The interior is almost like a fast food joint's. It gives old Taco Bell vibes. I ordered 3 enchiladas as sides and 2 quesabirria tacos to go. The quesabirria tacos were the best item I ordered and came with chopped white onions and cilantro. I would definitely try that again. All the enchiladas I ordered were Verde, and they were kind of bland. The meats inside were good, though. I got cabeza, carnitas, and adobada. I had to use salsas from the salsa bar to help with the rest of the enchiladas. Next time I would try the other kinds of enchiladas with different sauce flavors. I didn't like the smoky or spiciest salsas, but the green salsa and mild red salsa taste good enough to drink. I wish I could pack the pickled carrots myself because they're kept in small baggies with only a few inside, and I need a ton of those, especially to make up for not getting free chips. read more

Came here with a friendly late on a Tuesday night about 40 minutes before they closed. Was looking to just get some tacos, but we splurged and also got a steak quesadilla to share as well. The staff here was SOOO friendly and that's what truly made our experience. I honestly feel like the food was very mid and deserved a 3/5, but because the service exceeded my expectations, I give them a solid 4/5 to make up for that. But these folks offer a good selection of Mexican food staples, plus a few things I usually don't see on the menu. I have never been disappointed - they get the basics right. Service has always been friendly, and the place always seems to be moderately busy. This is a great stop for me, just off the Interurban Trail (need to walk the bike carefully down the very small grassy hillside), and is one of my favorites along that route. read more

Stopped by here late around 10pm on a Saturday. The place is a bit small and a little outdated but service is good, tacos are tasty, and there's a salsa bar available! I got an asada and tripa taco. My favorite Mexican food in WA by far!! It's authentic, fresh, and delicious. They have an awesome salsa bar as well, which is my favorite. I love to load up on salsa, jalapeños, and carrots to add some extra spice and crunch to my meal. I've been here probably about a dozen times and never been disappointed by the food. If they are super busy the food can take a minute but it's worth the wait! I used to order from this place all the time, and it was great. Then one day, the most popular menu items were removed (all of their combo meals). I was hoping it had something to do with the chicken shortage at the time, and I waited and watched the menu... it never came back. Yesterday I was on a job for most of the day. I was starving by the time I got done. I was in the general area of Shoreline and it has been sometime since I've been to El Sabot. I moved to Marysville approximately four years ago and had not been around this little area since then. El Sabor really hit the mark, with the five taco plate, I ordered. I ordered carnitas, shredded beef, and chicken. The little street tacos were so yummy. I really enjoyed them. They have a bar where you can get different salsas, hot sauces, and marinated vegetables. Pricing for the five tacos, including a soda was just under $20. I would've given them a five star rating, but it seemed a little pricey. I get though everything has gone up and it just was a little surprising because I hadn't been there in so long. Would I do it again absolutely it was worth the price. The staff are sweet and they're very quick to turn your food around. I'm glad I was able to check this place out again I really enjoyed the food. Well done ! Yummy tacos with fatty meat. Prices are fairly normal, but they do have bundles so more tacos is cheaper. The tacos would taste much better if the tortillas were given any other flavor dipping into oil or sauce. As is, they were pretty plain and dry. Carnitas stole the show for me, super flavorful and fatty. Birria and adobada tacos were pretty solid, not crazy amazing but tasty. Meat portions were fair, maybe even better than expected. Asada, on the other hand, made me hesitant with my rating because the pieces were too chewy and impossible to break down. Those Asada Tacos had my jaw sore from trying to bite down and chew. If I never ordered them, my experience would be much better, but they definitely made me question the consistency. read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could. I've come here 20+ times in the last year, and I have to say that no other Mexican spot compares. First off, food - you're not gonna get better, more flavorful carnitas tacos (my favorite) anywhere else for a better price (I PROMISE.) their Carnitas are cooked to perfection and are slightly crispy but soft and so delicious especially with their complimentary salsas. I love the light green salsa, especially with a side of chips. I love their Asada burritos too - ugh best asada I've ever had, anywhere. Their rice and beans are just perfect, too! They hit the spot every single time for me. Honestly, as long as I'm in the Seattle area I'll be loyal to them. The interior is classic and modest, with a few TVs playing Hispanic tv shows. The staff are friendly faces now, and I wouldn't want to be supporting any other family owned, genuinely kind service (and really fast!!!) spot. I would recommend Taqueria El Sabor over and over. Was my go to taqueria. Not the same restaurant anymore. BEWARE! They will over charge you for your meal and then try to blame their "old menu." For the price not being correct. Super uncomfortable to be so polite but hold my ground to explain the price for my meal is $14.49 + $1 for steak. They tried charging me $20.99. Them to e two women present go off into some animated Spanish speaking dialogue, clearly pointing at me and referencing me and with a horrible tone. So...NEVER AGAIN. Fawk El Sabor. Came to this place on a whim since there weren't that many places open after 10. I was absolutely blown away by the prices and quality! Maybe I was more hungry than usual, wow! The chicken tacos were my favorite, as the other two (carnitas and birria) were a little more stringy/chewy. Pre-covid, El Sabor was one of my favorite places to get an authentic Mexican meal locally. I've been back twice since things started to open up. Portion sizes have gone down a bit. Not a terrible thing. Flavor-wise... perhaps they are trying to cater to a broader audience. The familiar bit of spices and tanginess of Mexican seasonings seems to be missing. It's tough for any business to survive particular restaurants today. I'm going to all back on some of my other favorites and check in again in six months. Bonus tips: -Outdoor seating all year round. Grab some pickled carrots and radishes so you can lie to yourself about how healthy you are eating. There is a scarily large menu to choose from and I've not been brave enough to adventure into the seafood (yet). This place is amazing! What a quality find in the heart of Shoreline. Decided to give this place a try after craving some authentic Mexican food. In order to dine in, you must show your proof of vaccination. The staff was incredibly kind and their menu food choices were vast and bountiful. I ordered the nachos, pollo tacos and the pollo rancheros. The food came out incredibly fast and they have free toppings/salsas to include with your dish! Tried this Mexican restaurant today, we all were v hungry so wanted to go to Mexican restaurant. We love Mexican food and this would be one of the worst tasting Mexican restaurants that I have tried around Seattle area. We ordered a mix of lunch burrito, shrimp plate with veggies, chicken quesadillas and a chicken combo plate. The chicken combo was the best among all these, though this was an average plate. The place didn't look clean, very small, no room to sit comfortably. To top it all up, this restaurant doesn't have a restroom, so we had to go to another restaurant (pho place nearby) to use the restroom. So, if you are going with your family to spend sometime, please don't go to this place. Also, considering all these things, the food is a priced comparable to all the other good Mexican places I have seen. read more

