I love Anitas. Food is always on point and delicious. Service is so awesome. They are super nice.

Today I played another game of "drive up Aurora Ave until you see a Mexican food truck that you've never been to before". I caught Anita's shimmering food truck in my periphery as I was driving past, and I knew it was time to stop. They have an extensive menu (tortas, burritos, tacos, soups, and more) with what seems to be over 20 meat options. How do they have this many meat options? Where are they preparing all of it? My mom once told me not to ask questions that I don't want the answer to, so I'm just going to leave that here. After sweating out the menu for a bit, I elected for the carnitas burrito (carnitarito) and added avocado inside. Interestingly enough, they don't seem to have guacamole here. Anyone who eats with me knows that I'm not big on avocado slices, but they do a solid job of mashing it up here anyways. This meat vessel was the ideal size. It was hefty, but held everything in perfectly, which is an essential trait for food trucks. For far too long, the burrito-verse has been crowded with: 1) burritos that are too small, or, 2) burritos that are massive, but are falling apart / dripping. Neither of those will do when you're eating a burrito on the move. I just got a new car (big time brag), so I'm not gonna eat a burrito in it anyways, but if I chose to do so it would be a rito from Anita's. The burrito itself had awesome flavor. It's really simple in its makeup, but the carnitas had big, bold, taste and were expert-level juicy. My favorite part was how generous they were with their salsas. All-too-often a burrito joint will only give you one, maybe two sauces. Anita hooked it up with 3. The sauce play was unparalleled. I was dipping. I was mixing and matching. I was combining flavor profiles and colors. A high quality burrito experience, no doubt. Anita's also has an enticing breakfast menu. It's not too often I'm up on Aurora in the wee hours of the morning, but I'd love to give it a shot. read more

Frist time eating at Anita's. Had a breakfast burrito with bacon. It was plentiful and delicious. I was handed the goods in a bag to go but decided to eat there under the shelter. There was a nice little space heater to help keep me warm on this cool morning. As I was unwrapping the burrito at the table, the server noticed and came out of the truck to bring me a paper container to help me handle the food. Very thoughtful! read more

Confused about majority of reviews on here because the food was highly disappointing. But if you grew up in Washington all your life then that explains a lot. The menu options are high priced We ordered -Menudo -Adobada Torta -Horchata Sauces were watery, they must have added a broth into their batch to increase the quantity; In turn it lost its flavor and purpose. The torta was huge unfortunately it was mostly bread. Missing key ingredients such as refried beans and cheese (queso fresco). I think rather than simmering adobada it should have been fried for a torta. Menudo just tasted like water, very oily, added ingredients of our own to get flavor. The Horchata was good but anyone can make this classic drink in their own home. Not impressed overall. Hope this food truck can improve in the days to come. read more

