Awesome gourmet Mexican food! Birria, Molcajete, even the chips are great! Multiple salsa styles available. Wonderful presentation on the plate. Beautiful color scheme. Friendly professional service. Well done!!

My husband got the Pina Rellena and he's in heaven! Says it's better than anything he's had seafood-wise, including in South America, Mexico and Europe. It sure looks amazing too, but I didn't sample because I'm allergic to shellfish. My chicken tortilla soup "cup" was a lot larger than expected and wonderful with lots of chunks of avocado and chicken, and my asada taco was great! On a Tuesday night, the place was quiet and only had a few other patrons. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back to this place again when in the area! We live about 2.5 hours away.

Have been there twice. It's our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Had the torta with carnitas the first time and it was good but not enough meat. It was mostly bread. My boyfriend got the California burrito which he loved. It was really good he said but small. We went a second time to get the California burrito again. This time it was bigger I think cuz he asked the waiter if there was a bigger one. I got the steak fajitas plate and was very happy with it. The service there is great. They are very nice and checked up on us a few times. Also had a strawberry margarita which was really good. I'd def tell people to go try this place.

I went there to catch up with some friends and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed. The waitress took us to the table and not later than 5 mins we had salsa, chips and beans to munch on. We ordered some margaritas which were really good and after that...every 2 min somebody came up asking if we were okay? Do we know what to order? After the 6th time, in less than 10 minutes, we placed our order. It was really good, but they kept coming every 2-4 min asking if we needed anything! We ordered dessert: fried ice cream and flan. The waitress came back saying that they didn't have flan (sooo sad), so we ordered churros instead. When the waitress came back the last time she told us that her boss kept sending her to ask if we needed something. She told her boss "they are talking, leave them alone!" Overall, the place was beautiful and food was good but they need to give some space to people to enjoy their time.

Had a wonderful experience at my first time eating at Lucy's Taco Shop! I ate in their spotless…read moredining area (the restroom was immaculate too). They have a huge menu on display. There are 27 combo plates that include rice and refried beans. Most are bargain priced at $14.25 (only three were $17 for shrimp). I had a burrito bowl with carnitas. It was very tasty with a large portion of pork, pico de gallo, rice, refried beans, guacamole and sour cream topped with shredded lettuce and cheese. It was a lot to eat for $13. Portions are substantial and most patrons left with a box to take the remainder of their meals home. They have long hours from 7 am to 11 pm seven days a week. I noticed that they have an extensive breakfast menu too. Delivery of the food was very fast both for the dining in and drive-thru customers. One thing to note about their location. They're in the former Jack in the Box building on the corner of Cheryl Lane and Highway 99 across from the vacant Ray's Food Place in Phoenix. If you're driving from the south on Highway 99 you cannot cross the median to drive into the restaurant. You need to turn left at the light into the Ray's parking lot (or drive straight at the light into Ray's if coming from I-5), turn right and cross Cheryl Lane to get into their parking area or turn into the drive-thru for Lucy's Taco Shop. Leaving is back through the parking area to Cheryl Lane. Phoenix has a confusing interchange to get onto I-5. When you're leaving. drive past the Chevron station to turn left by the former Rite Aid to head towards the freeway entrances. Join Highway 99 in either direction from the light coming out of Ray's parking lot. It's worth the driving logistics the first time to get to Lucy's Taco Shop to support this family owned business. I know it won't be the last time I eat there!

We've been stuck on the East Coast for 15 years and I legit almost cried after my first bite of tamale - it tasted like home. Pro tip: get the half order of nachos unless you're trying to go into a food coma. We still crushed every last chip and were absolutely stuffed, but there was no way we were letting any of it go to waste.
