Finally lets to get to the drinks. We were charged for two coke zeros - one at $3 and the other at $2.50! And an inka cola a $4!!! That is straight up robbery! Dispicable! My second time coming here, the food is good and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Their drinks are actually really good as well. A great choice if you're craving peruvian food. Let me start off by saying Piruw Grill has GREAT Peruvian food. Haven't had the experience of tasting everything from the menu but I proudly say that the Lomo salteado and the ceviches are fire. Exactly the authenticity of flavor that we were looking for. I'm never Im the Kendal area and my brother suggested Peruvian and discovered thanks to Yelp. We were very satisfied with the service they provided us. The hospitality was phenomenal and the ambiance was perfect for any ocasiones. They passion juice hit perfect. Everything inside the establishment was perfect. Once we exited the restaurant in the parking area I had an uncomfortable encounter with a woman holding a baby by the name of LALA at the evening time of approximately 7:55 pm. She approached me and my little brother while we were leaning on our car as I was smoking my cigarillo and said to me " HELLO ! " I politely responded with a "HELLO" back and she said this is to us : THIS IS MY FAMILY RESTAURANT AND I DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH YOU GUYS HERE SMOKING IM FRONT OF IT BECAUSE I THERES KIDS AROUND." Looking around the shopping center , there was no kids. Only a baby that she was holding in her arms that she came out of her vehicle with. Ive had this type of problem in establishments where the individuals who are in charge of the business egos or positions give them the right to discredit or make one feel less superior than them. I don't know if it's our tattoos, it is my loud affirmative and manner that a carry myself or daggering positive energy that makes these individuals get out of character but definitely it wasn't cool. What a great discovery in Kendall! We love Peruvian food and are always happy when we run across a new place. Fortunately, we decided to give Piruw a shot after driving by and seeing quite a bit of foot traffic in their "to go" window. Service and ambiance were great. Our server explained all of the specials and we appreciated the nice decor. We decided to go with the lunch menu and ordered the Pescado Saltado and Chaufa ( fried rice) with 1/4 chicken. The food was great- nice balance of flavors , moist chicken and decent portion sizes as well. Prices were very reasonable too. All in all, an excellent experience and we will certainly be coming back. It seems like they have a lot orders to go so we will also be trying that out as well. read more

The food was delicious! One of the best Lomos I have ever had. The A lo Macho was also very very good, that sauce it came with was very creamy and not overpowering. Didn't know about this place until someone recommended it, so decided to try it out during lunch. Pleasantly surprised when I walked in, the restaurant is pretty big and very lively decorated. We were quickly seated and attended to once at our table. Complimentary toasted corn nuts along with a semi spicy sauce is brought to the table to munch on while you decide on your order. We focused on the lunch menu options and ordered the Lomo saltado. The plate was big and the meat was cooked perfectly with tomatoes and onions and came with a huge portion of rice and crispy French fries. Hi everyone! Want to start off by wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and/or Hanukkah and a very prosperous New Year filled with good health. So I was running around taking care of some errands today and popped open my trusty Yelp app and had a great recommendation come up.... You guessed it, Piruw Grill. Seeing as I had a serious case of the "hangries" coming on, LOL, I decided to stop by and check it out. Always on the lookout for good Peruvian restaurants as I do like seafood. Anyway, about 5 minutes later I found myself at Piruw Grill. Was greeted at the door with friendly staff that was very accommodating. Restaurant over all is very nice and decorated in Peruvian fair with a twist of Christmas as these are the holidays. I think after what we have all been through with COVID, we all deserve some Christmas cheer. Shortly after being seated I had the pleasure of meeting Mateo , my server, who promptly instructed me on all the daily specials and I am really glad he did. Important to note that the customer service here is excellent and Mateo did a great job. So after a little deliberation I opted for the Leche de Tigre appetizer and the Grilled Octopus with Shrimp main course. All I have to say is three worlds, De, Lish, Us! Leche de Tigre is a cold ceviche like appetizer, very typical in Peru and their rendition had plenty of fish in it which was great. Not spicy at all so don't be concerned about that; however, if you like a little kick (like me) feel free to add in some Peruvian picante sauce. Be careful as it is not what we are used to, so go slow with it. The grilled Octopus as expected was amazing and the presentation excellent as well. You know there are not too many places where you can get octopus these days, let alone a decent portion as well. No need to worry about that here folks. Al portions are very good and I might say good enough to share should you choose to do so but beware as you may end up in a fork fight at the table. LOL! Anyway, as mentioned before ambiance at the restaurant is very, very nice and no issues with parking either as they are located in a mall with plenty to spare. Meal prices are a tad bit on the high side but hey guys for some great seafood and service, I think it is well worth it. Never tried Peruvian food you say, no problem, this would definitely be a good place to break the ice. Consider yourself a connoisseur you say, no problem either as I don't think you will be disappointed. Take the Yelp recommendation plunge like I did and you won't go wrong. Me and my bestie were looking for a new place to try. We decided to decided on this place and were not disappointed. The food was amazing. We picked the churri pulpo and the shrimp risotto and was to die for . Betty our waitress was amazing. And the life music was WOW!!!!! I came here for dinner one night when I was craving ceviche and my plate hit the spot! There is ample seating indoors, and there is a very cute and semi secluded outdoor seating that makes you forget you are sitting on a sidewalk. Service was friendly and despite a shortage of workers they still had a smile on their face the whole night. I ordered the fish ceviche, which was pretty traditional but included some plantain chips which I thought was a nice touch. What I most appreciated was the reasonable price for it, which lately ceviche in Miami has been getting near $20. I ordered a side of yuca frita which has definitely made it at the top of my list for best yuca! My mother ordered the fried fish plate which was very generous, it came with two sides so its safe to say most plates here are sharable. I really enjoyed my dinner and my ceviche, it was exactly what I was looking for. I'll likely be ordering from here again when I am craving ceviche soon. read more

The steak was cooked perfectly and the octopus flavors complimented the steak. A very different take on the traditional surf and turf Peruvian style. The two El Tambo Grills has been in the Kendall neighborhood for years, and this newest outpost is a fancier, full service version. There is some difference in the menu, with plenty to try, and, as expected, a somewhat higher price. Most of the dishes we tried are pretty good, as good as the other locations. We tried the tiradito trio, but honestly we can't really taste the difference among the three flavors. Also, while they do offer rotisserie chicken, I think the other locations, with their large rotisserie chicken and higher volume, turns out fresher, better tasting ones, so I would skip this and order other dishes in future visits. While we have ordered some appetizers and main dishes, all four came to the table at the same time, even though they were clearly ordered for sharing. In fact, the tiradito was the last to arrive, after the chicken and sides. It's okay if we were ordering at the counter with a ticket number, but not unacceptable in a full service. read more
