We all reviewed the Restaurant Week menu, but we ultimately ordered from the everyday menu. I ordered the Steak and Chicken lunch Fajita (with no peppers or onions, served with black beans and rice), it was absolutely delicious. However, the service was a bit slow, particularly since the restaurant did not appear to be very busy at the time. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and will certainly return the next time I am in downtown Norfolk perhaps for Happy Hour.

The breast of chicken was moist throughout, not dry. The penne pasta with the Romesco Cream Sauce was very creamy and delicious says my better half. I tried the Fried Catfish. A bed of creamy Grits; then some Braised Collards stewed perfectly with a surprise - pieces of Ham Hock meat imbedded - on top of the Grits; then on the very top a perfectly fried huge piece of Catfish filet with Key Lime Remoulade sauce on the side. A pretty presentation. If you like Catfish, this is a wonderful entrée. It still amazes me how the food I grew up on as a son of the South - except for the remoulade - is now haute cuisine. I am not sure if it was the added bacon that caused the saltiness. The calamari was also very salty to me. And for a higher end seafood restaurant, I didn't expect these tiny pieces. I ordered the seafood jambalaya without the sausage for my entree. The flavor was good, but it was WAY too spicy for me. My nose was literally running. I ate the shrimp out of it, and that was it. I will say all of our food came out pretty quickly while still being hot and fresh. And overall, Kendra turned out to be a decent waitress. I think this place could be OK for a date night or intimate celebration. It has a nice ambiance with dim lighting and nice decor. They have both an upstairs and downstairs area. I would probably try it one more time and choose different items to really be able to say how the food is.
