They both continued just to chit chat the gentleman with the knife was done and they were just chatting on the bakery side. Another gentleman came out from the back deli side and I asked him if someone could help the one deli guy working cause the customer he was helping had a big order and he said no the other deli person was on lunch and those two guys were for the bakery. What?? Are you kidding me Raleys doesn't cross train the bakery people to help out deli ??????? It was a tall European person and a short guy with piercing on his nose. Waited for over 10 mins for sliced meat when they stood there and just chatted away. Terrible service !!

Several of the aisles were bare and we noticed that they raised the price of some of their goods. The new pricing may be to help them pay for the cost of the remodel - but, why remodel only to raise the prices and make it difficult for customers to navigate the aisles? Even the staff have trouble pointing out where the things are when asked. This is especially hard to grasp when our economy is at its worse times for the past several years. We're going to have to tighten our belts even more... and find a new grocery store to shop at. Sad!

I do not necessarily buy gas here because it's expensive (and rightly so, it's one of your only options - Crane Flat is another option, and that's not going to be cheaper). Given the influx of visitors from all around the world, staff is always polite and helpful. Lines can be very short or very long depending on who else has pulled up.

We went inside the market and bought several sticks of exotic jerky ($2 each) then a bag of $5 oranges. We passed on the avocados since they are really cheap near home at the Concord Produce Market, and these were still a little hard, but that's a great deal!! We bought the oranges outside at the same stand the avocados were being sold at. They also had honey, and we sampled a honey from avocado flowers and also from oranges! Bought a few delicious honey sticks (3/$1) and got back on the road for our weekend at the Lake!

I agree with another review that some of the fruits were past their prime, but I don't think that takes away from the charm of this fruit stand. As someone who doesn't usually carry cash, the only downside for me is the cash-only nature of the business. However, I might be spoiled by my local farmer's market accepting Tap & Pay and Venmo. We would have spent more, but the rude lady at the bakery was cleaning and didn't acknowledge any of us or even look up. We gave up on buying anything sweet after standing there trying to get her attention for 10 minutes since apparently they only clean floors here and don't actually help customers. This same lady put her hoodie on and left and ended up right in front of us in Amanda's line checking out. These two conversed then we walked up. We said hello, no response. She kept her head down the entire time and refused to make eye contact or acknowledge us. That's fine. We paid for our items, but looked back and an older non brown lady walked up and she was greeted and treated with decency. This Amanda is probably the rudest cashier I've come across and we have Walmarts in our town. Lol IYKYK She is the reason this store should have self checkout. Next time in Yosemite or Mariposa, we won't be giving this store anymore of our hard earned money.
