This little joint happily surprised us for a recent lunch visit. Delicious food, extremely reasonable prices, and a colorful interior. The waitress did not speak much English, but we got our order across and she was very friendly. While we were eating, several groups of Hispanic customers filtered in and out. A good sign that this place is not only good, but also authentic. If we are in the area again and craving Mexican food, I would not hesitate to eat here again. read more

Nice little family joint we visited on a Sunday evening because nothing else was open, and were the only group in there until just before we left. The service was friendly but a little lassitudinous (forgot silverware, brought us napkins about five minutes after we asked) and the food spicing dialed way down, but a huge Mexican home-style menu with a few unusual entries. Alas, they were out of the eponymous goat! But I did sample the tres animales, which was a reasonable sampler, and other members of the party sampled the tacos. All pretty reasonable and ample portions. I'll admit we are from closer-to-Mexico Mexican food territory originally and are a little hard to please in this area, but El Cabrito is decent and homey and there's not a lot more you can ask for when you're hungry and tired on a Sunday night. Was there today on a date. It was great and high quality, good service too. I loved the food; the prices are better than Chipotle (which is not authentic Mexican food). Prices are over all good though they did not have coke zero, and they charged me $1.50 for a diet coke. They got fancier drinks that are good, I think the food prices are more reasonable than the drink prices. Overall, really good, and if you want an authentic Mexican experience without paying for the ridiculous prices of Taco Bell and Chipotle, this place definitely is worth a try. Just one thing to keep in mind is all the drinks are bottled or in cans, so refills are not free. Will definitely come back! read more

If you're visiting town- locals tend not to go here for obvious reasons- and you want average food and amazingly slow service, and food that takes so long to come you forget what you ordered, this place is ideal. But seriously. No. Don't eat here. they're snotty and ssslowwwww. As an eat-in customer (only once) and someone who's picked up Door Dash orders, this place is awful in terms of wait times. Whenever I see this place come up during my Door Dash shifts, I groan because I have to sit and wait for food for absurdly long times- 20 minutes or more for a pickup is UNACCEPTABLE especially when you do Door Dash, but that's on the low side of average for them. Imagine a restaurant trying to pretend to be high-end and not only NOT making it happen, but generally just being unpleasant. oh, and they're more expensive than other local places of the same genre too. costly, slow, sloppy- the trifecta in a bad restaurant. I mean, there are three other GOOD and FAST and FRIENDLY Mexican restaurants in town. go to one of those instead. one is two blocks away and the others are right off the highway running through town. This place is absolutely amazing. The prices are unbelievable in the first place, then you see the amount of food you get and it just gets even better. I got the hay Oaxaca which is a platter with 1 huarache, 1 sopa, and 1 taco and it was phenomenal. The mango juice is perfectly flavored and not too sweet. Service was a 10/10, our waitress Claudia was so nice and helpful. Very small restaurant but excellent vibes. I highly recommend! read more

Probably more like 3 stars food wise but they're new so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Friendly people and nice atmosphere. The tacos were disappointing. Seemed a little skimp on the meat (for a place like this) and all of the meats were dry and hard to differentiate from one another. I got asada, cecina, pastor and carnitas so I tried quite a few. The onion/cilantro to meat ratio was lacking (see bottom tacos on picture). Couldn't even see the meat in most of my tacos. GFs meal was okay but nothing special. I will say the chips and red salsa were delicious. read more

This place is legit! The margaritas are strong!! The food is delicious and I'm honestly surprised about the prices. Everything is so cheap but the food is out of this world delicious and authentic. The prices could raise by $10/$15 and I would still eat here all of the time. Extra shout out to our waitress, Quinn. She was absolutely fabulous and very sweet. She recommended items on the menu and made us feel like we were lifelong friends. The atmosphere is great and definitely will appeal to your younger demographic but all around I can't recommend this place more! read more

First time here. I'm giving the place four stars for portion sizes (huge!), value, and customer service. Our server, Melanie, was very upbeat, attentive, and the food came out quickly. I had the Cuban sandwich and my friend had Three Animals. The Cuban sandwich was not a traditional Cubano but it was still pretty good. My friend said the beef was tough on his dish but that everything else was good. They have a large menu and I would definitely like to go back to try other menu items. read more

I first came here shortly after they opened and the food was great, so the other day I pushed for my friends to come here for dinner and I ended up being so embarrassed. I will not be back. This time they got half our party's orders wrong. Some of the food was so greasy it was basically inedible. My taco combo was served with rice and beans that seemed like they had been plated and just left on the counter for several hours. The service was extremely slow (we had been in the restaurant for probably 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us). When asked to recommend a tequila for a margarita, the waitress just listed brands of alcohol including bacardi (not tequila) and when asked if the drinks are made with fresh lime juice she said yes, then served us sickly sweet margaritas obviously made with a cheap mix. I almost feel bad for her because it seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and she was the only person working on a Friday night. It was very disappointing. read more
