I'll be honest, you were not my first option, or even the second, but my basketball coach once told me that the best ability is availability. If you keep driving on any street going north from Seattle, you will find a taco truck adjacent to a gas station. And they're usually solid - much better than many Mexican restaurants across Seattle. But unfortunately, my burrito here was just a little weak. It has a decent tortilla, and the char on the asada gives it a nice crunch. But other than that, it tasted taco-bell-esque. I think it's just the blend of shredded lettuce and sour cream that gives me that feeling. There just wasn't anything that stood out on this burrito that would make me get it again. However, their tortas look good. I should have gone that direction. I'll give em a try if I ever find myself in the area and the other spots aren't open. read more

The service was great as the lady there was super accommodating and nice. She does prefer to speak Spanish but was still super nice when my bf and I preferred to speak English. There are some benches outside in shade to provide a nice outdoor dining area however it is nothing special but a few wooden benches. I've driven by this place countless times in Greenwood, and seeing the bolden words of Tortas, Tacos, and Gorditas always seemed so tantalizing. But upon finally making a pit stop at this humble truck, I was met with mixed feelings on the quality of the food. One thing I immediately noticed was the uptick in prices, as they have whited-out some of the pre-existing prices and replaced it with elevated fees. That's not a problem, as inflation has hit the best of us, but it's something to note in mind. Onto the food: I ordered a Lengua Gordita an Asada quesadilla. Lengua Gordita: this was a highlight of the two, with the lengua being very flavorful and tender, despite, in my opinion, a lack of quantity of meat for the up-charge in price for lengua. However, the cornmeal dough lacked any flavor whatsoever and was pretty bland. The filling definitely served as the saving grace to this dish. The quesadilla. Oh, the pain. I love quesadillas, but this did not even hold a torch to some others out there. The pro: definitely a healthy and generous serving of guacamole. Plus, I don't know if it's the sauce or the filling itself, but there was this acidic lime flavor that went beautifully with the quesadilla and was pretty prevalent with the meal. The con, which pains me so: the meat was so dry and it was a workout for my jaw to chew the meat. The meat was flavored pretty well, but each slice of quesadilla was overshadowed by dryness of the meat. Also, the quesadilla just looked so paltry and dry in general. What a shame indeed, and I had to put a mountain of guac and sauce on top in order to add some enjoyment to the experience. All in all, sorry to break the chain of positive reviews, but I felt that my experience was subpar, especially for the price you pay. Definitely a friendly crew of people manning the truck, but I'll be heading up the street to La Cabaña for my craving of Latin food. read more

Parking space is limited but easily available when we came. Stick to the tacos here to know what you're getting. Tacos are solid. Burritos seem to be a grab bag of ingredients, specifically the rice. Would not suggest a Torta. The "ham" is actually a split hot dog with a piece of cold cut ham on the sandwich. Seeing things like this don't make me feel like the food is fresh and that they are passing off cheap ingredients for a higher profit margin. I had really high hopes for this place and perhaps they were just too high. I got their Asada Burrito and while it was fair I felt like the ingredients could have been fresher and more flavorful but I felt like they were not. I also got an Asada Taco and reached the same conclusion on it. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing or maybe the quality is uneven because a lot of people seem to really enjoy this place but to me it seemed kind of dull. I like the places where you can order anything and it will be good as opposed to just one single thing. I enjoyed the tacos as well as the customer service. The staff was friendly and light-hearted. The ambience was cute! Even though it's next to a busy area, there is some cover from the elements and flowers and of course the necessities like jalapeño, lime and salsas. I ordered tacos de adobada and they were good. Although I was able to get a little taste of the castaños and I wished I had gotten those instead! Each one has plenty of cilantro and onions, the plate is served with a delicious and hot salsa and a lime. The meat real is prepared well my favorites were the tinga and the pollo, but they were all good. I came in at 2:00 on a Monday and didn't have to wait. I just stopped in the area to go to another taco place, but they were closed. Saw this place across the way and decided to stop. And I am so glad I did! Had 2 Tacos al pastor...and they were delicious! Large chunks of pineapple, lots of flavor and taco was stuffed with meat. I only had their Steak (Carne Asada) taco. They serve it with double tortilla, cilantro, and onion. the taco was delish and the salsa was awesome. they have different salsa so makes sure that you let them know if you want hot or mild because the hot one is absolutely nice and firey (i love hot sauce). The young man at the counter was very nice and the older man who might be the owner was also very courteous. Best Mexican food in the north end - seriously. This taco truck opened last year, a few months after one on 103rd closed. You can find this truck 7 days a week in the parking lot of the 76 station on Greenwood & Holman Rd (which is now also a liquor store - hooray!). What surprised me is the freshness and quality of the food. Each menu item I've tried was incredibly flavorful and crafted with excellence, you can really taste the chilis & spices used and even the carne asada, which is often tough and dry at other taco trucks, here is absolutely tender and delicious. It tastes like someone really, really cares. It seems to be run by just one very hard-working man who always calls you "amigo". A great experience, I recommend this truck to all. read more

Place is fucking lit fam! Is that right? Am I saying that right? So yeah this is the best Mexican street food I've had in Seattle. I'm from LA home of the best Mexican food in the country and this place would fit in just fine. I'll let you in on a little secret...any place that doesn't have cabeza, lengua, or al pastor probably isn't worth your time. Luckily this place knows what's up and has all of that plus chicken tinga which is particularly delicious here. I also got a very generous bag full of salsa in the little containers and line for my tacos. Little extras like that can be what make truck or stand so nice to visit. They do the same thing at all of the little taquerias in Southern California so I was pleasantly surprised. The guy in the truck was really nice and served me with a smile. Considering how much I ordered he made it fast! So do you get it now? This place is a hidden gem. Don't be turned off by the fact that it's near the bum and meth head infested gas station. Our favorite. They are so nice! It's easy to mess up a simple thing like rice and beans but really hard to perfect it. They are perfect. I always get their tacos and they are some of the best in the city. Meat is cooked to perfection with great flavor. Also their hot sauce (green or red) is homemade and I can literally drink it from the container it's that good. My husband had the Torta special once and it was insane. It had chicken, thin ham, pineapple, a hot dog! and the bread was really soft and held up to all those ingredients. Good hangover item!
