OBSESSED with Rise Up. It's a coffee chain that's only around the Eastern Shore and I desperately need it to come to DC. I think the closest it gets to DC is Annapolis, which is my no means close enough. I ordered the Rise Up breakfast burrito which was the perfect size (could be considered small for more voracious eaters, but I cannot stomach a ton of breakfast food in one go). It had perfectly grilled sear marks and everything was finely chopped in there so that it was easy to eat. My drink was the iced coffee smoothie with French Vanilla syrup and whipped cream. Ridiculously sweet but 300% what I wanted and I love that you can still taste the coffee. Another note - like all other Rise Up locations, the wait is long to order. However it's a relatively decent turnaround for food/drinks. The inside is clean and has a ton of seating too. Highly recommend and urge Rise Up to come to DC. read more

Rise Up is an Eastern Shore treat!! If we leave Ocean City early we try to stop at Rise Up in Cambridge on our way home. It never disappoints. My favorite is the breakfast burrito. It is large and heavy. We always split it, which makes it the perfect breakfast treat. It has a little kick because of the chorizo sausage. Hash browns were delicious, the green onions gave them extra flavor. They have picnic tables outside which was perfect for our dog. Highly recommend!! read more

Cambridge is the only location that is inconsistent with food and service . Twice I have been there and they had no express0, often out of ingredients, several occasions I have had over cooked or dry potatoes in my bowl and my cappuccino coffee drinks are never consistent , ( they blame it on me on dairy milk) which I never have a problem anywhere else . For years, have sporadically purchased their whole bean coffee at DC area natural foods stores. Was excited to finally check out the storefront and coffee shop in person. And, lemme tell ya - was not disappointed. For starters, the vibe. It's just perfect. The exterior has some cozy & hip seating. The interior is inviting, rustic + modern + artsy. I loved the decor. All of it. Even the bathroom was amazing and a sight for sore eyes. It's a place you could hang out for a bit and truly enjoy yourself. The seating area is its own area a little tucked away from the ordering area. There are plenty of seats as well. It felt spacious to me. Loved the layout and the black/white graphic theme. The coffee was wonderful. Ordered an Americano (iced) which I don't normally do but tried something different. No additives - just the coffee and milk. It was just right - not too strong, not too much milk. Loved the cup and the cool black/white straw. Those little touches make a coffee lover feel special. Topped if off with an egg sandwich (just egg on a buttered biscuit). No complaints. And I'm one picky gal. The biscuit was delicious. The sandwich tasted fresh and wasn't too greasy. Just right. I happened to be on my way home from the Eastern Shore one Sunday and decided to stop by. My cousin posted about Rise Up a few times on social media and so I became curious. However, I'm not sure why because I'm not a coffee drinker. When I arrived, parking was a breeze. Upon entering the building, I was a little confused because it was so crowded inside. Where does the line end?...where does it begin? After asking people if they were ordering or waiting for their order, I finally found my place. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which consisted of bacon, egg, and cheese on a homemade biscuit and an iced chai latte. I still had to wait a while to get my food amongst the crowd. I found everything to be satisfying but nothing to shout about. I would say that a win was the bacon on my sandwich. I like my bacon crispy, especially when it's on a sandwich. Rise Up did it right. Chai latte was refreshing. I could see myself returning if in the area although I'm not in a rush to do so. read more

We have been in town for 1 night and have already been here twice! The coffee smoothies are delicious on a hot day & the fruit smoothies can be customized with a variety of fruit. For breakfast we had avocado toast, the Rise Up burrito, and the banana splat bowl. They were helpful in customizing the avocado toast for our kiddo too. Food came out fast and was delicious. The cafe au lait was also great - the coffee is clearly high quality. There is plenty of space inside and out and the space has a modern vibe with both bar seating and big communal tables. Rise up has been my favorite ever since I've lived in Salisbury a few years ago. I've since moved away but have driven back just for this breakfast! It's also become a mandatory stop every time I'm on the eastern shore. Yes, that's how good it is. The location is Cambridge is just as great as I remember. I took some of my friends and sure enough, I didn't just hype it up. The coffee and food lived up to my excitement. So happy to see that they had good business despite the pandemic. I would not recommend this place. I stopped here on my way to ocean city and it took forever to make a breakfast sandwich. When I opened it up it was cold, there was lots of hair in it and the biscuit was broken into many pieces. Also their bathrooms and the parking lot are very dirty. read more

