I'm from Texas (born and raised) and finding good "real" Mexican Food is hard to find in the PNW.... until I tried El Camion! My husband had the Mole Enchiladas, I had the 3 HUGE chicken tacos. WOW!!! Excellent on ALL levels and only $41 TOTAL (including tax & 20% tip). This will be a staple "go-to" place when I'm wanting Mex Food. The best Mexican place in Seattle are these little gems of food trucks. You gotta do the Cochinita Pibil. It's the "seasoned" pork and it's absolutely delicious. Adobada has a nice firey heat. The lingua was good too. Portion sizes are big. I like the gorditas, but the los gallos rojos, tacos, tamales- they're all good. If you got time, show up and see what the special on the board is. Don't have time? Put your order in online before you drive out. They get a big line during lunch/dinner, so plan ahead or get a horchata to drink while you wait . Insane value for burritos! I got the El Camino burrito with carne asada and it was massive. I weighed the burrito and it came up to about 2 and a half pounds! I like to share a burrito with my gf and maybe another side. It's massive. Sometimes the carne asada can be dry. Other times, it's done right! Usually pretty quick, but sometimes the lines can get long so we always try to call ahead if we can. They pick up the phone 50% of the time only... but worth it to try so you save some time. When we have been here during COVID, they have been trying their best to have good practices. For example I saw the cashier change gloves after each transaction and before every time before she touches food. The salsa bottles were also gone and it looked like they were prepackaged so you have to ask for them when you grab your order. If you order delivery though, note you will probably not get your salsas. We've only been able to enjoy their salsas when we do take out. Burritos are definitely more expensive than when we first came here but I still think they are one of the top food trucks around. read more

I order a chicken burrito, 'wet' with Chipolete sauce across the top. Dude gives me a beeper, (again, I'm the only one there) It is literally ready in 2 full minutes?! Admittedly, I was like suspicious, because it was just too fast. I get to my dinner destination within just 2-3 min. Burrito is not even slightly warm, it's like cold. They clearly just filled it with pre cooked ingredient's, and sent it out the door. Total let down. Microwave that shit up if you are serving it cold. Edit: OK, holds da phone. One of my favourite local taco trucks! We discovered this place a while ago when coming to our local home depot and now I can't stop coming back! My husband usually orders the Los Gallos Rojos and I usually get an assortment of tacos (2-3 depending on hunger level as they are quite big!). The service is always super quick and the food is really fresh and delish! While we tend to get takeout, it's not a bad spot to sit as the outlook is onto all the beautiful plants at home depot! I am a spice hating baby ....I know, it's very upsetting. My boyfriend brought me to this cute lil food truck near Home Depot on a Saturday morning before our spring plant haul trip. I gotta say, I was very excited to dig into these fish tacos. Check out the photo, they are gorgeous! But...I couldn't take the heat!!! My mouth was on fire for 90% of the meal, so I can't give a truly accurate review, but what I tasted was great. I can handle a little kick, but this was too much. So I have to say the cooks on the meat were on point like 5/5. They were juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately the salsa and guacamole were super disappointing. Not enough seasoning, the guacamole was brown when I got it. And the chips some were kind of stale unfortunately. I got a lengua taco, pollo mole burrito and chips and guacamole. LARGE BURRITOS. The flavor was surprisingly underwhelming for how amazing these burritos look. Pictures look mouth watering, flavorful, and intense so I was shocked when it was just okay. Definitely one of the better food trucks I've tried in the area and I loved the ambiance and that the truck is located in it's own little tucked away area. We ordered two burritos: carne asada and adobada. I had high hopes for the adobada and it looked amazing but it could have used more flavor. The color was beautiful, pork chunks were large and came apart easily; I'd rate it a 4/5. I also thought a pineapple could have really enhanced the flavor. On the the carne asada burrito it was well seasoned but the chunks were a little big, that might just be personal preference but it overpowered each bite. 4/5 on that one too. The salsas were a bit watery. I tried all of them and neither was overly spicy or sweet or exciting so I mixed all of them together. I don't eat the meat so I can't speak to that but their veggie burritos are just stuffed with vegetables that are too large and there's nothing left in the burrito. A month ago I ordered a fish taco and it was so fishy I couldn't eat it. Today I ordered the bean and cheese burrito from DoorDash. It said it came with rice, salsa, sour cream, etc. when I bit into it it was literally just a 10 inch tortilla filled with black beans. No flavor and nothing else in it. I feel like I've given them so many chances but once again I've wasted money and can't stomach this terrible food. I have mixed thoughts here. They have a lot of options, are fast, and cater to different dietary restrictions. That being said, I have had a few experiences that were not the best. This could be my own fault for not going early enough in the day or being there at the wrong time, but they have never had any ceviche left when I am there which is a bummer! Also, I ordered a quesadilla with veggies and found several pieces of chicken in it. As a vegetarian, this really bothered me. I specifically chose a vegetarian option and was upset to see meat in my order even though the menu had it as a meatless option. They charge for all sides, chips + salsa, rice + beans, so I prefer to either go here as a snack or get takeout so I can supply my own chips and salsa. We were craving a burrito and tacos last night, and being new to the area, our neighbor recommended this taco stand. I didn't think too much of it and didn't expect much but let me tell you, these tacos are so good!! I got 4 Carne asadas and very happy with my selection. They're extemely filling and generously filled, so I ended up saving 2 of my tacos as leftovers. The chips & salsa were very good too. El Camion catered my wedding and they were incredible! My husband, his parents, and I went to their restaurant to test out their food before booking and we were blown away! All of the food was fantastic! The beans and rice were well seasons, the meats were so tender and flavorful, it was an automatic yes! We booked them before the pandemic and despite staffing shortages, they made it work and catered our wedding in April 2022. Their food truck had some malfunctions but they brought out tents and buffet equipment and no one knew any different. I still have people telling me how delicious the food was. Their sides are vegan and we chose to have veggie tacos available too so my sister-in-law and her husband (who are vegan) would have plenty to eat as well. We were very impressed with their services! Not THE best, but maybe the best in Seattle. It is so hard to find Mexican food in the Seattle area. I've looked. Most people who are from here can't even identify good Mexican food from Taco Time. El Camino is some of the best I've been able to track down. The burritos are nice and large, lots of options, I recommend the carnitas. I would also recommend the quesadilla. Super cheesy and meaty, good flavor. For dessert, the churros are great, but you might not get the one you ordered. Call ahead for pick up orders so you don't have to wait in the line. read more

I won't say the best Mexican style food I have ever had- but I would say for Seattle it was pretty tasty. The burrito itself was large and the salsas they have are really good (the salsas may have been my favourite part) I had the Chipotle and the Habenero. The ingredients were fresh and yummy. The service was very friendly- sometimes at food trucks, the service is so so-but from the kind gentleman who took my order to the man who gave me my order everyone was very kind and patient. My order came out quickly just a few minutes. If you are allergic to stuff or just a picky eater they can customize your eats to what you need. The only issue I had is that the burrito wasn't wrapped tightly enough so as you were eating it- it did fall apart a bit and made eating it a little more difficult. Generous portions (sometimes overly generous on the portion sizing), definitely price friendly but with a lack of quality control. The tamales are definitely the star, steamed Yucatán style which gives them a sweet flavor. Rice and beans are so/so, canned black beans and white rice sauced. Personally, I find everything being topped in a ton of tomatoes and sour cream/crema a turn off, as it drowns out the food.
