to find this spot. They have 3-4 gluten free options, and I ended up getting the cheese shrimp tacos. This came with 4 tacos but 8 tortillas, which was wild to me, so I ate each taco with just one tortilla! The cheese on the outside of the tortillas was a lovely touch. The shrimp was delicious and the sauces were divine. Super messy, but very good and satisfying. The place itself is clean and trendy, but I chose to take my food to go. It was done pretty quickly and the staff was great with helping me choose an entree. Was a little bummed that it didn't come with chips (we didn't see them as an add on either but maybe we just missed it). Overall pretty good! Average portion, not enough if you're super hungry, and great flavor.
I was looking for a late night eat in the area and decided to try El Burro Loco. I have to say, I think I've found my favorite place for late night eats. Their menu offers a twist on traditional Mexican food. It's a fairly small place, but has a decent amount of seating. You order and pickup at the counter. I went and ordered the quesabirria and the loco fries rancheras. It took about 15 mins for my food to come out. They seem to serve all their entrees in To-go containers, even though I said I was eating in. Not an issue, though. I couldn't tell which was better, the quesabirria or the fries. The quesabirria was excellent and stuffed with meat. The flavor of the birria really comes out. As for the fries, they were well seasoned and the toppings were tasty, as well as aesthetically pleasing. I would love to come back for a few of their other creations, such as the Queen's Pizza!

This is a busy eatery. Everything here seems to be made to order, so while the wait may be a bit longer than usual, your food will be fresh! Additionally, Angie was so accommodating when I returned 2 days later to place a dinner pick-up order to feed a boy's volleyball team. She included chips and pico de gallo and a discount you could only typically get when placing online orders. Thank you Angie!
Place is clean. You can easily miss the place. Sign is not obvious, does not pop out and scream Tacos. Service was ok. Took them 10mins. Place was empty. Ordered the street tacos. 15$ and come in 4 pcs. Came in a double corn tortilla, with all the works- cilantro, onions, green sauce, steak and radish. The steak was tough and bland. The tortilla was what I chewed and tasted. They skimped on the actual ingredients. The street corn came in a cup. A bit expensive at 4$ for a small cup. Corn was fresh, salty and greasy. Had a slight smoke hint.
Stopped by this restaurant during our recent vacation to Orlando. We stayed at Dockside Inn near Universal and this was super close to the resort. We placed an order online and went to pick it up. The restaurant was clean and had a lot of seating for folks who want to dine in. The service was great! We were greeted when we arrived and the little interactions we had from employees was friendly! We got our food pretty quickly. When we got back to our room, we started our feast. We got some classic loco fries, crunchy flautas, Birria Ramen, and chips and queso. The food here was AMAZING! By far the best thing we had in Orlando. The classic loco fries were absolutely delicious. All the sauce on them and the shredded steak was so flavorful. The chicken flautas were perfect as well. My girlfriend got the Birria Ramen and she loved it. She said the flavor was great and it was everything she'd expected it to be. The chips and queso were great as well. The chips were seasoned and the queso was authentic and enjoyable. 100% if you're in the area give this place a try. I've thought about it often after getting home from vacation, especially those loco fries. I wish we had something in Kentucky similar to this!
This review really deserves a 1-2 star but since it's a local business I pity gave it a 3. Was in town on vacation and we wanted Mexican food so we found this business had decent reviews. I'm used to authentic Mexican food in LA and this place just wasn't it. Their soda fountain wasn't available to order from but we saw the female cook come out and get a fountain drink for herself to drink. The horchata we ordered was horrible. The horchata was thick and tasted like arroz con leche, not horchata. We had to water it down and it was still bad. For 4 plain chicken tacos we paid approx $17. A lengua burrito with some chips was $20. The burrito was horrible, it was just little amounts of lengua with a bunch of lettuce, no rice or beans. We also got the nachos which were just chips with a little meat and lettuce with sour cream. There wasn't even any cheese or anything else. Have never had nachos so bad in my life. Never in my life have I heard of lettuce in nachos. If you're used to authentic Mexican food this isn't the place. They fell far short and we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I feel sad that locals or tourist think this is good Mexican food.

