Review I've been to Peruvian Ceviche y Bar about 4-5 times over the past six months, and honestly, I have yet to order a dish that I didn't absolutely love. The food is consistently outstanding, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is fantastic. A special shoutout to Vanessa, who has waited on us multiple times. She is always knowledgeable about the menu, has great recommendations, and consistently provides excellent service. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure her guests have a great experience. This past Saturday night was another great experience for us. I did notice a situation at the table next to us where the guests seemed unhappy with just about everything. They ultimately returned their food and left. Even the live music, which we were enjoying, was apparently too loud for them, and the staff actually accommodated their request and asked the band to turn it down. Despite the restaurant and Vanessa doing everything they reasonably could to accommodate them, the guests still decided to leave. From what I witnessed, Vanessa and the manager handled the situation professionally and did everything they could to make the guests happy. Sometimes, you realize that no matter how hard a restaurant tries, you simply can't make everyone happy. For us, though, Peruvian Ceviche y Bar continues to be one of our favorite places. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. We'll definitely be back! read more

I'm a deals type of guy and let me tell you the lunch special for $15 it's a great deal! We were able to choose 2 meals each and both were large servings and high quality with great flavors. They also had drinks on the lunch special so we got beers for $3. Everything was excellent and it's a great spot for a date night. Will return again to try different things on the menu! read more

Not a bland dish to speak of! Tried Tacu Tacu for the first time and I never imagined rice and beans can be prepared this way with so much flavor. Pleasantly surprised. The octopus was super tender but not too soft, cooked perfectly. I try to stay away from any sushi rolls with cream cheese but for some reason this absolutely works. The squid ink risotto was not only eye-catching, but delicious--warming and delicate flavors. Not to mention the Chica Morada pisco sour. Beautiful and refreshing. read more

This morning, I noticed a Peruvian restaurant on my way to an assessment and decided to stop by on my way back to the hotel. I had never eaten at a Peruvian restaurant before; my experience with the cuisine has mostly been limited to making it myself or enjoying it at a friend's home. So, I thought I would give this place a try. When I arrived, a young man behind the bar greeted me. I chose to order the Risotto del Pollo Saltado to go. I'm not exactly sure how long it took to prepare my order, as I was engaged in conversation with a very nice lady who was also waiting for her food. I would estimate it took between 15 to 20 minutes. Once I made it back to my hotel room, I dug in immediately. I loved the texture and overall flavor of the risotto. My only complaint was that it was a bit too salty. Overall, the meal was quite good. Since I'm here for a few weeks, I may end up giving this place another try. read more

Service was slow on Valentine's Day, but where is it not? My delicious pargo frito made up for the wait. The crispy fried skin, big chunks of flaky fish...yum! We were catching a comedy show next door and were in a rush, but that didn't stop me from taking every little delicious morsel out. I used to love their happy hour, but unfortunately the menu has changed and my husband and I are really disappointed. They used to offer delicious options like tuna tartare and leche de tigre at happy hour prices, which felt authentic and special. Now those have been replaced with crab wontons and chicken wings with fries and celery -- tasty maybe, but definitely not Peruvian. The drinks are still amazing, but because of the food changes we probably won't be coming as often as we used to. I have been wanting to try this place for some time now, so when a girlfriend said, "Let's do dinner," I knew the place we should try, and it did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, and the space was cute. I ordered a psco sour. It was refreshing with a perfect balance of flavor. There were three of us, so we decided to share several things. Causa traditional made with tuna. I love causa, and I will always order it when I visit a Peruvian restaurant. The portion is usually on the smaller side but not this one. The portion was generous, the potatoes were creamy with some texture, and the flavors were on point. The Yuca a la Huancaina was my least favorite dish. It was just fried yuca with huancaina dipping sauce. The ceviche de corvina y camarones....I am not usually a ceviche fan because many that I have ordered are very acidic, but the acidity with this one was perfect! Want heat? No problem, add the orange colored hot sauce they bring to the table. If that one is too hot, but you just want a bit of heat, take the green one that is mild and add a bit of the orange one. The Chaufa de la casa had lots of steak, chicken, and plantains. The dish was a tad bit greasy for me, but it was so good. We ended the night with a Suspiro de Limon. By this time, we pretty much had to roll out but had to try it. It was super creamy and rich. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. read more

We went here on a Friday night (March, 2024) for the first time. There was live music (a saxophonist). It was a little bit too loud for my taste, but it was a nice touch. I adding pictures of the menu because the ones I looked at online before going were different than the ones that they gave us. So, these are the most current menus. I ordered the Tacu Tacu a lo Macho. I've never had it before. If you have never tried it, it's a traditional Peruvian dish where they use leftover rice and mix it with seasoned white beans. They fry it up to make it crisp and make a patty out of it. There are two Tacu Tacu dishes on the menu. The first has steak come with it. Mine was all seafood. It had shrimp, calamari, a couple of mussels and a scallop. It has a creamy orange sauce. It was very good and very big! I got 3-4 meals out of it. Most of it is the rice and beans mix. It wasn't really "crisp", which is fine. Nor was it really a "patty", but just a large heap of rice and beans with the seafood and sauce poured over the top. It's a good deal at $25 because it's a lot of food! My husband ordered the ceviche. It was very good and enough to fill him up. The drinks all looked really good, but we were going to a movie after dinner. Hopefully we can try the drinks next time. read more

