Finally found my/the taco place north of Bountiful. These are worth it. Birria tacos are excellent. Small portions but tasty. All the flavor you are looking for with meaty broth to dip in. The tortas are superb as well! Guac was good, but I don't think I would get it again. read more

I can't believe we haven't tried El Cenote before today. I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner! We stopped in to grab a couple tacos today after grabbing groceries and we were SO IMPRESSED! We ordered 2 quesa birria, 2 al pastor, 2 carne asada, and one beef empanada. Everything was delicious. The empanada reminded me of the ones I had growing up in Texas and felt just like a comfort food. The tacos were piled high, super flavorful and cooked perfectly. And both salsas were great. I could eat the green one with a spoon. My son had wanted a chicken taco but they had run out. But, while we were waiting for our order they finished making more chicken and threw a chicken taco in for my son. It was so thoughtful. Everyone at the truck was so kind. He devoured the chicken taco as soon as we got home, along with an al pastor, and has not stopped talking about it. He wants to go again tomorrow. 10/10 we will definitely be back. read more

We love supporting local businesses and had driven by this food truck too many times to not stop and try their food. One of my mottos is quality over quantity. And the quality and flavor at El Cenote was top notch. First time here so we tried the Al Pastor, Asada, Chorizo and Quesa Biria tacos. And they were all so good. I would take a 1/2 star off because I thought the tacos, especially the birias were a little on the smaller side to what we've had at other spots and the tacos are a little on the pricier side, $3 a Taco. But again quality over quantity so not affecting their overall grade. The gentleman helping us was very friendly and accommodating, even offered to bring our food to our car when finished as it was a very cold night. All in all a great spot for tacos in west Kaysville, very tasty. read more

When it comes to the tacos/birria in nothern Utah, we struggle a bit. When I tell you I found the best ones north of Salt Lake, I'm not kidding! This food truck has the BEST birria I have had in a long time! Ever since going to Red Tacos in SLC, I've been searching for something similar tasting up north, and these are amazing. So juicy, so flavorful and I could basically drink the birria (I didn't don't worry). Their empanadas are also incredible. Perfectly crunchy and have that amazing home made taste. The family who owns this food truck is so kind and I wish them the most success! They deserve it! My only wish is that they would come to Layton more often! read more

Yes! A food truck nearby that has amazing food. My favorite here is the pollo tacos. So good. Two different sauces that add some spice to the experience. The team that runs the truck is friendly and has a passion for their work. Upbeat and cheerful every time I've come. I absolutely love the Pastor tacos! They are so fresh, full of flavor and absolutely no weird fat chunks like you get at other taco trucks. My other favorite is the chips with pico, soooo addictive!! I love me some quesabirras tacos and was having a hankering this evening. I decided to try out this food truck as I've passed it for years but never eaten there. Unfortunately, I will never be going back. The staff wasn't friendly or helpful at all. But I was mostly disappointed in the food. I got three tiny tacos for $14. Highway robbery. I could have gone to a sit down restaurant and had an entire plate of food with rice and beans for that price. And unfortunately, the tacos were the worst I've ever had. They were soggy, super greasy, really salty, and had cheddar cheese on them. I've never had cheddar cheese on a quesabirras before, and I wasn't a fan. I just finished the tacos and I'm still hungry. I'm very disappointed. There is a taco truck in the parking lot at Smith's in Layton that has much better service, prices, and food. Just go there instead. read more

This place is fantastic! I've only been here once but I will most certainly be back! Quality and quantity. You get both here. I got the Torta Cubans and it was SO GOOD.
