This little taco truck is right in front of a dingy and dirty bar for dirt cheap drinks and smart for this business because once they're drunk they can purchase tacos from them. This place doesn't have a price on their truck and when asked it almost felt like the lady was annoyed. I then spoke Spanish to her, just to show her I'm no gringa. I asked to try out their carne asada and its the best thing ever!!! Made with homemade tortilla, carne, cilantro and onions with limes... I had an party in my mouth. Idk what is up with Denver CO but this place seems to not like black people. Idk same attitude was given just at the other location. Bad customer service but the food was great. Would I come back, Hell yeah! Next time if the attitude is given and I'm going to give it back.

very under filled quesabirria, come with the smallest amount of meat and they refused to make it right. decent taste but wouldn't waste the money here again if that's how the food comes out. Most of them looked like this

Semi decent food truck. Location is off Colfax. The service was friendly, but we seemed to wait a while for our tacos. There wasn't too much ambiance. Kicking myself for not getting pictures!

I got the quesabirria tacos and they were pretty delicious. The order came with 3 tacos which were decent size, consome, and a red and green sauce. The limes were unfortunately a little dry. I wish they would allow ordering a la carte tacos. I ordered for pickup and it took 30 minutes longer than quoted. The food truck is at a convenient location to me so I will definitely return to try other items on the menu. I will make sure to allow extra time for them to prepare the food so I'm not awkwardly standing on the busy street of Colfax.

Not pictured were the Quesabirrias which are fantastic! I basically drank the Consome and added the green sauce all over my tacos. Takes about 10 minutes after ordering at the food truck and always comes packaged up with the sauces.

Why Matt, why? You've lived a half mile away from El Consome De Morelos for nearly a year. You've driven by the food truck over 150 times. What the hell took you so long to try it? On behalf of myself, I would like to apologize to my stomach, my appetite and my mouth. This food truck is like the little engine that could, dishing bomb Mexican food for under $10. For the longest time I thought it was a tamale truck. After finally stepping up to the plate, it's legit Latin food with a Denver flare. Tacos, smothered burritos, breakfast burritos, pupusas, consome, quesadillas. I went on an exhausting 7 mile hike and I knew like the back of my hand that I needed a smothered burrito. The best part, they serve Barbacoa! FTW, that's rare. And damn, was this giant burrito that ran me $8 was a home run. Soft burrito, perfectly tender Barbacoa, and all the gooey melty cheese you dream about. This will not be my last time here. They are parked here pretty much every day outside The Viking Bar. Whatchu waiting for?!

Wow. I've tried a few Birria tacos and these are by far one of the best ones. So fresh and amazing. The birria broth is to die for. We actually saved it and made birria ramen when we got home. It's a tiny little food truck but don't let the looks take away from the quality of the food.

3.5 stars! Pretty tasty tacos, and I liked the salsas. Worth a stop if you're craving tacos and in the area. The meat was reasonably flavorful, I loved the cheesiness, and the price is more than fair. They also don't skimp on the portion sizes, so a great spot if you're very hungry. With that said, I'm going to be a little harsh and admit that out of all the 4 different spots I've had birria tacos this year, these were the bottom of the heap. This year, I've had Kiké's red tacos in Denver, "La Unica" in LA, Kalaka Mexican Kitchen in Evergreen, CO, and El Consomé de Morelos on Colfax. These were the unfortunately the weakest of the four for a few reasons: - The best quesabirria tacos have one thing in common: crispy tortilla. El Consomé de Morelos unfortunately does not have the crispy shell, which docks it a bit ("Kiké's" and "La Unica" in LA absolutely nail this). - Out of all four consomé spots I've been, el consomé de morelos had the least flavorful and most watery consomé. This is the only consomé that neither my wife and I chose to drink / finish after eating the tacos. - Meat was NOT BAD at all, but was the least flavorful of the four. I definitely WOULD go back here, don't get me wrong, and I wish I could give 3.5 instead of 3. But I've also got to be honest, these are not the best birria in town.

After visiting Mexico, I was curious to see where I could find affordable and delicious tacos in Denver, and I did! Located inconspicuously as a food truck on colfax, el consome has tacos for $2.50 with onions, cilantro, and salsa. We ordered right away and there was little line on a Saturday night. The food came out in 5-10mins which was perfect because you know they were made fresh to eat. The taste was so authentic to what I had just had in Ensenada Baja Norte just the week before We ordered the carne asada, barbacoa, and carnitas tacos! Definitely swing by for a great eat!

(English below) - Okay this place is seriously super delicious. Ordered online and it was ready within 15 minutes. The sauces tasted amazing. The food itself was super tasty. It's a food truck right off of Colfax. This is a spot you definitely have to check out. It has 5 stars for a reason. I will 1000% be returning!

Good food and good service. Only 4 stars since the tacos were rather dry for a Birria taco in my opinion. Salsa was good but, not very spicy if you are worried about that. Would definitely go back to try another menu item!

So when I saw Baba's at the South Denver Beer Fest I knew I just had to try it. They had a limited menu going on but it works, I got the falafel cone and they asked if I wanted it regular or spicy and I went with spicy. It was up in a few minutes and while they were making it, I chatted with the guy and girl running the truck. We talked all things food and social media and they even have me some suggestions on where to find legit middle eastern food in the area (excluding their truck of course) , superfriendly folks. And the falafel cone? Omg, it was an instant mouthgasm in the form of a cone! The falafels had perfect consistency and flavor and the tahini was smooth and rich. They made it spicy and it had just enough spice to accent the flavors but not overtake it. I was a sad panda when I finished it. If you see them around, definitely check it out and get some balls in your mouth!!

Plus, the people are nice & friendly, which is always important. I will definitely be paying them another visit in the near future. I can see me becoming a regular customer. It's clear this restaurant doesn't know how…read moreto do large events because it took a team of 7-9 people a good 1.5 hours to serve three simple dishes which consisted of a chicken adobo over rice, pork over rice, and some curry; the last table at the wedding wasn't served their food until 8:40 PM. That is frankly unacceptable. If the team assembled themselves in an assembly line fashion all the food would have been served in 30 min max. Anyone with some common sense would do the following: have one person scoop the rice, have another person add the protein, and then a final person put the lobster tails on. The team was completely unorganized and were delivering 4-5 plates to tables at a time while others at the table had to wait another 10 min for their food. Besides that, the portions were small and the food wasn't even that tasty; the rice lacked flavor and their specialty, the adobo, was incredibly bland. Finally the lobster tails that were served were of poor quality as it seemed like they were not fresh. Anyone who is catering a wedding is much better served by finding a different caterer, one that is more organized and delivers better food. No one should ever have to go to a wedding to eat crappy food that isn't filling.
