Oh my God it was absolutely amazing. So delicious and flavorful. Our other favorite is the shrimp burger. It is so delicious. This is such a great restaurant - one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal after spending the day on the beach. Food is phenomenal! You can't go wrong... amazing food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Love this restaurant

We only…read morewaited about 10 minutes for a table, but it got very busy shortly after we were seated and wait times increased quite a bit. It was a sunny, warm day and we sat outside under an umbrella, though there wasn't much shade coverage. The overall vibe is a casual, waterfront fish shack--laid-back and lively. We started with the stone crabs. While the crab itself was great, the mustard sauce was a little too mayo-forward for our taste and wasn't our favorite. For my entrée, I had the hogfish special served over sweet potato mash with green beans. The hogfish was fresh and delicious, but the sides missed the mark--the green beans were overcooked and the mash was a bit watery and lacked consistency. My husband and daughter both ordered the whole fried fish (yellowtail snapper that day), and they both said it was perfect and absolutely delicious. The fries were good, and while the red beans and rice were just okay, my husband really enjoyed the zucchini and tomato side. Service by Olivia was spectacular--attentive, kind, and always on top of everything we needed. We come back here every time we're in the area. My takeaway: come for the fresh fish and great service, not the sides.

Serve only fresh, local and regional seafood from the U.S! 2. If it is shrimp, it will be Pink Gulf shrimp and none other! 3. No menu item will be made from pre-made or frozen products! 4. If the recipe is from the South it is good for the mouth! These aren't just rules; they are the words of a real individual who believed in a simple philosophy: "Give them the freshest food, prepared with care, and they will keep coming back. Above all, make every meal a celebration!" Salty Papa We are pleased to report that the family legacy is alive and well. The quality is unmistakable; when you refuse to compromise on standards, it shows in every dish. Walking in, you truly feel as though you've stepped onto a boat. The rustic nautical theme perfectly embodies Florida living, and located right before the Fort Myers Beach bridge, it's the perfect dinner destination after a day on the water. Upon walking in, you truly feel like you've stepped into his personal Shrimp House. The ambiance makes you feel as if you are right aboard the boat, with a rustic nautical theme that perfectly embodies Florida living. Located right before the Fort mYERS beach bridge would make a excellent stop after a day at the beach. "The drink menu offered just as much variety as the kitchen. We started with the Dirty Arnold Palmer--crisp, refreshing, and done exactly right. Next was the Gator Bayou Water, which was greener than duckweed! (If you don't know what duckweed is, join the club; we had to look it up ourselves to verify the drink perfectly matched that vibrant, green aquatic hue.) To round out the assortment, we enjoyed a classic Mango Margarita and the Blue Mermaid, which tasted like a refreshing, iced blue piña colada. Whether you're looking for a classic or something adventurous, they have a signature sip for every mood. From their Peel & Eat Shrimp with an assortment of signature flavors (We got the Keylime sunset butter!!) to the standout Papa's Famous Charleston Shrimp & Grits, the variety is endless. Whether you want it fried, grilled, blackened, covered, or wrapped, they have mastered every possible variation. To start we enjoyed crispy, crunchy, pillowy hushpuppies that immediately took a dive into the housemade remoulade. For the entree the coconut crusted chicken with their pinacolada sauce, it was an elevated chicken strip with a tropical touch. As well as their hickory bacon wrapped shrimped basted with their bbq brushed with care But the hospitality doesn't stop there--there is truly something for everyone. They even offer a 'doggie menu' for those enjoying the patio, making it a genuinely family-friendly destination. In Southwest Florida, it's rare to find a spot that balances high-quality seafood with such a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Thank you to our amazing servers Stacy D & Pedro! We will be back!

I also ordered hog fish * a Fl delicacy described as follows: Considered superior in taste and texture, often marketed as the "filet mignon of the sea". Well folks I was served tilapia and charged $28 for a $7 dollar dish. I hope the owner is reading this because you know it's dead wrong. I questioned the waitress Staci because I know this was bogus. Not her fault she does not run the kitchen. I did tell her I planned on reviewing the experience...... after 2 bites I took the food to go so I could prove that they knowingly price gouge customers. I was shocked to learn that misrepresenting fish in FL is considered a food violation and a finable offense....now i have evidence so let's see where this goes. Anyway guys when you go to Salty Papa order chicken wings and cheap drinks others they will try to scam you. See pics of tilapia vs their hogfish *same cheap fish. Also adding pics of real delicacy. This place is a fraud. Owner left a very aggressive response. Not sure why when you got your $28 and I left my phone number. No need to be Sassy if you are really customer satisfaction tag you're it. Enjoy your weekend!

Great spot in Fort Myers for family dinner!…read more Our server Austin was great and the ambiance was nice, live music on Saturday night is always a vibe. I tried the shrimp scampi and Tuna Tutaki off the summer deal menu Tuna Tutaki is the same size as if you ordered it off the regular menu, same as the scampi huge portion. We also ordered the Grouper Oscar which was delicious if we're being picky it could of had more sauce. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their skinny margarita and that's just based off my flavor preference. For dessert The Tower Carrot Cake is equivalent to 3 or 4 big slices, definitely shareable. The Famous Key Lime pie was also amazing but not shareable, it's smaller and so good you'll want it all to yourself! Cheers!

They were backed so we still had to wait for a table but it was a holiday so I don't really hold that against them, just noting. Do note that most parking is valet (complimentary). My husband and I split oysters and the Captains Platter. Captains Platter was tasty but for $40+ - I think they could've given a larger portion of at least the veggie sides. Restaurants who skimp on these always blow my mind, Brussels sprouts are so cheap! What we did have was just ok. Sprouts were soggy and bitter, only a few scallops, but the fish was good. I actually liked the plantains a lot! Our server was fabulous and we did need some help from one of the managers who was also great. It is quite a loud restaurant but again it was packed. Overall, I just wasn't excited about anything we had, and thought the prices were high for the quality. With all the seafood in this area, it would be hard to return here.
