Stopped in on the way home from the FlyAway. Only two other tables were filled. It has a cute party vibe with lots of lights, piñatas, and bright colors. We sat at a booth. The chips, salsa, and bean dip were absolutely delicious! A bit of kick to the salsa. I had a crispy shredded beef taco that came with a side of salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. The meat was flavored so nicely and the guacamole was fresh! I absolutely loved it! My son had the Supreme wet burrito with cheese melted on top. He also loved his! Went for the Sunday brunch. Sat at the bar. The bonus is the bar has nice wide bar stools with back support. My friend and I both commented that they cooked the bacon perfectly. Lots of delicious items on the buffet. However, their carnitas stole the show for me. I loved it. The mariachis were entertaining and even took my request so I was happy as a clam. They were a lot of fun and very friendly. The staff at the restaurant is very friendly as well. Great customer service to boot. Highly recommend going if you want good food in a nice chill environment and don't want to try to talk over the mariachis. read more

The worst Mexican food you can eat. Rice had no taste and it was really dry, even refried beans were dry which I do t know how they would manage that, same with the scrambled eggs. And let's not talk about enchiladas, they were not only dry most of it but I do t know what cheese and sauce they used it was disgustingly. This is a sad review for me as I have been eating at this restaurant for 55+years . The remodeling of the restaurant is very nice,everything is bright and clean and very inviting , love the colors of the booths and the covers on the chairs. We have been here three times since the new owners and each time wasn't a good dining experience. The chips and dip are still good but they change the bean dip, it's ok. Every time we ordered food it seems to take forever to arrive and it's always cold or lukewarm it's almost like the food is being microwaved . The food does have good flavor it just needs to be hot. Service is sporadic, it's like they take a break every 15 minutes and there were only two tables to serve. The house Cadillac margaritas are tasty but a little bit pricey . So with a heavy heart we probably won't be coming back and that makes me sad. read more

The food took ages to get to us and all we ordered was esquite (corn) and a quesabirria (both on the appetizer side). We were originally talking about coming back because the vibe felt nice, even though empty, but after waiting an hour we finally received our food. Unfortunately the cheese on the esquite was bad and the server was trying to convince us it wasn't. I'm mexican and love esquite, I know how it should taste. The quesabirria was not bad but not worth waiting an hour for. I think it has potential, just not a great experience for us. read more

I don't know about this place I said. I'm going to take a quick peek at Yelp to see the latest goings on.... It looked good enough so off we went. It was nice in there. The wife said it looks cute. Our waiter was nice. Good warm chips, fresh salsa and bean dip hit the table next. Nice Mexican music is playing. Just a few people there. Since this was our first time I decide to just go for it and order the three item combo. Crispy Beef taco, Cheese enchilada, Chile relleno, rice and beans. Only $13.99! Woo hoo! The Queen of Reseda did a two item combo, Chicken taco, Cheese enchilada. First off, the tortilla chips, salsa, and bean dip are all great. When the food comes out I'm impressed. Not Foo Foo Mexican food. Good classic old school Mexican food and everything was delicious. The Beef taco was crispy with tons of prefect shredded beef. It was served hot and we had a great lunch. I met my friend at the Tortilla Inn on Parthenia in Northridge for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant has been open since 1959. The area it's in is kinda weird, a combination of industrial and business.. But once inside, the restaurant is really cute and cozy. I liked the lively music that they played. The menu is really big and has every type of Mexican food you can think of. They give you a basket of really good chips, salsa, and bean dip when you sit down. I enjoyed that a lot.. the service was really nice and efficient. I ended up ordering the Botana de Mariscos. What a fantastic dish! It was chock full of seafood, including shrimp, octopus,abalone ,fillet, and imitation crab in a garlic sauce. It was absolutely delicious! It came with a nice Spanish rice and a salad. The only thing that was missing was tortillas and I was able to order a few. My friend got the surf and turf quesadilla. She was really happy with it. I'm looking forward to coming back and ordering other things on the menu. They had a nice bar with some interesting looking drinks and they also had karaoke after 8 PM. read more

Such a bummer! The worst offense of restaurants is when their Instagram & pictures looks fire, but the real life experience is sad!!! We came here for Cinco Di Mayo & just missed happy hour (3-6pm). No biggie we still came to DRINK! From the gate....it took 45mins just to get our 1st round of margaritas. No waters, just bland chips, salsa that tasted like clamato & a small shot cup of bean dip for 4 people. House margaritas had zero liquor in them. Straight mix! Mango margarita was so pretty, the fruit on top was the best. But if I wanted a cup of mango juice I would have ordered mango juice. All mix in their margs. Sat for another 30mins until we had to walk up to the bar ourselves and order a round of shots for our table since our server never came back to ask us if we needed anything. She brings the shots to our table and takes our food order. We are now at almost 2 hours in, we finally get our food and order another round. We knew how long it took to get our 1st round so we each ordered 2 drinks each so we wouldn't have to wait 30mins between visits. -Surf & Turf Quesadilla was decent, a little bland. Semi Gross salsa again. Not much flavor tho overall but it looks so delicious. -MISS me on the rice and beans. Totally flavorless, rice was weird. (How do you not have good rice & beans at a Mexican spot) -Asad Tacos Dorados were good. Still lacking a bit of spice and that punch of flavor but not AS bland as the other items -Mini Manga Burritos had egg in them which was a little weird, kind of soggy. Overall the 2 stars is for the TERRIBLE & neglectful service Bland whatever food that looks awesome, and photographs beautifully but was a total let down in taste 3 rounds of margaritas and no buzz....somethings wrong here I wanted so much to love this place but yeah, stick to admiring on Instagram it's not the real life experience youde hope for. I used to come here before they changed owners and it was always good food and vibes. However, I am glad to see they have an brunch with unlimited mimosas! Came with my family and grandmother loved the mariachis. I sat towards the back on the restaurant and I wish they had a bit more light but overall it was a good experience.
