Flaco's has the perfect mixture of simple mexican items as well as some unique, specialty items. They have a great outdoor/covered patio area, large bar, and plenty of main dining room space. The inside plays into the spanish theme in architecture and decor. Once seated, they start you off with a complimentary order of chips and salsa. It was nice they gave us two salsas from the start because only your first serving is complimentary. Know that the salsa was also a true medium. For entrees, I got the Taco Salad (no jalapeños). I could taste that the shell was freshly made and thought the value was great for how many toppings came in the salad. It looked smaller in size but I struggled to finish it all! My aunt got the Choose 3 Mexican Combo with all ground beef tacos. They have both hard shell and soft shell options for tacos and these are served with a side of rice and beans. They were nice to let her get double rice and no beans. My husband tried the Tampiqueña which came with a large skirt steak, cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and some toppings. His portion was huge to make this a great value. Overall, this was a great spot to come and enjoy some mexican food where there is truly something for everyone on the menu. They do offer Happy Hour Mon-Fri from 11am -3pm & 5-7pm where some drinks are discounted but the pricing wasn't very clear. I did ask and the $12 Margarita was discounted down to $9 for reference. We tried to have lunch here and walked in at 2:50 PM. The hostess arrived at the front at 2:53 and told us they were closed until dinner. The sign says they close at 3 PM. Keep this in mind as the establishment apparently operates on bar time. read more

Visited Naples and went back to our favorite Mexican restaurant. We had to have the Tampiqueno steak again and the platter is all delicious. Promise next visit we try something different but we did try the Garlic Soup and wow it was delicious ! What a great place this is. The tequila shots were also well served and enjoyable. I stopped into Flaco's in Naples and had such a great experience, as always. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was helped by Brett, who was friendly, attentive, and made the visit feel extra welcoming. I was able to walk right in and be served immediately. I ordered the taco salad (it was huge and I wish I thought to take a photo before diving in!) and a margarita (which turned to 2), both of which were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're in the mood for something satisfying but light. The location is perfect, easy to get to, and the atmosphere has that fun, relaxed Naples vibe that makes you want to linger. Easy parking and a great spot to bring your young family to. The live music added so much energy to the night without being overpowering, just a great backdrop to a casual evening out, you will not regret this choice!! Flaco's is one of those spots I always make sure to visit whenever I'm in town, and this visit only confirmed why. Highly recommend! Went there for a birthday dinner. Server was not overly friendly and service was slow, like 2 hours for a party of 7, 30 or more minutes waiting for the bill. The birthday girl went to the car and watched a show while we waited for the bill. Then they brought out a desert for her and to sing but she had left 15 minutes before. Mid grade Mexican food. It's nothing to seek out It's just not good I would recommend finding another place in Naples. Especially for a birthday. read more

While in Naples a few weeks ago, we got the craving for Mexican and decided to give Flaco's a try. Would definitely return. We walked in the door around 5pm on Wednesday night to find a guy playing Spanish music on a harp. The room is big and lively. His volume was perfect. Loud enough to enjoy but also allowed for conversation. There is ample al fresco tables available which were mostly being used, but we decided to dine in doors and were promptly seated a booth across from the bar. Our server greeted us, provided the customary chips and salsa and took our drink orders. Chips were chrispy and warm. salsas were tasty and not too hot. I prefer the green. I ordered a Modelo and a shot of 1800. The girls all ordered margaritas. We dont usually order margaritas when dining out because they usually suck as compared to what we make at home ( 2 parts high quality tequila, 1 part Cointreau, 1 part fresh squeezed lime, no salt). But the margarita menu looked awesome. Great selection. The girls tried three different specialty margaritas. They were all very tasty, but as the DD, I stuck with beer. We shared some nachos as we enjoyed our drinks and the wonderful music. The nachos were very generous portion and very good but nothing special. For dinner I had the mahi mahi and shrimp cerviche, the girls all had fajitas. Tasty but again nothing special. Dessert was generous portion of churros. Nice hot espresso too. Overall a nice meal. Typical Mexican-American cuisine. Service was excellent. Not over bearing, very attentive team serving us. Perfect pace. The Spanish music on the harp is the most memorable thing about our experience. We want to celebrate Cinco De Mayo earlier. As we pass through Vanderbilt Beach Road and Air Port Pulling Road, we noticed that Falco's sign. We turn into the mall and stop for an early diner. Although patio tables were available, we sat inside. As we order, patrons are coming and within 15 minutes, the restaurant is half full! We were offered warm chips and salsa as soon we sit down. The Margarita was half price since it is still Happy Hour. What a deal! We order beef enchilada dinner with rice and refried beans and a runken shrimp and fish (Camaron y pescado borracho) with rice and green beans. Both dishes were delicious and tasty. The Drunken Shrimp and Fish could use an extra shot of tequila to bring more seafood umami! The presentations were exceptional. The harp player, Choo Cho, (not 100% sure this is his name) was fun to listen with classic beats! The portion was huge and we did not have any dessert! We've been to Falco at the old US 41 location more than 10 years ago! The location has been changed but the food is still excellent and the Margaritas is at a reasonable price. There last night after a few months. An update on some of my complaints. And I hadn't taken any pictures. Thankfully, they no longer charge 4% if using a credit card. That's great. With four people they put out two baskets of warm chips and one spicy and one NOT so spicy salsa. (unnecessary) was never used. If you want an additional hot salsa as I wanted, it's a $1.50. extra. But at least now you get enough chips. No longer paying $4 for an extra basket as it happened six months ago. Food is always very good. There's certainly enough on the menu. Decent Mexican food! I've been here several times and the food and service have been consistent. I like the outdoor seating area and their margaritas are great! Ask for fresh lime juice for an elevated drink. I most recently tried food from the combination menu - chicken enchiladas, one with mole sauce and one with tomatillo sauce, and the avocado tostada. The food was good, but I have to admit the chicken was strange. The texture was off and although it didn't taste bad, it seemed like synthetic chicken somehow. I liked the rice and beans a lot (though wish they had a black bean option) and tried a bite of the veggie fajitas which were also good. We ordered the guacamole, which unfortunately had a rancid taste so we couldn't eat that. We ended our meal with the fried ice cream, which was delicious. Went there for cinco de Mayo how horrible of an experience it was ripped everybody off for overpriced drinks that had no liquor practically in it all ice don't even have metal spoons knives or forks got the bill. It was absolutely disgusting what they did. They tried to rip us off for a lot of money. we will never go back there again. Big bar, good ambiance (indoor and outdoor), live music, friendly staff and the most important- DELICIOUS FOOD! The chips and salsa off the bat were yum!
