We were heading next door to Slap Noodle, but their line was super long, so we decided to stop in here instead. SO GLAD WE DID!!!! First off, the person at the counter was very helpful when ordering. We just ordered take out so we can't comment about the place's ambiance. Anyways after a long day roaming around the parks, we decided to order from here. Surprisingly they were still open late at night. My friend and I ordered two Esquites for ourselves and she also got a refresca. I was very surprised to see our order. Our Esquite cup was $7.20 but it was much smaller than I thought it would be. It honestly looked like a sauce cup for Birria. Our cup was okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It had all the right ingredients. It tasted very average. But the thing that got me was that this was $7.20. I was under the impression that it would be a medium-ish size, and not the container that stores three lime slices when people order tacos for take out. The quality did not correlate with the price whatsoever. For me, it's three stars for the Esquite Cup but two stars overall just because it was disappointing. My friend also said that her drink wasn't that good too. So all in all, los precios (the prices) estan locos. Finally got to check out this spot out! Let me tell you it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Cali burrito and it's everything I thought. I'd been craving one for a while and this one was as close as I could get to the real thing. (Cali burrito in California) the sauce they put in this was great. It had a little spice to it but nothing crazy. They even put extra on the side for you for the chips. The steak was delicious, no complaints there. Also ordered a side of guac, to be honest nothing too special about this guac. It was good. To order you just use the kiosk, so that was pretty easy. There was a staff member there who would serve the food. I definitely will be coming again! I liked it here! I'm staying at the Holiday Inn across the street and was starving, so happy to find this spot. They have 3-4 gluten free options, and I ended up getting the cheese shrimp tacos. This came with 4 tacos but 8 tortillas, which was wild to me, so I ate each taco with just one tortilla! The cheese on the outside of the tortillas was a lovely touch. The shrimp was delicious and the sauces were divine. Super messy, but very good and satisfying. The place itself is clean and trendy, but I chose to take my food to go. It was done pretty quickly and the staff was great with helping me choose an entree. Was a little bummed that it didn't come with chips (we didn't see them as an add on either but maybe we just missed it). Overall pretty good! Their menu offers a twist on traditional Mexican food. It's a fairly small place, but has a decent amount of seating. You order and pickup at the counter. I went and ordered the quesabirria and the loco fries rancheras. It took about 15 mins for my food to come out. They seem to serve all their entrees in To-go containers, even though I said I was eating in. Not an issue, though. I couldn't tell which was better, the quesabirria or the fries. The quesabirria was excellent and stuffed with meat. The flavor of the birria really comes out. As for the fries, they were well seasoned and the toppings were tasty, as well as aesthetically pleasing. Stopped by this restaurant during our recent vacation to Orlando. We stayed at Dockside Inn near Universal and this was super close to the resort. We placed an order online and went to pick it up. The restaurant was clean and had a lot of seating for folks who want to dine in. The service was great! We were greeted when we arrived and the little interactions we had from employees was friendly! We got our food pretty quickly. When we got back to our room, we started our feast. We got some classic loco fries, crunchy flautas, Birria Ramen, and chips and queso. The food here was AMAZING! By far the best thing we had in Orlando. The classic loco fries were absolutely delicious. All the sauce on them and the shredded steak was so flavorful. The chicken flautas were perfect as well. My girlfriend got the Birria Ramen and she loved it. She said the flavor was great and it was everything she'd expected it to be. The chips and queso were great as well. The chips were seasoned and the queso was authentic and enjoyable. 100% if you're in the area give this place a try. This review really deserves a 1-2 star but since it's a local business I pity gave it a 3. Was in town on vacation and we wanted Mexican food so we found this business had decent reviews. I'm used to authentic Mexican food in LA and this place just wasn't it. Their soda fountain wasn't available to order from but we saw the female cook come out and get a fountain drink for herself to drink. The horchata we ordered was horrible. The horchata was thick and tasted like arroz con leche, not horchata. We had to water it down and it was still bad. For 4 plain chicken tacos we paid approx $17. A lengua burrito with some chips was $20. The burrito was horrible, it was just little amounts of lengua with a bunch of lettuce, no rice or beans. We also got the nachos which were just chips with a little meat and lettuce with sour cream. There wasn't even any cheese or anything else. Have never had nachos so bad in my life. Never in my life have I heard of lettuce in nachos. If you're used to authentic Mexican food this isn't the place. They fell far short and we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Not much decor or frills, but the flavor of the food makes up for it. You're not really greeted when you walk in, but you walk up to the counter and use the computer to order. So coming here was kinda a letdown as I just feel it was very underwhelming from start to finish! First our cashier while she was cool and nice she was just kinda overwhelming with trying to get us to get certain items one of which we did get but I'll get to that as this could have been awesome but totally fell short! This place screams Cali comfort food to me and that's exactly what I was hoping for but that certainly wasn't the case as the Queso Frito Cali Burrito was really just average when it comes to a California Burrito while it had some yummy flavors I found it to be very dry and as it just needed sauce inside of it to take place of where the sour cream should be, while they did give me two very small little cups of sauce it needed it to be inside to give it that much needed extra zest, I did find it yummy that it had cheese curds inside but it needed more flavor to make it awesome! My friend ordered the crunchy flautas she said they were just ok as it felt like more of a salad if anything as the meat inside was very hard to come by and for what we paid for here there should have been more inside as it just needed it very much so! Which brings up another thing their prices here are very high for this type of Mexican food as I've grown up in California eating this style for years and most recently went back home last month to visit some of