We were heading next door to Slap Noodle, but their line was super long, so we decided to stop in here instead. SO GLAD WE DID!!!! First off, the person at the counter was very helpful when ordering. The food was SO GOOD. I got the Quesabirra and OMG... amazing! My husband got a burrito, which was also really good. They also had this sort of garlic sauce that was incredible. The food did take a little while to arrive, but was so worth the wait!!! There was plenty of seating. I like the colorful clean design of the interior. read more

Birria EVERYTHING! El Burro Loco has Birria in every form you can think of, and it's all soooo good! The restaurant itself is a bit bare bones. Not much decor or frills, but the flavor of the food makes up for it. You're not really greeted when you walk in, but you walk up to the counter and use the computer to order. I went with a friend and we split a few appetizers and each got an entree. We ordered the Birria empanada, Birria dippers, chips and queso, and Birria ramen. Every single item was so fresh and flavorful. For drinks, we ordered horchata and it was made with equal amounts of spice and cream. So coming here was kinda a letdown as I just feel it was very underwhelming from start to finish! First our cashier while she was cool and nice she was just kinda overwhelming with trying to get us to get certain items one of which we did get but I'll get to that as this could have been awesome but totally fell short! This place screams Cali comfort food to me and that's exactly what I was hoping for but that certainly wasn't the case as the Queso Frito Cali Burrito was really just average when it comes to a California Burrito while it had some yummy flavors I found it to be very dry and as it just needed sauce inside of it to take place of where the sour cream should be, while they did give me two very small little cups of sauce it needed it to be inside to give it that much needed extra zest, I did find it yummy that it had cheese curds inside but it needed more flavor to make it awesome! My friend ordered the crunchy flautas she said they were just ok as it felt like more of a salad if anything as the meat inside was very hard to come by and for what we paid for here there should have been more inside as it just needed it very much so! Which brings up another thing their prices here are very high for this type of Mexican food as I've grown up in California eating this style for years and most recently went back home last month to visit some of my favorite spots and they still are not even as close to as high in price as what you pay for here. Overall I would have been stoked had this been better but it definitely fell short as I'd love to find an awesome Cali Burrito because it just screams home for me with that said it's very doubtful I'll be back here and it's back to the search! While it seems they are know for the Birria I'm hard pressed to find many that can top what I make at home so that's just another gamble I'm not gonna take by coming back here, don't get me wrong on anything here it wasn't horrible it was just very mediocre Cali style Mexican food for a high price! read more

My mom found this restaurant on Yelp and said it had good reviews. I was a little nervous but I trusted her since she's newly Yelp Elite. She and the restaurant didn't disappoint at all. We walked in and ordered at the counter, then sat ourselves. The wait was a bit long for the food but we noticed the cashier doing EVERYTHING in the front of the house. She wiped the tables, dumped the trash (washed her hands), and delivered food to the guests. The tacos are small street style tacos but they don't skimp on the meat. I ordered the birria street tacos (4 to an entree) and the birria empanada. The prices were fair and the food was amazing. My birria tacos were better than her shredded chicken tacos. They give a bunch of the dipping sauce for the tacos and the empeñada comes with a delicious aioli. I think the aioli was a cilantro sauce. The large empeñada was only $3 which was a steal in my opinion. I definitely look forward to coming back and would likely order ahead when i land before we make our way there. I've had a lot of tacos in my life, and these rank pretty high. The birria taco especially was packed with meat and that dipping consommé was rich and flavorful. Came with a side of rice and beans, which were both solid. Restaurant was clean and service was fast. Wouldn't mind a little more spice, but that's just me. All in all, I left full and happy. read more

I'm visiting from NYC and needed a quick bite in Orlando before traveling to the beach. We saw el burro loco and after looking at reviews decided to try it out. I read that they started off as a taco truck so I really wanted to try some more authentic food. The waitress was really sweet and welcoming. I ordered via the kiosk and chose the steak tacos and the Jamaica juice. The tacos were really aesthetically pleasing so I was looking to be impressed. However, the meat was very dry and unflavored. It tasted like they took it out the pack and just grilled it. The pepper sauce included was delicious and very peppery. The green sauce on top was good too, lots of cilantro and onions were placed on the tacos. However, the unseasoned and dry meat were not a vibe. Very disappointed. The quesadilla seems popular, so I would maybe try that. The Jamaica was good, a little sweet for me but my sisters liked it. read more

