    Enchiladas verdes tradicionales

Standard tex mex fare. Definitely needed hot sauce which they provided but the portions and the price were nice. I had the enchiladas verdes tradicionales and my dad had the fajitas. My food came out ok but my dad's order came with tortillas but they never arrived until we flagged down the waitress. They brought out the flour ones when he asked for the corn ones.

Good food, service was quick and great ambience. I recommend this place for combos or individual orders of Enchiladas, Burritos and Quesadillas. Churros were good too.

We were all hangry and desperately trying to decide where to eat and sort of just landed at El Cajelito by chance, but we left full and happy. The building isn't much to look at and the decor and colors are dated but charming in a nostalgic kind of way. We were seated very quickly and all the workers we encountered were friendly and helpful. The table ordered a queso and a guacamole dip to share, and I had the Pollo Loco, my sister had the Texas fajitas, our mother had steak fajitas. Our food came very quickly and everything was hot and flavorful. My pollo loco was grilled to perfection and there was an abundance of mushrooms, zucchini and spinach. Unfortunately there were also a lot of onions mixed into the spinach that wasn't listed on the menu. I wouldn't have ordered this if they had been, but I picked around them. The zucchini was so perfectly cooked and seasoned they ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The refried beans were pretty underwhelming to below average. The rice was fine, but nothing to write home about. 7.5/10 overall for my main meal. Both of the fajita dishes were really good too, my sister said it was the best shrimp fajitas she has ever had (and we are from Texas/live in Florida and eat a LOT of Mexican food!) My mother really enjoyed hers as well, with the standout being of all things, the grilled tomatoes. A minor detail but they really elevated the dish. They both did think there were too many onions in their food as well, but overall they would order them again. 8/10. Salsa was good and smooth which is how I prefer it, I can't stand a chunky salsa. Guacamole dip was my favorite thing as it was super smooth with absolutely no chunks and reminded me of my favorite place back in Kentucky. The cheese dip was good, thin and creamy. We will definitely be back!

The food here is fantastic! All of the food appeared to be well priced and affordable and the service is superb. I ordered the Chile relleno plate and it is legit. Super tasty, perfect amount of spice. My husband ordered the chapo fajitas and from the few bites I had I would say that it was delicious. I also got a medium margarita on the rocks which was a good deal, even if a bit sweet for my tastes. 100% would recommend coming here after an intense day hike in GSMNP as we did, the food was perfect recovery food. Now off to take a nap.

This restaurant adds a good diversity to your appetite on a Smokies trip! We were a group of a 8 at this restaurant. They served us very quick and understood our needs correctly. We loved the food overall, it was tasty and well crafted. However, the dessert disappointed us to some extent. Seating and ambiance was very good. Staff was friendly! Overall, good vibes and recommended.

Absolutely amazing and authentic!! Great service! Grear Food, this place is a keeper! If you're in Cherokee don't spend a ton of money eating Gordon Ramsey or Guy just come enjoy a huge meal for 1/3 the cost!!!

Simple decor, quick service. Loved my tacos. I got traditional street tacos, one steak one carnitas and one sope with Al pastor. Steak was pretty standard, tasty lean meat nothing wow but also still delicious. Carnitas was great, not greasy, very good flavor, my favorite meat of the three. The sope base was perfection, crispy bottom but soft center, I could live without the Al pastor meat it was my least favorite of the three although my toddler loved it. Also got the Kids ACP which was fantastic and my little gobbled it up. Would recommend for a good meal post hikes.

I did a quick Yelp search and this Mexican restaurant at the house reviews and we are thankful that we visited it. It was situated right on the tuckaseegee River and even though it was about 378° f outside we still decided to sit outside just to be by the river. Started off with the basket of chips and salsa and both were freshly prepared and our meals were very good and very authentic and the wait staff again here was very friendly checked on you often and again even outside they were coming out there every couple of minutes to check and make sure we had everything that we needed. This restaurant is just a mile or two outside of the downtown so it's well worth a car ride over there to get some really good authentic Mexican and if you like margaritas or draft beer you're not going to find a better prices anywhere in North Carolina.

Port Queens was ranked in the top five in the Bryson city area and I knew we'd get filled up and have a good meal when we saw they had salsa bar. I had read the reviews and heard some good things about their quesadillas so decided to give them a try. We started out sampling each one of their salsa from the salsa bar with the tortilla chips before dinner. The food was great and the service was excellent. The quesadilla was stuffed full and was a huge portion size with the beans. We both ate about half and finished off the rest for breakfast at the Airbnb. I will definitely keep the four queens on my radar for my next trip to Sylva or Bryson City.

The place itself had more of a vibe of a hotel lobby than that of a restaurant....a bit too spread out as well? Also, it was too quiet for such a spacious layout. Definitely needed to crank up the music. That can be said of this entire hotel-casino. Possibly catering to senior's finicky sensibilities, but overhead music is very subdued throughout the hotel-casino...and for me personally, it made the place feel a lot less festive. We also had this wonky table, but our waitress tried her best to fix it. In any case, we ordered the Lobster Lollipop for appetizer, a Caesar Salad, and a BBQ Rack with sides...all to share. Well, I can't complain...all the foods were delish. The flavors were rich and buttery. I would have liked to try one of their entrees, but I just wasn't hungry, so we just ordered 1 entree, 1 salad and 1 app to share. It turned out to be good call...as all the dishes had generous portions. Overall, we liked the restaurant. Frankly, the vibe just wasn't that great. Again, the place felt like a hotel lobby. Still, the food and the service was good, and think we'd both be willing to revisit in the future.

The service was very good. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food: Oh my - I'm glad this was basically free because wow, not good. Chili - we both ordered. It was cool not even luke warm, like the cheese on top was put under a broiler to melt but everything else was cool. I LOVE chili and I could only eat a couple bites. I did not try the cornbread muffin, I'm a cracker girl, so can't review it. The wings were edible but just ho-hum. Wish they were crispier and the sauce had more flavor. Buffalo wild wings are much better and cheaper. The chocolate cake was HUGE! They must keep this in the fridge, because it was cold and the waitress even mentioned it tastes better the longer it "sits out" so... I took two bites, just so disappointing. It tasted old, definitely not a tender, fresh cake. We left a lot of uneaten food - Guy Fieri - if this is representative of your food, shame, shame, shame...