They didn't put in our sandwiches until after the pick up time (?) so it took much longer than expected. Iced latte and chocolate banana coffee smoothie we ordered were decent. Smoothie was too chocolatey, which I would never say since I love chocolate. Breakfast sandwiches were fine but not worth the wait at all. Nothing special. The bathrooms are family style (large) single occupancy which was frustrating and I saw a few people waiting around to get into one. The people there were nice enough and friendly so that was good. I had no idea there was a Rise Up coffee cafe to the place I was visiting! I'm like.. I MUST TRY. I usually buy Rise Up coffee beans around home (DC area) and to actually try it in a cafe is exciting. I just ordered the iced coffee, to compliment the warm day that was ahead. And the taste is satisfactory to the taste buds. The only thing I didn't really like is the paper straws because it tends to.. whats the right word.. tend to soak the drink in, which causes difficulty to continue using the straw to drink the beverage If I were to visit the area again, I would deff come by again to get my coffee fix! Yum!!! Finally venturing out to start going to cafes...and trying to feel out our comfort level. We decided to go out if town for a bit and head to the eastern shore! Stumbled upon one of Rise Up's locations in Cambridge MD Where we were staying for the long weekend. DELICIOUS breakfast and lunch options along with their amazing coffee. My husband always gets the dark roast drip coffee, and we got their breakfast sandwich from their sister store (next door) Mad Eggs, that has a killer logo! The sandwiches were straight forward, no frills and made oh so fresh, from the hearty eggs, delicious crispy bacon and sausage patties! It has a fast food feel but exceeds the mediocre fast food taste. We loved our sandwiches and we plan on coming back for lunch to try other options. I mean....they have tator tots....come on... Decided to order some breakfast and ordered the avocado toast, sunrise burrito, latte. Everything was solid from the food to the coffee. Definitely a great place to grab breakfast burritos from, there was a good amount of filling and it was made fresh to order. Coffee was smooth and tasted great. The only knock I had was that the toast was soggy so it had a hard time holding up the avocado/toppings but otherwise the flavor was great. The employee toasted the bread upon order but it may have gotten soggy since the freshly toasted bread was sitting in the to go container, so the steam may have softened the bread. We had the avo toast, rise up burrito and a biscuit breakfast sandwich w/ scrapple (reminiscent of a McDonald's breakfast sandwich so I wasn't too fond of that). The bread is thin and grilled to perfection and holds the weight of the toppings very well. Açaí Bowl--sooooo good! Loaded with fresh fruit and tons of granola, drizzled with honey. Easily better than Jamba Juice bowls. The smoothie puree is so good too. Everything pairs well. Also ordered house blend coffee and two cups of water. Coffee is terrific and smells so good. Atmosphere--wide, open space with plenty of community tables. Has free wifi and lots of people are on their laptops. Cool music (was playing Marvin Gaye when I walked in). Bathrooms are very clean and spacious--provide Dr. Bronner soap. Wood accents and walls make for a serene ambience and the comfy stools were the right height for the tables. On a drive from central MD to Ocean City, this is my favorite and most highly recommended pit stop! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. As for the coffee, stick with espresso drinks, as they are consistently good. As for cold brew and nitro, my experience hasn't been as consistent/reliable. Unfortunately, as of Nov 2020, the inside is not open due to COVID. I understand, but I wish they would at least open the inside for bathroom use only. We had to use the single porta potty outside. All the being said, this is still my favorite pit stop! read more

We stopped here on our way back from the beach and were so pleasantly surprised to find it! It's kind of a random location right off the highway but I'm glad to see they were pretty busy. We ordered our food at the outside window and sat outside. In the Covid era they must only have outdoor seating right now, which I appreciated. We were able to snag a table under the shade next to the building. I would recommend getting some umbrellas for the other outside seating. The sun can be so inhospitable. We ordered a breakfast burrito and an açaí bowl. Both were DELICIOUS! Such quality and fresh ingredients. Prices are reasonable for the amazing quality of the food. The coffee here is also unbelievably amazing! The service is also so great, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I'm so glad I know this is here. It's super convenient for driving back from the beach. I would highly recommend this spot. You won't find a better food or coffee option. read more