my favorite spots and they still are not even as close to as high in price as what you pay for here. Overall I would have been stoked had this been better but it definitely fell short as I'd love to find an awesome Cali Burrito because it just screams home for me with that said it's very doubtful I'll be back here and it's back to the search! My mom found this restaurant on Yelp and said it had good reviews. I was a little nervous but I trusted her since she's newly Yelp Elite. She and the restaurant didn't disappoint at all. We walked in and ordered at the counter, then sat ourselves. The wait was a bit long for the food but we noticed the cashier doing EVERYTHING in the front of the house. She wiped the tables, dumped the trash (washed her hands), and delivered food to the guests. The tacos are small street style tacos but they don't skimp on the meat. I ordered the birria street tacos (4 to an entree) and the birria empanada. The prices were fair and the food was amazing. My birria tacos were better than her shredded chicken tacos. They give a bunch of the dipping sauce for the tacos and the empeñada comes with a delicious aioli. I think the aioli was a cilantro sauce. I read that they started off as a taco truck so I really wanted to try some more authentic food. The waitress was really sweet and welcoming. I ordered via the kiosk and chose the steak tacos and the Jamaica juice. The tacos were really aesthetically pleasing so I was looking to be impressed. However, the meat was very dry and unflavored. It tasted like they took it out the pack and just grilled it. The pepper sauce included was delicious and very peppery. The green sauce on top was good too, lots of cilantro and onions were placed on the tacos. However, the unseasoned and dry meat were not a vibe. Very disappointed. We got to try the fries, the ramen and the quesabirria. The fries were so filling. Definitely a plate to share. The garlic, green salsa and crema made this dish so well balanced. The crispy fries with the birria meat was on point! So much flavor! The ramen was the reason we came here. Some TIK tok videos show how yummy it looks and the real thing did not disappoint. The soup broth was so delicious, it was hot and the ramen is made separately and then added into the broth. This combinations allows all the juices to maintain their own flavors. I did finish the entire thing. Well worth the 12$ The quesabirria was delicious. No doubt. Unfortunately, it was over cooked on the outside. More than normal. Extra "crispy" other than that 10/10. The garlic sauce is a must. We took some home and eat it the next day. Tasted even better lol Horchata was the last item and even though it was tasty. It was really sugary. Like over the top. 10/10 recommend. My family makes our own tortillas and has everything fresh when we eat Mexican food, but it's been so hard to find good places around here when we can't make our own. THE HORCHATA WAS AMAZING. It had a deep, excellent flavor, and you could tell it was homemade and fresh. Their birria was delicious and we loved how crispy the tortillas were... they weren't soggy or bland like other places we've tried. We also loved the birria dippers, but they are rich! All the dishes can easily fill up two people, and be warned that the red sauce is SPICY. the nachos were a perfectly balanced meal, and the chips were delicious. The place was small, and in a strip mall - close to the action. I ordered some loco fries, empanadas, and birria dippers. I know I over ordered, but I'm always one to take one for the team. Or, maybe I just like to try everything. Well, everything was awesome and so opposite of the food you find in the parks. It was so refreshing to get some real flavor. Honestly, the food truck was 100 times better. We walk in and only one table was waiting on food. It was dead silent in the restaurant no music no background noise nothing. It was very awkward. We ordered the food and drinks with no issue. Twenty mins later the restaurant was full and still no food coming out. It looked like it was just one cook and the register girl working. We finally got our food and drinks and the horchata was horrible. It's made from the powder and both drinks were not mixed at all and full powder. Honestly for the price (which for four people came out to more than 90 dollars) you'd expect something better. El burro loco has always been on the expensive side. Small hole in the wall kind of place in a touristy strip mall off of I-Drive. Apparently they had a food truck and just opened this sit down restaurant on 8/31/22. Normally, I would rate this one as a 3 based on the service, but since they just opened a couple of days ago, I'm hesitant to be too harsh. You have multiple ways to order: cashier, counter kiosk or online. They might even take phone calls too but not sure. When you walk in, there is a side corridor to bring you to order at the counter. However, I didn't notice it until after we walked through the center of the restaurant and placed our orders. I would suggest they make the corridor more visible if they want people to use it. Maybe extend a half wall so that when you walk in, you really can't just walk forward but would be forced to go to the right. It was very busy in there with a dozen people waiting for their takeout orders and a few other groups watching like hawks trying to swoop in and snatch any tables that cleared up. We were one of those groups and lucked out with a table. The seating is extremely limited but has enough room to expand it a bit. The center of the restaurant is empty. They could easily put another row of tables in. This would also help with directing people to the corridor on the right. Ordering was simple. Although, the delay with waiting on our food was not desirable. It is understandable though since they just opened and likely need to work through the kinks. I think it took about 30 minutes to get our orders. I was originally tempted to stop in because of their IG story of their birria quesadilla and glad that I did. The quesadilla was very good and came with a generous serving of broth to dip it in. It had a generous amount of meat and cheese in it. Super messy with all the grease but very good. Unfortunately, their napkins are paper thin and useless for sopping up the amount of grease it gave out. My friend, who is Mexican, loves a good birria taco and said she liked their version. She is ready to go back for other dishes to try as well. Another friend of mine tried the cheese tacos. It lived up to its name and had plenty of cheese to the point she complained there was too much cheese. Well, its safe to say, she got what she ordered. Haha. The elote corn bowl was just ok. They should top it with some tajin and maybe offer a cheaper version, without the meat. Also, the shredded lettuce didn't seem to belong in the dish and really didn't add much to it anyway. I would order it without the lettuce next time, if possible. Also would have preferred a generous amount of cilantro and onion on it. I don't think it came with any.
