This place is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The sign outside is small and covered by a palm tree. The parking is limited and if it's busy hard to go in and out. It's right next to an ice cream place. You'll see the counter right when you walk in. You first order and pick you own table. ALL tables are high tops. And it's super spacious. We tried the tacos and burritos and both tasted really good. The most authentic given the fact this is basically and touristy area. The service was average, were treated and the orders were right. We came twice during our trip. And both times we were so hungry and I didn't even take pictures of the food. read more

While almost everything was 5 stars, we had 2 items that left us with more of a 4.5 review. Let's start with the good. Birria tacos, yes, please! Soooo good, and my husband has eaten them everywhere. The shells have a nice crunch to them, and the consommé is rich, full of flavor. Burritos asada and something and chorizo suuuuper nice portion and fantastic. I actually split one with my daughter because my meal wasn't so great. The cheese literally melts out of it. Asada quesadilla fantastic and also huuuuge! The cheese literally melts out of it, too. Now, the little bit of bad. The meat in the beef and chicken quesadilla was underseasoned for our 13 year old. We didn't taste it. The half chicken meal was very dry. Great smoky flavor but crunchy dry. It is served with tortillas, but it was so dry it was hard to eat with the tortillas. The pico was great with it as well as the rice and beans. So really just don't get chicken and your going to have a 5 star experience for sure!!!!. Ages of all that ate: 64, 41, 40, 17, 13, 9 so I'd say appropriate for all ages. read more

This family owned and operated roadside taco has their original location on AL-104 in Robertsdale, then their second one opened in December 2020 on Hwy 59 (McKenzie St) in Foley. I was here June 9, 2023 for this location, right around the corner from me, in Gulf Shores on Hwy 59 (1316 Gulf Shores Pkwy) for the soft opening and I was very happy to see that their service and food are what I've come to really like about these folks. The interior is fresh and fun with murals on the walls but I'm not a big fan of all high stool type seating, but the good news is they've built a terrific patio with picnic tables and umbrellas so the options are there. The order system is like the other locations, just walk up to the counter, order and pay at the window and you get a number that is announced over a PA. On the menu you'll find 9 different style Tacos and Burritos, 6 different Quesadillas, 8 Tortas, and delicious looking Grilled Chicken Pollo Asado, both half and whole. The Al Pastor is one of my favorite styles that was originally introduced to Mexican cuisine nearly a hundred years ago by Lebanese immigrants in Puebla, Mexico as a classic shawarma with lamb in pita but the Mexican version today is a pineapple infused pork with seasoning like adobo and served on warm flour tortillas with chopped onion, cilantro and lime juice. The newest addition to their menu, and my absolute favorite here, is the Quesabirria. Unlike the Al Pastor, these culinary delights have their origins from a food truck in Tijuana some 75 years and they rock! In case you haven't tried Quesabirria, it's a birria-style cooked beef folded into a tortilla with melted cheese and served with a side of broth for dipping. Not to be confused with birria tacos, that use corn taco shells or soft tacos. They have some authentic tasting choices that remind me of Cabo and Cozumel as well as some Tex-Mex. Everything always come out made-to-order, fresh and hot, which is a joy. They have sodas and my favorite Mexico's national soft drink Jarritos Tamarindo as well as other flavors. They're open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM, and 11 AM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Bottom line: The friendly and professional owners and staff here have Mexican origins and their food brings a authentic flare and they have incorporated some Tex-Mex flavors and presentation. It's fresh and cooked to order and they'll customize your food the way you like it. I highly recommend it!! read more

Wow wow wow the food is amazing here. I got the steak burrito and a steak taco and it was absolutely delicious. I'm glad they have the Mexican Coca Cola that is sweetened with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. My three daughters gave it a huge thumbs up for the chicken quesadilla!
