The service was good the cooks made a breakfast plate for my daughter that wasnt on the menu. They have a decent menu with prices that are really reasonable. The decor looks nice lots of Mexican frames and its pretty quiete. You could hear the music playing in the kitchen but its very low which I like. It smells clean when u walk in, the bathrooms are clean. They have Mexican candy, paletas and jarritos. They also have piñata's for sale. Ti ordered a bacon breakfast burrito it was great. Food is crazy good authentic Mexican food. Try the carnitas burrito supreme, probably the best whole foods home made burrito in Medford. Also the beef taquitos and asada tortas is epic. My error for not taking pictures but one of the best things about this place is they actually give you meat. The burritos have very little fill items. Most places give you tons of rice and beans but they actually give quality meat along with your other items. And it was so tasty. The price is fabulous. The quality is great. Friendly service. And side note that made me so happy- When the tip option came they skipped it for me. Most places want a tip for a napkin and they didn't force the issue which made me want to tip in their tip jar. We came here after being ignored for 30 minutes at Shari's in Central Point. For those of you giving glowing reviews of this place: A. You must not ever have eaten REAL Mexican food. B. You have nearly destroyed my faith in Yelp reviews. This place serves reconstituted refried beans. My companion liked the fish in the fish tacos, but there wasn't enough fish to have some in every bite. Love that they do double tortillas on their tacos. I had a deluxe carne asada burrito. Glad I got the sauce on the side; not tasty. When I ordered deluxe I expected lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guac. My burrito had a lot of those reconstituted beans, rice, meat, and about 15 strands of lettuce, which I paid extra for. WTF? They have really good tacos I don't get here often enough They do well on the gringo friendly Tacos - Asada, pollo, carnitas and al pastor. They do very well on the lengua, tripitas, buche , cabeza etc. The latter melt in my mouth in a flood of awesome flavor and texture. Man o man. I am a sucker for authentic Mexican food. Those that enjoy Taco Bell might want to take a stab at Los Morenas. The food is fast, delicious, and inexpensive. It also tastes a heck of a lot better too! Los Morenas is conveniently located across the street from my work, so I visit them frequently. I usually do a phone in order and the food is generally ready in about ten minutes. I recommend the breakfast burrito with al pastor for meat. Morenas has many meat choices and pastor, which is marinated pork, is yummy and not too scary for the uninitiated. Try a torta which is a mexican sandwich. I usually order al pastor for the meat, but carne. Asada is good too. Restaurant is clean for eating in and $5.00 will leave one quite satisfied. Highly recommended. I imagine the money I have spent here the last three years has put a pool in the owners backyard! LOL read more

Here's the thing with this place: The food isn't bad. The burritos are the best I've had in Medford. But there are too many WTFs for me to give it a solid thumbs-up. First of all, I'm from the Bay Area. I know what Mexican food should taste like and I know how to make it. When I first moved up here, I couldn't find "real" Mexican food to save my damn life. Until a friend turned me onto El Gallo on the other side of town, even finding the stuff to make my own was a real challenge (find carne asada in any of the grocery stores around here and I will bow down to you). One day, my stepdad brought home a burrito from Las Morenas, and I thought to myself, "Okay, this can definitely work in a pinch." Its not what I'm used to (and yes, Mexican food is a regional thing, but good is good), but its the closest I've gotten up here. The problem is, my fiance went and got me a chicken quesadilla today, and when I picked it up, chicken started falling out. I thought this was strange, so I pulled the edge back a bit, and it fell open easily. Odd. Upon closer inspection, I found no cheese. No cheese in my quesadilla. How the hell do you screw up a quesadilla? Its easier to make than friggin' PB&J. I mean, the instructions are in the title. HOW?! In what region of Americanized Mexican food do they not use CHEESE in a QUESAdilla? Had I ordered it plain, would I have gotten nothing but a tortilla wrapped in half? That's beyond disappointing. Its unacceptable. Then there was the time I ordered a breakfast burrito and it came...with lettuce. Please explain to me who decided that eggs and lettuce go well together. I mean, that's not even a fake Mexican food problem, that's just a common sense issue. Bottom line, I will probably go back due to the lack of choices in this town. I was not blown away, nor disgusted, just satisfied for the most part. My husband had a burrito with shredded beef, I snagged a bite and it was good. Also they don't give whole pickled jalapenos anymore they are cut in half. And the guy who took my order was very none verble. I'm the one who said thank you twice haha with no response at all. There are lot of Mexican places in Medford, and lots of Mexicans. (Surprise.) I was the only English speaker in the restaurant, so that says something. With all of the meat choices, I tried a tongue taco and a "cabeza" (cheek meat) enchilada meal, and tamarind juice. Here's the rundown: * Started with the rice. It was clearly sitting around for awhile, despite it being dinnertime, because parts of it had crust. The rice itself was underflavored. * Beans were watery. I could taste the hamhock/bacon that flavors it, but they were swimming. * Random vegetables - a jalapeno (of course), a lime wedge, a carrot, a pepper?, and something else I forget. One of each, tossed on top of the whole meal. Why? * Enchilada: Getting better now. I realize that my American palate expects more of a taste explosion, and the flavors here are more subtle. I still felt this one was a little lacking (flavor and meat quantity), but I just may not be an enchilada person. Probably should have gotten two tacos. * Taco: Definitely the best, and the one I ate last, so I guess I win? Plenty of meat, taco shell was soft, flavors are authentic. * Dessert: No. They have prepackaged stuff of questionable natural content. I'm wavering between 2 and 3 stars. I'm going with the 3 because a) a lot of Mexicans eat here, so clearly the flavor palette is geared toward them and not me, and b) it's crazy cheap and the food comes out very quickly. I found this place via yelp of course after craving for some mexican food for several days straight. I decided to check it out on a Friday night after work around 7 and was surprised to see no customers other than myself at the restaurant. I enjoyed the random ice cream area and the types of candy that they were selling over the counter...these are definitely things you would never find in a normal supermarket. They have also utilized one of the left corners of the restaurant as their storage area (drinks/plates..etc)? Which to me was a sign of authenticity when it comes to mexican cuisine, not sure about anyone else heh. Anyhow, I had the specials of the day - chicken supreme burrito for $5. We stopped by on the way to the airport and were pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of these very authentic, inexpensive burritos. The staff were friendly and gracious. I had a vegetarian burrito supreme, which was delicious, not too heavy on the cheese and had plenty of fresh avocado. My partner had the burrito assada, which hit the spot. It is an unassuming storefront and the decor is minimal, but there is plenty of authentic Mexican sodas, chips, and candies to go with your yummy meal. First mexican food place I've ever been to that does not carry nopales or fresh chile's rellenos. The Chile rellenos is apperantly canned & only put into a burrito. Only vegan option they had was a burrito with beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, & avocado. The burrito was good but only had 2 small pieces of avocado. My cousin liked his chicken enchiladas but my uncle didn't like his order of Carne asada. The meat portion was good but he said the meat was way too chewy. The agua de tamarindo was fantastic though!