After a workout, I was CRAVING some tacos. Hit up El Sabor and it definitely got me filled up with all their goodness. LA is my hometown, and if there is anything I miss it is some real fuego tacos. The pozole hit the spot and they were extremely generous with the portions of fatty cartilage meat that went in there. They also included a small dish of extra chili flakes, oregano, and lime to give it that ZING otherwise you can just eat it as is. I like that Zing though. Wouldn't have it any other way. The tacos, I went for the Lengua (tongue) and Tripa (Tripe) extra crispy. The Tripa tacos were made crispy and were just MM MM good. The Lengua was tender and just what I was looking for. There is a full salsa bar with all the variations of salsa you need to accommodate your needs. Will be coming back again. Thank you for the clean restaurant and EXCELLENT service. The meat was on the tougher side which I thought wasn't freshly cooked. They could've have stayed generous with the onions and cilantro as well. Husband ordered the Birria soup. It's beef in red sauce. The meat was very dry and did not give enough soup. The bowl is also a little smaller than what we are accustomed to in the past. Their prices have gone up but the quality I think has gone towards south. I don't think we'll be returning. Yo make things more unpleasant, I love my Horchata and again, I was disappointed. I realized that it wasn't fresh either. You know when rice spoil? It had that taste and smell to it. I think they should check their beverages every now and then to monitor its freshness and taste. This is my favorite taqueria in the area, I go here at least once per week. Their tripas mulitas and tacos are my favorite in the area, and I've eaten every where in the western Washington region. Remember to ask for the grilled onion and jalapeños when ordering. When you get your order you have a wide range of sauces, pickled carrots, radishes, and limes to choose from. I recommend getting the pickled carrots. But beyond their delicious food and home made horchata, they are great members of the community. Aurora gets a bad rap, but there are a lot of great spots like these that really gives back to the community. On many different occasions, I've walked in and have seen the employees help Spanish speaking people with paperwork, or feeding a homeless hispanic man and making sure he's okay, or just making sure a mom and her three sons have everything they need. Nice place to get freshly made Mexican food at a good place. They have an extensive menu of different types of food. Greeted warmly by the woman at the counter . You can see in the back to the kitchen, which looked clean and organized. Spanish sports channel playing pretty loud. The channel was later switched to music, which had the cooks in the back singing along, a cute experience to hear. Hard to choose what sounds best. Enchiladas looked wonderful. I love arroz de pollo. They have my favorite Camerones de Ajo. Carnitas and lengua are offered, as is cabeza, all things that I wanted to try. I ended up getting caldo de res, a big bowl of a beef vegetable soup. The soup had a mixture of cabbage, carrots, celery, corn, beef, potatoes and squash. It came with a side of onions mixed with cilantro and hot tortillas. You order at the counter and they bring your order out to you. They have a salsa bar, if you want any add ons to spice up your meal. I was checked in to see if I needed anything after getting my soup. The soup was great, tender beef and a beefy broth. You bus your own dishes and every customer was thanked when you left. While this has a fast food feel to the furniture, the whole experience was a positive one. Will come back and try those unfamiliar items, heard they are really good. read more
