The lighting is low which makes this place cozy and it is never too loud so it is easy to carry a conversations. Through the years I have had Amy or Kerry as my waitress and they both are amazing; I feel like they have become friends, and when I get someone new, I have never been disappointed. I often order the 1/2 pound keg burger and I can't begin to tell you how amazing this burger is. They always cook it to my temperature and it never tastes like it was first frozen. They have a lot of food selections on their menu; mostly bar type food and their beers are always served cold and in a cold glass. They have good selections on draft. My favorite is the IPA Space dust and this is a great IPA that is impossible to find anywhere else. Their prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of parking. This is a popular place and it can get very crowded especially when there is a good game playing. so I often plan when I come. This is what my partner usually gets here and he said that it tastes the same as when he used to come years ago so I think I'm just not a fan of the dish itself. Now what is wings without some fries? It's normal for me to get these two together, so I ended up ordering the cheese fries. Now cheese fries from a Caribbean place is not the norm and I have to say, there's probably a reason for that. On March 9, my husband and I visited Sand Bar, a restaurant we typically go to at least twice a…read moreweek. Unfortunately, this visit was the worst experience we've ever had there. The day before, my husband was at the bar when another customer was being extremely rude and disrespectful to the bartender. Since the manager James did not step in to handle the situation, my husband felt compelled to intervene and escort the individual out to protect the staff. When we returned on March 9, instead of addressing the situation professionally or showing any appreciation, the manager pulled my husband aside and spoke to him in a very disrespectful and confrontational manner. The interaction escalated to the point where we were asked to leave the restaurant entirely. We were shocked by how poorly the situation was handled. A manager should demonstrate professionalism, respect, and the ability to manage difficult situations none of which were shown here. As loyal customers who live just minutes away, this experience was incredibly disappointing. Due to this incident, we will no longer be returning or supporting this establishment.
