What an underrated gem! I had been wanting to check this place out for some time, and I am so glad…read moreI did. I will admit, when I first walked in, I was a bit confused. I looked at the board to see what they offered and wasn't sure where to begin. The wonderful woman by the door handed me a paper menu and asked if I had been there before. Once she learned I was new, she walked me through the menu. I went with the Build Your Own burrito bowl; though you can build your own tacos, burritos, quesadillas or nachos. You start by picking your favorite protein, I went with Barbacoa. Then you add as many fresh free toppings as you would like. I can say that I ate about half and took the rest home. My husband went with a mix & match taco basket, with a side of chorizo refried beans. The chorizo refried beans are so good, kind of jealous, though my black beans were also good. Next time, I may get the chorizo refried beans on my burrito bowl because, yes, they are part of the fresh free toppings. I also tried their Cucumber margarita, as I was a day too early for the Watermelon margarita. The bartender suggested adding jalapenos to the cucumber margarita next time. That was so tasty! You order from the counter and they bring the food to your table. While it seems like counter service, everyone was so attentive it was like have multiple servers taking care of everything. So be sure to add a tip :) They also have reasonably priced family meals that are quite impressive.

I just moved to Foley from San Diego. I don't know if yall are aware... San Diego has fantastic…read moreMexican food. Some would say even better than Mexico's (me I say that.) it's also a fairly known fact that even getting as far as Los Angeles, the Mexican food quality drops significantly. So you can imagine my hopes not being very high in coming to Alabama and receiving good Mexican food. After a good 20 minutes of deliberation, I looked at taco fiesta's menu and it is the most reminiscent of a San Diego taco shop. So I said let's give 'er a whirl. Imagine my utter shock and disbelief when I bit into the Carnitas burrito... flavorful, juicy, both red and green sauces packing an absolute home run with flavor and spice both. My man got the birria quesadilla and a couple of tacos. I also got the beans from my burrito on the side just in case.... Some of these states be having some weird ass beads. But no... Absolute perfection. I will be returning to this spot over and over and over again, my only ask is to put a fish taco on the menu and look into Machaca. You put those on the menu and you have my undying loyalty and devotion. Stamp of approval from an Honorary Mexican from San Diego. Love you.

The burrito is absolutely massive--loaded with steak, rice, cheese, beans, lettuce, and tomatoes. It even comes with salsa roja and verde. Personally, I preferred the roja. Food came out in about 7-8 minutes, which is pretty fast, and the employees were super nice. Not to mention, everything was sooo delicious and incredibly filling.
