This truck used to have good food. I don't know what's happened in the last several months but today convinced me I will never eat there again, it was the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. I ordered arroz con pollo, and my friend ordered the Plato Mexicano de carne asada. My food had enough salt in it for 3 plates of food and his had no salt at all and was terribly bland. My food looked like slop quite frankly. It was mostly rice with little pieces of chicken, onions, peppers and little bit of cheese in it. It was not like any arroz con pollo that I've ever had. It was like something a beginner home cook would throw together out of leftovers in their fridge - and that's what it tasted like only worse. Corn tortillas came with the meal, and one of the tortillas had some kind of old peppers stuck to it - horrible! And to top it all off, it was pricey; $30 for 2 dishes! Never again. Bottom line - don't bother it's not worth the trip there. You're better off going to El Sabor. read more

Best Mexican food truck! The burritos are the best and I recommend you try them wet (covered in sauce.)

After seeing it maybe a dozen times due to absurdly frequent trips to Home Depot, we figured we had to try it. We ordered ahead online for takeout. The food was pretty solid. Mole plate didn't have the most deep or rich chocolate flavor. It was maybe too sweet, with a nice kick. Chicken leg was nice a big. Also got the huevos rancheros which was really good. Rice and black beans were fantastically well salted and seasoned, with black beans right between being too hard and too soft. The egg and green sauce was great. We also got chips, which was not as well seasoned as I like, but were interesting (they had a sour, lime-like flavor, like lime tostidos with less salt and more sour). Pico de gallo was really nice and fresh. We didn't realize salsa was something we had to get separately, so don't forget that with your order of chips! We thought the portion sizes were fairly good for the price. There is a small, outdoor seating area with space heaters. read more

Yummmm!!! We live a short 2 minute walk from the location in West Seattle across from Endolyne Joe's and kiddy corner from Wildwood Market. Everything we've ever ordered from there is so tasty!!!! We love the taco's, beans n rice, guacamole and the tamale's with the pork. My husband loves the carne asada burritos, they are massive. There is hardly ever a wait and the service is very friendly and fast. We go at least once a week. Great for the Vashon commuters, Lincoln Park go'ers and the neighborhood. I have been to several Mexican food trucks and restaurants, but none have I found to match the taste and quality of this one! In fact, this particular location even cooks better than their other ones, albeit slightly. This is hands down one of the best Mexican food locations in Seattle. If you go, try their Los Gallos Rojos. It's so good that they limit the amount you can buy per order. I've been here a couple times to snag takeaway en route home. Usually I grab a trio of tacos for me, a torta for the husband, and serve with a big bowl of Juanita's chips and dinner is set! I realised that I hadn't written a review for this location so I thought I'd remedy this tonight. A good friend of mine and my husband took a bike ride, culminating in a stop here so I got some tasty food when they returned home! I received a breakfast burrito and one chicken tamale. The burrito could have easily fed two people. I had one half when my friends brought it home and then the other half the next day. It was stuffed with eggs, chunks of ham, and a glorious amount of black beans. Sadly, my tamale wasn't my favourite thing. It was flavorful and the chicken was good, but overall the masa felt a little too moist. I can't give them five stars though. First I have to say the review I'm giving it doesn't fit with how much I like and eat here and I generally don't give poor reviews, but this was the second time I was given the wrong order. The first time it was caught before I left, but this time it wasn't noticed until I got home. Unfortunately it was almost closing time and I live 20 minutes away from the Aurora food truck, and since the power was torn out of my house I needed to eat what I had. My original order was for the El Capitan nachos, instead I received some sort of breakfast dish with chips beans and egg. Not that it was bad, but seriously disappointing when you drive 20 minutes late in the day for dinner and looking forward to a certain dish. Don't let this affect your trying them because the food is very good, just don't leave until you've verified you've received what you ordered. read more

