    Across the street, Snoqualmie River

On a leisurely drive through eastern King County, Snoqualmie Falls on a rainy day found myself in Fall City and hungry. Decided to try this Mexican place. I found it good but not exceptional. Food was not as flavorful as places I frequent in Seattle. Service was very good and place is small but comfortable.

Delicious food, friendly people, and large portions. I got a shredded chicken tostada and a glass of sangria. My husband had an asada burrito (wet). Their chips & salsa are fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend El Caporal!

We got the Tres Amigos Platter & Tacos Al Pastor during lunch time-- everything was so delicious! Food was fresh & in amazing portions. Everyone there was super welcoming and friendly, with the atmosphere being really fun to be in! Definitely will be coming again! Great hidden gem.

We were staying at a place in Fall City for the night, and the weather moved in with a pretty snowy mess over the area. Calling around to a number of the local eateries, we found that most weren't open in that weather. Calling El Caporal, a friendly voice informed us they too would be closing a bit early, but were happy to wait for us to join them first. Naturally, we hurried on down. What a fantastic experience; the staff treated us like valued guests, and made some great recommendations from the kitchen. I decided on the Pollo Asado; my partner ordered the Fajita Burrito. Both were delicious, and were very generous portions, as well! The place was very warm & inviting, and very festively decorated. For us, there was plenty of parking on an evening like this, but even on a busy night, there is still plenty of spaces available. We'll definitely stop in on our next trip through!

Honestly a pretty mediocre experience. I came with a big group and we were seated quite quickly, which was one of the nice parts. I ordered a beef taco and side salad since I didn't want a full meal. The beef taco was fine, actually pretty good for what it was. However, I was super disappointed by the salad. It was $5 and literally just a pile of of lettuce with some tomatoes, nothing else. If I had known that was what it was, I definitely would not have gotten it. Nonetheless, the interior is quite nice and they were friendly. I just probably would not come back.

    Delicious burrito & huge burrito.

If you're in Washington this place is a must! It's the best authentic Mexican food place in the state. Phenomenal customer service and delicious food. This is a place I'll be visiting every time I am in town.

Stopped here after a long day and was so happy to find an authentic Mexican restaurant. The chips and salsa were so good, can't beat warm tortilla chips. Had a prickly pear margarita, which was extremely refreshing; not too sweet. The chili verde was delicious. I wanted to eat the whole plate but there was too much food! I definitely recommend this place.

People speak about bland food and just general disappointment. My concern being a Mexican food lover is I have never heard anyone mention this place, which just lead me to believe it's a solid local spot, but not a destination location. No one appears like the ground beef. No many Mexican places even do ground beef anymore, but guess what, ground beef is my favorite, but based on reviews it should be avoided here, so I did so. I went with Carnitas and can tell you it wasn't the worst, but I had had much better. I like a juicy burrito. Yes, they get messy to hold, but worst-case scenario, you get a knife and fork and dig in. You may ask what a juicy burrito is and I'll explain. It's a burrito with either the juice of bean broth, or very moist rice or meat. Unfortunately, nothing here was moist. Also, the burrito had lettuce in it. That's nota burrito, it's a soft taco. A burrito is protein, beans, rice, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. In this case sour cream and guacamole was extra. The people here were friendly, the pricing was fair and the portion was reasonable, I just didn't find the food satisfying. This place is better than fast food and the average truck, but I'm sure every major city in America serves a burrito better than this. I encountered several people working here that struggled with English, which tells me they have to be deep in the culture, but these are not the recipes of true southern Mexicans. I wouldn't tell you to avoid this place, but I also can't recommend them. We drove 30 miles to get here and it was anything but worth the drive.

Microwave food we just spent $146 on. It was a fast cook and fast delivery - ordered at 5:05pm and delivered at 5:30pm (we live close and I watched the driver come straight to us). It should have at least been lukewarm, so I'm not sure what happened there. Worst part is, when I called and spoke with the manager on duty to ask about the missing item and mention the cold food, she was defensive and flippant, placing blame on the driver immediately while simultaneously talking down to me (re: the cold food), 'well that happens with delivery. We have no control over the driver'. As if I've never had food delivered. She said to take up the charge for the missing item with Uber Eats - 'That's how it works. There's nothing we can do'. Not even a sincere apology for the undelivered item- Masa's mistake. We have frequented Masa since they opened, with mostly good experiences, but I think we're done. There's just no excuse to be rude and dismissive to your paying customers. A little decorum could have gone a long way. 2 stars for the two out of six items that arrived as expected.

We've eaten here dozens of times -- easily -- and have never left disappointed. The carne asada is consistently fantastic, and their more traditional dishes are just as solid. Service is reliably friendly, efficient, and refreshingly genuine -- the kind of staff that actually seems to enjoy being there. The one miss? The margaritas. I've worked my way through every flavor, and unfortunately the base tastes suspiciously like Safeway syrup. For a place that does food this well, the cocktails feel like an afterthought. They do have a beautiful patio that's perfect when the weather cooperates, and if you're a nacho-and-cocktail type (same), I strongly recommend ordering a mojito with fresh fruit. Be sure to ask for muddled fruit slices -- otherwise you'll likely get syrup again. It honestly takes just a few cubes of real fruit to completely elevate the drink, and at these prices, it feels like an obvious upgrade management should consider standard-which is why I docked them one star.

Our waitress (who did not give her name) was not very friendly or attentive. She even interrupted and skipped my family member as they were beginning to order and asked someone else for their order next. It made no sense and was strange. On top of that she just kind of gave a "I don't want to be here and I'm annoyed" vibe. After we got our bill we noticed that some of the charges were incorrect. A kids meal order was rung up wrong, charging extra money for meat even though it was included, and a kids drink was charged as an adult. We kindly tried to explain that she charged us incorrectly and if she could please fix it. She started explaining that we had ordered the kids burrito not taco, even though we definitely ordered, she definitely inputted, and we were most certainly delivered a kids taco. She then said that we needed to clearly specify that it was a kids lemonade even though it was clearly implied that the lemonade was for a child. I guess that's on us cause we didn't say "kids lemonade"? Like come on... She was not kind or helpful about the issue at all and refused to fix the bill. We left frustrated and discouraged to go back. Be ware of the bad service if you're looking to dine in.
