The people here are sooo wonderful!! The food is good but the service really makes it. I went twice in the span of a couple of days and everyone working here was just so nice. I had the breakfast burrito the first time and it was MASSIVE and tasty. They have really good salsas, too. The second time I didn't want something so large so I got breakfast tacos and they were tasty too. I got the carnitas, al pastor, and taco meat for them. Tbh the Al pastor did not really taste like Al pastor to me but tasted good nonetheless. Nice neighborhood spot! read more

Rio bravito is an amazing restaurant with many traditional Mexican food options. My family is Mexican and all of them love the food. The service is nice and friendly and should only take 5-15 minutes for good to be ready and served. The restaurant has nice decorations with a tv and many seating options and also normally having Mexican style music. Y'all have heard of breakfast burritos but I love the breakfast tacos. Now Rio Bravito makes breakfast burritos and they look tasty. My go to is the breakfast taco. Tonight I had two Al Pastor and one steak. Sooo Good. It was a beautiful but chilly day. Just didn't feel like making dinner and thought Rio Bravito my belly is so glad we did. Overall, fairly tasty, plenty of melted cheesiness, a little too much rice, a little skimpy on beans, and definitely needed more Al pastor meat, especially for the price. Meat was almost non existent, when it needed much more. A quick meal between meetings, my coworkers carne asada tacos, also a bit skimpy on the meat. As the only Mexican restaurant on the Ridge, it represents that cuisine very well. It's not much of a sit down experience, but there is ample seating if that is your jam. They are fast, friendly and reasonably priced. We like to grab it to go and head over to No Boat when we're not a fan of the food truck for the day. AMAZING! We have a lot of family in Albuquerque and we were driving to Snoqualmie Falls one day and we spotted the zias on the side of the building and were like "What is this place?!" Unfortunately they were getting close to closing but I took their business card and said I would be back - a week later we came back from Cap Hill in Seattle and it was well worth the drive. Being originally from CA, we are very picky with our Mexican food and most places in the PNW leave us disappointed...some spots are 'fine' but most just leave us wishing the restaurant had more...more flavor, more spice. The food actually has spice which is hard to find in Mexican/New Mexico style restaurants in the PNW. We always want the food hotter/spicier! The friendly cashier took our order as we were excited to try food that was supposed to taste like it was made by my in-laws back in New Mexico and the place did not disappoint. My husband had the carne asada enchiladas with the fuego sauce (and he added a fried egg on it), I had the huevos rancheros (Christmas style, with the fuego sauce added) and boy oh boy did these plates pack heat! The beans had so much flavor, the rice was good and the chile sauce was absolutely amazing. 2 hours later my insides are still burning from the spice but it was soooooo sooooo good. Literally felt like I was eating a plate of home cooking from my mother in law. The ambiance was absolutely great, we felt like we were in ABQ with the decor; kokopelli and zias everywhere and cute table settings. We also ordered the sopes and they were so good too (pastor and carnitas sopes). We will ABSOLUTELY be back as this is well worth the drive from Seattle. read more

Trying to find some quick and affordable food after a day of skiing at Snoqualmie and this spot came up. Let me begin by saying, I will definitely be visiting again! All day "breakfast" menu that includes a breakfast burrito (why are these so hard to find in Seattle?!). Vegetarian options on the menu as well. Plates come out HOT. This food is fresh! What more could you ask for? Their menu flaunts a couple of weekly specials like Tamales and Chile Relleno Friday. But you'll find burritos, enchiladas, salads, tacos, and even some authentic menudo. Be sure to give this place a go. After spending too much money at Snoqualmie it was a great bang for our buck and we are walking away with leftovers. read more

We are having a girlfriend outing and dropped in for beverages and snack mid-afternoon. We had chicken nachos and they were delicious. They were a great size for sharing with generous toppings including tomato's, beans, olives, cheese, guacamole and sour cream - we had the jalapeños on the side. The chicken was shredded and well seasoned. The margaritas are shaken, and the rim was garnished. This is a casual family restaurant where you order at the counter. What a win for Snoqualmie Valley! I had a meeting in the area, so decided to check out Rio Bravito, which was nearby. As soon as I walked in I was warmly greeted by the employee who was happy to make recommendations for this first-timer. With his recommendation, I ordered the Sopes with pork and the Bean Dip. I took a seat and didn't know that they actually bring you your food to your table, which was a nice surprise. They are very hospitable here. When I received my sopes, the employee also brought three bottles of different salsas and explained how spicy each was. I enjoyed my lunch! The sopes weren't something I've had before, but can see why it's popular. The corn base that the meat and toppings are on is placed on a thick tortilla, not like a taco or tostada. It was good and would recommend trying if you've had a sope before. The spicy pork that I chose with my sope was good, and liked that it came with shredded lettuce and sour cream. The different salsas helped bring out the flavor, and would recommend trying the spiciest salsa. The bean dip was solid and there was a large portion of it. I had to take most home, which actually made for a bomb leftover lunch the next day, with its melted cheese once reheated! Chips that came with were lackluster, as the texture was too soft on some of the chips, so didn't have that crunch you'd expect from chips. I learned that Rio Bravito is an eatery that serves New Mexican cuisine, which I'm not familiar with, so it was especially nice to have lunch here. When I was dining in I noticed that the employees recognized a lot of repeat customers and overheard that they recently went through a renovation of this space. If on Snoqualmie Ridge, I definitely recommend trying Rio Bravito. It's a welcoming eatery with the friendliest staff and New Mexican eats worth exploring. read more

The food here is awesome, but the service is truly so special. Everyone working here is so sweet and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure you enjoy their food. Mexican food is incredibly messy with a toddler. I have to be very sneaky when I clean up because the woman that works here always tries to stop me. I have eaten here several times as I live in the community. Last time I went there they added lettuce to my burrito for no apparent reason. Then when I picked up and asked for a extra thimble sized portion of sauce after 2 years they want to charge for it now. I don't mind if they charge but there should at least be a heads up, oh yeah, sure you can have an extra sauce but please know we started charging for these so next time it will be $xx amount. This is my go to place after a hike in the cascades. They have a great array of options for everyone in your group and service is friendly and quick. I usually get the taco plate with chicken and it's nice and mild (just how I like it). We've also had the chilaquiles burrito and regular burrito with al pastor and they're excellent as well. Ahhh the nacho plate. It's huge and really good. Corn chips, your choice of meat, beans, lettuce, tomato, olives, plenty of cheese, guacamole and cream baked until it all is warm and the flavors melt together. It's a lot of food.