People were raving about Anita's food truck here on Yelp so I had to check it out. I am a big fan of taco trucks! The wait was a bit longer than expected, but I say a long line is a good sign of something delicious! (Bare in mind it was close to noon your typical lunch time rush.) I was the only one in line in fact that wasn't Mexican, also a good sign. There are few options in this area where I work, so I was happy to find the truck so close. Regarding the food, It was good. Nothing spectacular. My meat was well cooked and seasoned. Tacos were yummy. I give them a 4 out of 5 on food because I just felt like my tacos suffered from an extreme lack of filling. They hardly put but a sprinkle of onion and cilantro on there. I probably could've eaten 6 tacos and that to me is nuts, especially for the price. This truck is definitely one of the more expensive I have dined at. I wish I wouldn't have chosen the spicy chicken tacos, I was swayed by a yelp review and regretted it. They were nothing special. The carne asada was delicious though, just the tacos were too small. And they only provided me with one tiny piece of lime for 4 tacos. (Might have to do with pandemic, but they already have a sign up adding $1 each for beef due to COVID-19.) Who ever claimed that Anita's is better than Tacos Chukis in Capitol Hill is completely daft! But I will not knock Anita's before giving their menu a few more tries. What a gem! In the heart of one of the sketchiest parts of town, this little food truck operation shines, with pride in product and service in evidence everywhere. If you have read my reviews before, you know I like a clean shop. Here there are clean tables and chairs in the comfortable covered seating area. They keep a clean truck, and a peek in the window shows a clean, organized kitchen too. No bad smells, no sticky, fly-infested condiments (they keep theirs in a refrigerator! Why don't more stands do this?) no overflowing garbage cans (in fact, they have recycling and compost options- at a taco truck!). These folks do it right. Today I got the Torta cabeza, a solid pound of sandwich full of goodies; tender, rich cabeza meat (literally "head meat"- think beef cheeks) lettuce, tomato, mayo hot peppers. Just gorgeous! Served carefully wrapped in foil and put into a paper basket, I thought the packaging was overkill until I tucked into it-the bread is more delicate than it looks, and I was barely able to hold the massive sandwich together as I took bite after "mmm" inducing bite. Washed down with a true Mexican cola, I was one happy camper! Yes, the view of cannabis shops, tire stores, pawn shops, no-tell motels, stumbling prostitutes, sauntering drug dealers, twitchy junkies, ambulance sirens from the nearby hospital and crazy traffic on Hwy 99 can be off-putting, but this place is so welcoming and the food so good, it's worth it. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for a new food truck. So, when I saw this one as I was driving down Aurora, I had to stop. For me, it had all the makings of an incredible food truck. Nestled in a dark parking lot on a sketchy part of Aurora that is populated with marijuana shops and prostitutes. Sandwiched between a tire shop and a cheap motel...I mean how much better could it get? All it needed was some gunfire and I would've been reminiscing about the good old days in Oakland, CA. Well, it was alright, but it didn't live up to the location. First off, let me say that the people are really nice. So, I hope they do well. As for the food, it was pretty good. They make their own chorizo, so that is a plus! Since it was my first time, I tried a variety to get a feel for it. The chorizo tacos were alright, but the chorizo could use help with the seasoning. The carnitas taco tasted more like a baked pork roast than carnitas. The grilled chicken taco was pretty good as well, but didn't have that pop. The highlight was the carnitas quesadilla. That was good. Nice and cheesy, and the carnitas in that had real flavor. Overall, all of the tacos were fairly bland, but the quesadilla was tasty! Whoa Nelly! We have found our new favorite Mexican place! I know, I know...Mexican good trucks are a dime a dozen, but Anita's is for real! Both my wife and I had their Wet Burritos....steak for her and spicy pork for me. The make up and preparation of the burritos were there best we've had. The meat, beans, and rice were actually evenly distributed through the flour tortilla. Unlike other places that just seem to dump the ingredients wherever they please. Dripping all over the burrito was a spicy green sauce and cilantro and a wee bit of sour cream. The pork was out of this world! Pulled pork style and wonderfully seasoned. My wife said the steak was very tasty but there were a number of fatty pieces in her burrito, which was a bummer. Other than that, we can't complain about anything! Right around the corner from us, super nice and pleasant employees, great atmosphere, and awesome food makes Anita's our new go to for Mexican food!! read more

Every order looked exactly the same. 95% rice, a few grilled onions and red peppers, and a tiny amount of meat. I had the mole chicken enchiladas. They were fine. The mole was poured on the top of warmed, packaged tortillas rolled and filled with beans and chicken. The beans have a neutralizing effect on the chicken so that I could hardly tell it was there. The mole was good, I just wish there was more of it. There was enough to cover the tortillas. At first glance, this is an unassuming taco truck sandwiched between a Les Schwab and the old Black Angus Motor Inn on Aurora Avenue. If you don't see it right away, look closer because their food is worth a stop. The truck is clean as are the tables and chairs in the covered seating area. We have only gotten takeaway but I can attest to the cleanliness from what I saw on both visits. Our food was made to order both times and both times we were very pleased at our food choices and the cost. My tacos had a good amount of delicious carne asada and my husband enjoyed his tacos with pollo y carnitas. The onions and cilantro were also very fresh on all the tacos! With the weather turned chilly, I want to go back for some hot pozole or some arroz con pollo. I am also curious about the "hot drink" option on their menu. I have been to Anita's Mexican Food for 6-7 times, and I always ordered the Menudo and bring it home to eat with rice. Of course you can also order a side order of rice from them. The cow stomach and other ingredients in the soup are very well cooked. Love it so much. Beef tongue and beef head taco is a must to try! Love Anita's!!! Man the way they set up the seat area with the mini fridge to keep the sauce fresh and cold and not in the open, they sold me on that part. I got two shrimp tacos & two Carnas Asada Tacos, so yummy I even added some onions that had habenero in it and it was just a splendid taste. The meat and shrimp was fresh and tortilla was nice and crispy warm. My BF has the Carnas Asada burrito without beans and it was deliciously fresh! We use to go to the taco truck by Home Depot 'El Camion' there tacos was delicious don't get me wrong but they put there sauce outside on the side the whole day and you could see with the flies around it that it wasn't sanitary. With Anita's I love how they even have a rag and spray to wipe your table. The parking is plenty as it's next to Les Swab tires. The guy was nice he came out to talk to us for a bit. Love how he has a microphone to call your order thought that was cute. Anita's has sold me and I'll be coming here often when I get my taco craving.
