Hands down best macho burrito with chicken IMO. It's the only item I ever order here because it's the absolute BEST! Love this little hole in the wall - incredible salsa and their chili Colorado is to die for.

Very friendly service and quick too. Our booth was clean and well equipped. I got vegetarian enchilada Suiza. And they put a spinach and fajita veg mix inside, broiled cheese on top of this and the beans. So good! I'm not a big fan of the rice, although my family likes it. We were staying at a place in Fall City for the night, and the weather moved in with a pretty snowy mess over the area. Calling around to a number of the local eateries, we found that most weren't open in that weather. Calling El Caporal, a friendly voice informed us they too would be closing a bit early, but were happy to wait for us to join them first. Naturally, we hurried on down. What a fantastic experience; the staff treated us like valued guests, and made some great recommendations from the kitchen. I decided on the Pollo Asado; my partner ordered the Fajita Burrito. Both were delicious, and were very generous portions, as well! The place was very warm & inviting, and very festively decorated. For us, there was plenty of parking on an evening like this, but even on a busy night, there is still plenty of spaces available. We'll definitely stop in on our next trip through! read more

Honestly a pretty mediocre experience. I came with a big group and we were seated quite quickly, which was one of the nice parts. I ordered a beef taco and side salad since I didn't want a full meal. The beef taco was fine, actually pretty good for what it was. However, I was super disappointed by the salad. It was $5 and literally just a pile of of lettuce with some tomatoes, nothing else. If I had known that was what it was, I definitely would not have gotten it. Nonetheless, the interior is quite nice and they were friendly. I just probably would not come back. read more

Apparently I had a different experience than most other reviewers. Service was slow. 2 tables who got there after us were served before and tended to more. I couldn't even call my drink a margarita... extremely sweet and I'm convinced there was no tequila. Costco pre-mix is better than their Cadillac margarita. I had steak and shrimp which was good but portions are small. Based on the other reviews I was expecting a better experience. Stopped out here after floating the river. Very traditional Mexican restaurant fell and the staff was nice. The place was packed and we got the last table available. The service was quick. They didn't say too much but the water was always full and the food came out pretty quick considering how busy they were. I got the El Caporal Especial. I ask for Medium Rare but then ended up giving me medium well. I was starving and just ate it but I feel it would have been more enjoyable if it was how I requested it. The food itself was really good and I went with about a party of 10 and they were all happy with their food as well. Wow! I'm new to Fall City and this was my first chance to check out El Caporal (things went into lockdown right about when I got here). I was hungry for a burrito and looked these guys up to support local (I go past the place all the time when I'm out for a morning run). I called in an order for a steak Macho Burrito (not realizing how big this would be). I rode my bike to town to pickup with a Fannie pack ... LOL! Luckily I was able to hook a bag on my handlebars. We were lucky to find this restaurant and didn't have a clue what to expect, but we were served quickly with homemade chips and salsa - both were excellent. That was followed quickly by my wife's chile verde, which she loved and my chicken enchilada and pork tamale - which was the best I've had in years. The masa was creamy - the pork was seasoned very well and the sauce on the tamale sealed the deal. It was delicious! The beans and rice were the perfect complement to the meal. Seems to be a family run business. I can tell from the salsa if the food is going to be good and this is one of the best salsas I've eaten. I want to bring it home with me. The food is served hot and the people are friendly. The ambiance is average but the food is well worth the drive. I really enjoyed the chili Colorado. The firs time I went I had a combo plate and ordered beef. I got ground beef in everything. It was tasty, I just need to remember to ask for shredded or cubed next time. Food isn't amazing but isn't bad. What's absolutely terrible is their website and customer service. Went online to look at the menu and called to order based off the website pricing. What should have been a $45 order ended up being $94 and when I asked what the issues was when I picked it up the owner said "sorry our website pricing is way out of date and has been for a long time" and admitted he won't be changing it anytime soon. Had lunch here with my family last weekend and the mole sauce (had the lunch Pollo en Mole with a fresh and delicious side of pico de gallo) was the absolute best I've had. My brother raved about his hard shell taco even though he doesn't normally like hard shell tacos, and everyone else was happy with their meals too. Most sit-down restaurants you expect to take awhile but the service was incredibly fast. Definitely a great place to eat if you're in or near Fall City! read more

We ordered take out for the first time today, it was wonderful! I had the beef and bean burrito and my husband had the chorizo burrito. Their chips and salsa were great. And the margaritas were also great! Everything was well packed and nice and warm when we got home! We can't wait until everything opens back up for good so we can eat in. I have lived in fall city my whole life and this place is my favorite restaurant within the valley. Other than ixtapa in DUVALL! The owner José is fairly close friends with my dad and I and he's always a delight to have as a waiter. The place is definitely old but doesn't seem that way. It's well kept for their budget and the place has DELICIOUS food. Every time I am beyond satisfied. I can't explain how good this food is until you try it! Head over to Issaquah, near Jack in the Box, and you'll find a wonderful authentic Mexican place, or Taco Riconstituo in Bellevue (next to Wembley's Burgers) which is 5 stars all the way, or even the new place in downtown Snoqualmie which is very authentic and interesting. read more

Rating remains the same. It's basic Americanized Mexican food. A generous helping of chips and a zesty salsa started things off (we brought the leftover salsa home to enjoy). I had my usual which is a combo: beef taco, chicken enchilada, tamale, rice, and beans. All average as expected. My wife ordered the evening special: arroz con camarones (rice with shrimp). A generous serving but too soupy for her tastes. We brought that home so I can remake it and then it will probably feed both of us. Service was good and attentive. The facility is old but clean. The booth was a bit snug for us. It was a bit noisy as the folks in the next booth had loud voices. This is a basic inexpensive place to dine. Food is good, but I can name three better Tex-Mex places in towns near by. I do think they are over priced, but they have no competitors in town, so it's to be expected.