Great value on some delicious Mexican. I got the adobado burrito with grilled veggies and some chips. All around it was fantastic! The burrito was much larger than my hand and while I went into full fatty mode and ate the whole thing I could easily have eaten half now and half later and been satisfied (assuming I could resist eating that second half). The chips were also very tasty though they were out of Guac which was a bit of a bummer. I would have preferred to have eaten there because they have tiny salsa containers. Tacos for only $1.40?? How do you guys stay in business?? I was able to try some of their food during Mobile Chowdown this year. I feel bad because this place was sort of an afterthought and by the time I realized I wanted to check it out, the line was SO long. (I think the wait was just over 30 minutes). I didn't mind the wait though because it gave me enough time to digest the other foods I had eaten and come out of my food coma... I ordered the carne asada, adobada, and fish tacos. They were simply made with fresh vegetables and a little pico de gallo. The meats were all tender and well seasoned; my favorite being the adobada. I was on a taco truck mission one week. This one totally rocked my socks. Located in the Home Depot parking lot, but I love how it's still separates itself from the actual parking lot. I did wait awhile to get my food, but at least I knew it was going to be hot and fresh. I got an order of fish tacos and a beef burrito. Holy moly, the burrito was humoungus! It was like 4 burrittos in one delicious wrapped goodness. It's nice that they are this big, but having leftovers of this isn't all that great because it just doesn't taste the same after reheating it. The fish tacos were so good as well. The fish was not fried which made the taco even more moist and yummy! They don't have a menu posted on the outside of their truck. You'll have to ask them to look at their menu. I like El Camion. I've come here multiple times and have gotten to try their tacos, carne asada plate, mole, as well as civeche. Their tacos are great, lots of meat, fresh veggies on top, and well seasoned. Another go-to is the carne asada plate which comes w/ beans, rice, tortillas, a huge chunk of steak, and avocado. The meal is easily stretched into two meals. I like their civeche, but the last time I had it, it was overly salty. However, the portion was generous and it came w/ lots of tortilla chips. I love mexican food and have eaten at many a taquiera all over the place and I have to say that these mulitas are the best. Red pork, cheese, cilantro, green salsa, red onions and orn tortillas overall tasty. A little too much cheese but seriously can you ever really have tooo much cheese? El Camion is one of the most hyped up food trucks in Seattle. The food truck serves a decent lunch, but does leave alot to be desired. The quesadilla has little meat and way to many vegatables making the taste very confusing on it. The chips taste a bit store bought and do not have any real flavor to them. The prices are average for your food truck taco fare but with the amount of food trucks and local mexican restaurants in the area, I would look elsewhere. read more

Got lured to do some home improvement projects with the promise of fish tacos here. Totally worth it. Got the fish tacos as well as a lengua and a chicken taco and they were all good. I'd drop in to the Home Depot where El Camion was located fairly frequently, but never had occasion to be hungry enough to try these guys. After many a missed trip, I finally got around to ordering a pollo asado and carnitas taco one day. While the pollo asado was okay, the carnitas were downright delicious, and much recommended. And at $1.86 each (about a year ago) for some fairly filling tacos, they're a pretty reasonable deal too. read more

This is one of my top 5 favorite taco/Mexican spots in the Seattle area. The menu is quite large for a taco "truck" (we usually go to the location on 99 by Home Depot) and can be overwhelming, but I have enjoyed everything we have ordered. I am a lucky girl who works 3 minutes away from this Home Depot Parking Lot (Okay, maybe I'm not so lucky since I'm working on Aurora next to every fast food chain imaginable). I had a chicken taco, carnitas taco, steak taco, and a chicken tamale. The chicken tamale was disappointing with really un-cornlike masa (not sure how to describe something that doesn't taste like corn) and it was not wrapped in corn husks like usual tamales which may be part of the flavor problem. The tacos were delicious though!!! The tortillas were perfectly griddled to have a little crunch but still soft enough. My favorite of the meat variety was carnitas which was moist with crunchy bits in it. The chicken and steak were good but I think when it comes to tacos, carnitas is always the way to go! ...BTW, what is up with American's and their chicken.. it's like get a different protein!!!. The only thing I could complain about is that it could have had some sort of sour cream or guacamole that came on the taco (I'm sure I could have ordered this as a side). The salsa's were pretty delicious despite the fact that they were put out in big bowls outside the cart where you dig in (I might be a wee bit high maintenance and have a little problem with public sharing of condiments like at Mariner's game where your shoving ladles of onions and kraut where you have no idea where the ladle was). I like the tent they have set up with christmas lights on the dusty ground. Every food cart eatery should have this. read more

Really good fish tacos, okay chicken tacos. The fish tacos have a ton of flavor which is in part due to the sauce. I thought the chicken tacos were really lacking in taste. One thing I really liked about these tacos is the light crispiness of the actual tacos. I just ordered 3 tacos de asada, they do put lots of meat and lots of tomato but the meat did not have flavor and it was cold and the pico de Gallo was just sad looking not even fresh onions the limes also very hard to get some juice. The only thing fresher was probably the cilantro and the salsa the churros don't even get it. I want real tacos I only had one of 3 wasted my money read more