Had the birria street tacos and they were really good. For the price you pay, you get 4 tacos which is a good deal. The tacos were definitely tasty and I can't wait to have them again! I also got the house lemonade which was very delicious. The food came out quick and hot. We were looking at ordering food for the night after being at Universal all day and this place did not disappoint. I had the quesabirria (chicken). There was so much flavor in it. I tried it with my husband spicy sour cream and it was *chefs kiss*. It was such a big portion too. My husband had the Cali Burrito and he said since leaving California, it was one of the best he has had in forever! read more

Beyond being photogenic... this was overpriced "ok" food. The meat was dry, and not seasoned in all items. The guacamole tasted pre packaged and lacked actual flavor. The quesadilla was the best tasting item, but for over $50 it all was a bust. read more

"Best birria tacos" phrase gets thrown around very lightly nowadays. With so much competition. And a surge on food, foodies and businesses, it's very hard to stay afloat. With that being said. Here's a place that gets a lot of good street credibility, it must be the fact that they are part of the few business that come from the mobile cart life to a brick and mortar store. For the past few years this business has made such a big buzz with so many of us foodies, as well as most folk that get to try it. Their menu extends from the common and basic to homemade specials and some street food classics. Menu includes tacos, their own creation of fries, nachos and burritos. As well as delicious ramen. We got to try the fries, the ramen and the quesabirria. The fries were so filling. Definitely a plate to share. The garlic, green salsa and crema made this dish so well balanced. The crispy fries with the birria meat was on point! So much flavor! The ramen was the reason we came here. Some TIK tok videos show how yummy it looks and the real thing did not disappoint. The soup broth was so delicious, it was hot and the ramen is made separately and then added into the broth. This combinations allows all the juices to maintain their own flavors. I did finish the entire thing. Well worth the 12$ The quesabirria was delicious. No doubt. Unfortunately, it was over cooked on the outside. More than normal. Extra "crispy" other than that 10/10. The garlic sauce is a must. We took some home and eat it the next day. Tasted even better lol Horchata was the last item and even though it was tasty. It was really sugary. Like over the top. Could've made two out of one of them. We did asked it with very little ice. Sharing is caring. For our experience, this place does holds its weight, after countless of reviews, and word of mouth. It was ok Mexican food. Really not in the top tier category. I can't even recall liking what I ordered or the service. I've considered trying again to see if my first visit was a one off but haven't made the effort bc nothing stood out. read more
10/10 recommend. My family makes our own tortillas and has everything fresh when we eat Mexican food, but it's been so hard to find good places around here when we can't make our own. THE HORCHATA WAS AMAZING. It had a deep, excellent flavor, and you could tell it was homemade and fresh. Their birria was delicious and we loved how crispy the tortillas were... they weren't soggy or bland like other places we've tried. We also loved the birria dippers, but they are rich! All the dishes can easily fill up two people, and be warned that the red sauce is SPICY. the nachos were a perfectly balanced meal, and the chips were delicious. Customer service was very good- friendly and cheerful. We're so glad we finally found this place and we will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes! read more

Hello to all the parents out there. Let me describe your day. You've been walking around all day at --insert name of amusement park-- and you've paid top dollar for mediocre food. You crave the real deal. Well, you're in luck....you will leave this place happy. After a long day, I got on trusty Yelp to find some real food. Within a few minutes of my hotel was El Burro Loco. The place was small, and in a strip mall - close to the action. I ordered some loco fries, empanadas, and birria dippers. I know I over ordered, but I'm always one to take one for the team. Or, maybe I just like to try everything. Well, everything was awesome and so opposite of the food you find in the parks. It was so refreshing to get some real flavor. If you've walked around all day - you've earned some good food. Go visit this place! read more
