This was our second time here, this time around we enjoyed it a bit more. The staff is very friendly, they are attentive without being overbearing! The food was very good, it is a little pricey for Mexican cuisine, but not horrible. The queso here is a favorite as well as their fries!

We really enjoyed our dining experience. The staff was very friendly and fast. The margaritas were okay. They came out very fast (a negative for us because it comes poured from a pitcher instead of being made fresh) with only a lime for garnish. The salsa tasted fresh roasted and we loved it. The Queso was nothing to get excited about. It needs a jalapeño for spice. The carna asada had wonderful flavor. Smaller pieces of meat then we usually get, but the price was cheaper. Overall, we'd love to come again. The margaritas may be the only reason we'd choose someplace else.

Hopefully this review doesn't get lost in the sauce. 5 starts allllll day. This was our first, but not last, time visiting this establishment. Today, is NYE, and my husbands 30th birthday. New to town, we decided to try this place as it was recommended by a neighbor. We were NOT disappointed. Not knowing much about it, I threw the address into the GPS and headed out with the fam. On our way, I decide to read the reviews on here just to see whats up. The one that was the absolute best was where the one chick who was acting like a Karen about how her group of 14 people were total ass hats to the staff and were asked to leave, was the absolute best. The managers reply was perfect and I knew this was a place I could truly enjoy, because they obviously require you to respect them and take no bull! We show up, loads of cars, but get seated instantly. Our waiter, whos name i never got, was super rad. When my husband was in the bathroom, I told him it was his birthday! He's big old 30th! He said okay I got you. Then when my husband returned, played it cool like I didn't say nothing. He asked if he wanted a drink to celebrate and he ended up getting the bloody marry thats made with beer instead of vodka? Cant recall the name, but he loved it. Lol We ordered our food and it came out super fast, hot and fresh. I got the vegetarian burrito with a chile reyno on the side. My husband got the fajita Texans and my kids got the kid stuff lol. It was all super good. Keep in mind, all Mexican food is not made the same. So come here with an open mind and don't have any expectations, because your feelings will get hurt and thats just bad on you. That said, its not san diego Mexican food, but its damn good Pensacola Mexican food! End of meal, he asks if we need anything else. We say nah just some boxes because them portions are HUGE! He comes back with boxes and the check then takes off. A min later he comes back with his whole crew and a dessert to sing happy birthday to my husband! It was epic, one of the ladies singing to us fed him whip cream on a spoon, then smothered his face with a napkin full of it! Definitely was the highlight of the evening and I was hollering lol. 10/10 will be back. The people here, the food, the prices, atmosphere and everything. Absolutely perfect and definitely made our night. Thanks for being such a fantastic place!! Also, managers, if your reading this let me know if I need to change the star rating. I know one of you guys said when you get 5 stars they make you pay for their crap. I aint about that. Let me know how I can better help you guys get the publicity you truly deserve! Cheers!

Fantastic as always!!! So exited to see the old Vallartas has resurfaced with a new name, new menu, new location but same great food. When they closed to open up as a "El Paso" spin off trying to capitalize on Vallartas real reputation it was a disaster and I never went back after 3 attempts to like the new place. The food changed, service changed, it all changed except for the name. Now, thank the good Lord I can resume my 2-3 times a week visit to my old Vallartas with the new name! You have been dearly missed by so many! I will warn you, this location is smaller so be prepared for more wait times then before and parking is going to be a problem but I will park down the street and walk to eat here if I have to.

    a menu for margaritas

I've been here many times and it's ok, not great. The margaritas are eh.. the food is also just ok. The waitstaff is always nice. I think they need to give you a receipt to look at before you pay because there have been mistakes they made I was charged for. It's clean and pretty. All around just ok.

This is a busy place, a bit on the noisy side, with traditional choices, and with reliable Mexican beers on draft.

Oh, if you're opposed to masks, no problem. They even have a sign on the door. No one there wears a mask so heads-up if you care.

Kaley, the bartender worked well with all our guests, including the kids and non-alcohol drinkers. They loved her mocktails! Definitely recommend this venue!

Where do I even begin?…read more We had our wedding at Garden & Grain this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. Being able to look back and see how smoothly things ran is every Bride's dream, and without a doubt you will have the same experience that we did here. Thank you G & G/Perfect Plain/Perennial Hospitality for the amazing experience on our wedding date. You have no idea what this meant to us. It means even more to feel that you guys actually enjoyed being there with us. Pat yourselves on the back and know that you are shining examples of what a wedding venue is supposed to operate like. Cheers to you guys, thank you once again for everything!