On Tuesday you can get all arroz chaufa 50% off but it still not worth it because the small pieces of chicken and beef taste old and little hard to chewing besides the girl who takes your order looks not friendly . We went in really looking forward to a good meal, but unfortunately, some of the dishes did not meet our expectations. The food was extremely salty, and the chaufa rice was very dry, which made it hard to enjoy. On the bright side, the service was very good--the waiters were kind, attentive, and very polite. The service was a bit slow, but you could tell the staff had good intentions. The highlight of the experience was the passion fruit dessert, which was absolutely delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the restaurant has potential, but there are important areas that need improvement, especially in the kitchen. The food is pretty good! One of my fave dishes is their pulpo a la parrilla. We had Irene as our waiter (pretty much each time we go), she's super funny and super sweet with her service. The restaurant has real nice decoration and the space is overall very clean. They have live bands occasionally during the week, which is nice to enjoy. read more

Came back to his place because quite frankly the food is amazing. The prices are low and the service is outstanding, The location is also very good. This is a secret. I feel kind of bad telling everybody about this place because next time I come, here is going to be very crowded. I had great expectations to try this place. Let's start with the positives, the drinks were incredible. The service was as excellent from the host to the waiters. Let's talk about the food, the presentations was great seasoning was spot on. The Grilled Octopus was the worst I ever tasted. It could be used as a bat, that how hard it was. Stopped in for a bite with my hubby while the little one was in drum practice. We parked out front which was nice as it was drizzling. We sat at the bar and were quickly attended to by the bartender. There was a dj playing some great music and the place had a nice vibe. We ordered the lomo salteado and aji chicken. The papas with the lomo were fresh thick cut and delicious. I went for happy hour..server was attentive but not effective. Orders two appetizers..one was very good. The second was not tasty to me. I told the waitress and left two of the three items on my plate. She never offered to replace or return the appetizer. My drink, Pisco Sour, was good and pretty. My wife is Peruvian, I'm a gringo, and our little son (10) is a good eater who we let order from the adult menu. We've eaten Peruvian food all over the east coast of the US, in Montreal-Quebec, and in Texas. In recent trips and since moving to Miami we settled on Florida having the best Peruvian food we have ever tried. That was because of CVICHE 105, 305 Peruvian Modern Cuisine, and two or three places in Greater Orlando. So far, as of this writing, this is our best place ever. Why? The tallarínes verdes were perfect--the sauce was on point, just deliciously creamy and mild. It does not have a sharp taste of Parmesan cheese the way some Peruvian pesto is incorrectly influenced. Nor does it have an unwanted intense taste of basil alone. It is perfectly balanced and that is rare. Outside of Peru, only my wife's elderly aunt in Montreal gets it the way this restaurant does. I really wanted to order Papa a la Huancaina but we were eating late and did not anticipate ordering appetizers or dessert, so I ordered what I never get, and that was the fettuccine a la Huancaina served with lomo saltado. The sauce was delicious, just perfect, and not on the spicy side if you like that. The lomo was perfect. It is tender, really is filet mignon, and the sauce was not overly salty as it can be sometimes. The petals of roma tomato and red onion were just beautifully cut and presented. When served with the fettuccine, this did not include fries. The arroz chaufa with choice of pollo was delicious. My son orders this often and said it was one of his favorites. It has a prominent taste of toasted sesame oil, it is not salty, and there is lots of white meat chicken. The chicha morada was spiced perfectly and light. This is always a nice addition. My son had Inka Kola and that is always nice to see as well, even though we have come to expect it. The desserts of chocolate cake, which is obviously homemade, and the lucuma mousse was the best we ever ate so far. It has a soft caramel flavor as if the fruit had been perfectly ripened. This is caramel direct from nature and they prepare it so well. I would love to see them try a lucuma ice cream like Pío Pío on Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York. The live music was excellent and everyone either danced or just moved in their seats, with many couples as well as some families even though it was late. The musical act performed Latin and American, and American country, music and it was solid. All and all this was the best Peruvian food experience of many, many we are lucky to have had. We love ceviche so we thought to give this place a try. Nice little cozy place. Our waiter was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Triologagia de Ceviches that included the following - a classic Ceviche de Pescado, - the bold Ceviche de Pulpo al Olivo, - a Ceviches de Camaron The classic Ceviche never disappoints and is also our favorite. The bold ceviche made out of shrimp was good but there is only so much shrimp one can handle It is also a little bit spicy. To our surprise, we did not like the ceviche de Camaron which is made with octopus. We love octopus especially when grilled but not as a ceviche. I was actually so surprised by this place! Seeing that it is connected to a motel and that there aren't usually many cars parked outside, I was skeptical. This was a risk worth taking and I will now be coming back! It was a group of 4 of us and we ordered the Ronda Marina & the triologia de ceviche. This was not only financially the best option, but the best because you get to try just about everything. The ceviche was all delicious and fresh. The star of the show for me was the arroz on mariscos that came with the Ronda marina. Holy cow! I'd come back and get just a bowl of that. Next time, I will ask to change the meat in the Causa.
