California Roll with two pieces of Gyoza!
    Carly W.

I've been itching to try Roll It Up Sushi Truck for a minute now. So when I saw them slinging their rolls at Metropolitan State University, I jumped on the chance to finally indulge in their eats. ROLLS & EATS: I've happily noshed on the california roll, pokemon bowl, voodoo child roll, gyoza, and more! Everything is always well asembled, super fresh, and oh so tasty! They offer 2 pieces of gyoza for $1 too! So awesome! Looove me some gyoza!! BEVVIES: While it sounds odd to have a category for canned beverages; I have to say, I really enjoyed the peach Peace Tea I opted for during one of my last visits. SERVICE: Everyone with Roll It Up Sushi Truck is super friendly. Each time I'm there they have patience with me ordering and make offeres that will ultimately help me try more of the menu, while not breaking the bank. LOCATIONS: Sine they are a food truck, it's highly advised to avidly stalk them on social media to find their next curbside roll-up. Seeing that I crave sushi on the regular and love the convience of that craving being served from a truck at a curb side near me, I' know I'll be back for more that Roll It Up Sushi Truck has to offer!

I recently tried Roll It Up while attending the Outdoor Retailer show. The menu options sounded the best out of all the other food trucks to me so why not. The line was decently long, but they were pretty quick with the order taking and food delivery. I had the Pokemon bowl which consisted of seaweed salad, tuna, rice, onion flakes and a teriyaki type sauce. The bowl overall was okay. I liked how fresh the fish was, but I wish it had more toppings or spice. I ended up dosing it with some soy sauce and sriracha to add a bit more flavor. For a $11 bowl I just feel like it could have had something more exciting going on. If you're in the mood for a standard poke bowl then give them a shot, but don't expect anything outstanding.

A sushi food truck?! You betcha and also a Santa Fe First Friday Art Walk find! Yes, yes they are there to fill you up with delicious sushi as you walk around or just sit and people watch. I have never had sushi from a truck before, so you know I had to check it out! All of the options for sushi looked delicious, don't get me wrong I could've probably ordered all of them and I would've needed to be carried home. I decided on the Coney Island roll and my friend got the Pokémon Bowl. I tried some of his and the tuna was delicious..I kinda wanted that one as well. Both options were awesome tasting and not only that, they looked very pretty too! The Coney Island Roll's flavors all blended nicely together, giving you hints of everything and leaving nothing overbearing. Bottom line if you see this Sushi Food truck, do not hesitate, do not approach with caution..run to it and chow down!!:)

Sushi from a food truck? While I was a bit hesitant, I couldn't resist trying at least something from this unique truck at D.T.C Eats the other day! SERVICE: killer. no joke! the two guys that run this truck were in good spirits, cracking jokes and full of smiles as they opened their window to start the day! they helped in narrowing down the favorite of the rolls served and fixed up my food to perfection! FOOD: holy yum! fresh ingredients, perfect portions, tons of roll/bowl options (even sides!), all made to order - right in front of you! Because I already ordered a poke bowl from another food truck (which i regretted, as their poke bowl looked much better and fully loaded), I opted for an order of dumplings to accompany our bowls. SO GOOD! A little pocket of dough, stuffed with chicken and veggies, fried to perfection with a drizzle of sauce and green onions! Literally everything on the menu looked delicious - especially the poke bowl! mmmmm!! LOCATION: all over the city! check out their facebook/instagram page for updates on where they are daily! #sushiislife

While taking a road trip I knew Denver wouldn't disappoint on food trucks. We were in luck, there was a food truck rodeo going on at the hospital ground as we were rolling through. I checked out the 20+ other food trucks and Roll It Up was, without a question, the one I planned on chowing down at. Ordered up The Lincoln Osiris and The Coney Island. Service was super friendly and so fast. The rolls were exactly what I was hoping for. I can't recommend Roll It Up Sushi highly enough

Got the Sesame Chicken Bowl. A lot of chicken fo the $10 price point. Very quick service during a bustling Civic Center Eats Tuesday lunch time.

At first, I was a little skeptical about ordering Sushi from a food truck... but I am glad I did! We had the VooDoo Child, The Coney Island and The Sandy Colfax... and super bonus... received "The Lincoln Osiris" as a taster! Here is how I rate the the rolls: 1. VooDoo Child - I loved this roll. Pacific Ahi tuna, Kasai chili marinade, sliced cucumber, fresh guacamole and julienne jalapeño, topped with Dojo mayo, fresh young onion, Sambal-Teriyaki and roasted wild sesame. 2. The Coney Island - Very tasty! 2. The Lincoln Osiris - Yes. The bonus roll tied for second! The BBQ Siracha gave this a nice punch. 3. The Sandy Colfax The owners of the truck are super nice fellas and the customer service is second to none. If you have a chance, you should definitely give this truck a shot!!!

I used to work for and ran a food truck in Denver and would be at most of the same events Roll it Up Sushi truck was scheduled at, so I've been eating (food trading is an awesome job perk) at their truck for years now and I have to say they are the most impressive sushi truck out there. The owner's name is Matt and he is super kind. He trains his employees to not only make amazing sushi, but to also care about their customers and provide the best food truck customer experience possible. I can't say the same about the wrap food truck I worked for and that's why I'm no longer with them, but I will always be a fan of Roll it Up and any other food truck concepts Matt creates. Keep up the good work you guys!!

So when I saw Baba's at the South Denver Beer Fest I knew I just had to try it. They had a limited menu going on but it works, I got the falafel cone and they asked if I wanted it regular or spicy and I went with spicy. It was up in a few minutes and while they were making it, I chatted with the guy and girl running the truck. We talked all things food and social media and they even have me some suggestions on where to find legit middle eastern food in the area (excluding their truck of course) , superfriendly folks. And the falafel cone? Omg, it was an instant mouthgasm in the form of a cone! The falafels had perfect consistency and flavor and the tahini was smooth and rich. They made it spicy and it had just enough spice to accent the flavors but not overtake it. I was a sad panda when I finished it. If you see them around, definitely check it out and get some balls in your mouth!!

Their falafel is excellent--very flavorful and delicious. And they have come up with some very inventive ways to use it. For example, they have created a falafeldilla and nachos, both using hummus & falafel. I got the "nachos," and the spicy sauce they use is soooo good. Plus, the people are nice & friendly, which is always important. I will definitely be paying them another visit in the near future. I can see me becoming a regular customer. I would not recommend this place for wedding catering. It's clear this restaurant doesn't know how…read moreto do large events because it took a team of 7-9 people a good 1.5 hours to serve three simple dishes which consisted of a chicken adobo over rice, pork over rice, and some curry; the last table at the wedding wasn't served their food until 8:40 PM. That is frankly unacceptable. If the team assembled themselves in an assembly line fashion all the food would have been served in 30 min max. Anyone with some common sense would do the following: have one person scoop the rice, have another person add the protein, and then a final person put the lobster tails on. The team was completely unorganized and were delivering 4-5 plates to tables at a time while others at the table had to wait another 10 min for their food. Besides that, the portions were small and the food wasn't even that tasty; the rice lacked flavor and their specialty, the adobo, was incredibly bland. Finally the lobster tails that were served were of poor quality as it seemed like they were not fresh. Anyone who is catering a wedding is much better served by finding a different caterer, one that is more organized and delivers better food. No one should ever have to go to a wedding to eat crappy food that isn't filling.
