Just helping the community stay updated on this new dining option. It's wonderful to have diversity in the flavors we're welcoming to Suffolk. Cuban food is so amazing and we can't wait to visit next week once they're open to the public.

I never review a restaurant after just one visit. There are so many factors that take place. Consistency is one of them. As a Chef, I tend to be super critical on how I conduct my own personal reviews. That being said, this place is absolutely worth the stop. The ambiance is spot on..The food is amazing and made with love you can really tell. The wait staffs smiles during service were genuine and infectious. I got a huge sampler platter that I was able to munch on throughout the week. Now as far as the pricing is concerned, I feel that they aren't charging enough. So there's that. Take advantage of this culinary gem. The owner, staff and food are well worth the trip. Keep up the great work!

Family owned restaurant with authentic Cuban food & was worth the wait. They are starting up so it's expected to have bumps along the journey. But they are super nice and attentive. Coming from a Cuban family I know good Cuban food when I taste it! The yuca was soft tasteful, ropa vieja seasoned to perfection. The bread pudding was home made & delicious!!!!! Definitely come with an empty stomach & expect to wait patiently as they prepare your fresh dish.

Traditional Cuban food. Cafe con leche was delicious took me back to south Florida. Lechon came with crispy pork skin and wonderful mojo flavor. Rice and beans and yuca on the side.

Bread is extremely hard and dry so is the pork you also do not put lettuce on pan con lechon / or tomato's

The service and the food of this establishment is the worst I have experienced in a long time. It took forever for the food to come out in the first place and than when it did we sat there discusted at the outcome. The waitress was very nice and I know it is not her fault that the food was that bad but for a Cuban restaurant it has no authentic cuban food. I really hope they are able to do better and thrive.

This place was amazing! The first sip of coffee instantly reminded me of watching my grandmother making hers early in the morning in Puerto Rico. Memories of family gatherings flooded me with so much emotion. The staff was quick and so nice. If you want authentic food you must go visit! Don't be scared to try a new place. I met the owner who I wish nothing but success! I will be back with friends and family. Thank you for opening such a beautiful place!

It's a bit of a drive from Virginia Beach but the food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely return and try the dinner buffet.

The food was very salty, over cooked, and our waitress had to be reminded multiple times for any requests we made.

Since it was a Wednesday evening, I figured it shouldn't be busy, but boy was I wrong lol. When we arrived, the wait was almost an hour and we contemplated leaving but thankfully, there were two, open seats at the bar, so my daughter and I decided to grab those seats and dine in. The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go. If I'm ever in the area, I would probably return in hopes for a better dining experience.

I…read moreattempted to visit a few weeks ago for dinner to try their Rotisserie chicken but unfortunately they were sold out so I recently returned again on a Friday during lunch for another attempt. When I entered I was greeted right away and was given a menu and I let them know I would like to place an order to go.  Service was great and the wait staff was very friendly and took my order immediately.  The dining room was very spacious with plenty of tables and they had bar seating available. While I waited for my food I decided to walk over to the bakery that was attached to the restaurant. The bakery sells a bunch of different Colombian/Spanish baked goods, snacks and frozen items. They also had a section setup similar to a gift shop that had purses, hats, clothing and souvenirs that you would mostly find if you were in Columbia which I found to be a nice and unique addition.  I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with coconut rice, fried cassava, and sugar cane juice with lime To-go. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of my meal. My chicken lacked flavor and tasted as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The wing was so dry and dehydrated that it was inedible; only the leg and thigh were moist. Additionally, the coconut rice was significantly undercooked and excessively sweet, to the point that I could not eat it. The fried cassava was served in very large pieces that remained undercooked. The Sugar cane juice was a dark brown color and had a sour taste, suggesting it was not fresh.  Fresh sugarcane juice should be a greenish- yellow color and only turns brown after it oxidizes which changes the quality and is not what I expected.  I have heard great things about this restaurant and hope my experience is not the norm. While I am interested in other menu items, I am currently hesitant about when I might return.

They do include automatic gratuity for groups larger than six, but they were able to do separate checks.
