Ordered to go. Staff were very polite. Ordered a combo with a burrito, taco, and tostada. The burrito was okay. I ordered hot green chili and no spice was detected. Edible, but the chili was watery and bland. The taco was okay but there was no salsa so it ended up just a seeming dry. If they put salsa in the order, it would have been great but no salsa and I didn't even finish it. The tostada was substantial and impressive. Two shells, piled high with lettuce and tomato. Excellent. But, again, no salsa spoiled the mood. And again, if salsa were included, I could have possibly given five stars. Without salsa, the tostada was missing something and was too dry. The restaurant was nice, but the food left a lot to be desired. Eating in May be better as the simple addition of salsa could have saved the day. Not the worst meal ever, lots of potential, but there are better options nearby. read more

This was an awesome find as they were open early and had everything one could ask for breakfast goodness that just hit the spot after a long night! Coming here was really random and I just say quite delicious as I came wanting breakfast and ended up getting a combo plate which I was totally stoked on! My combo plate had a chili relleno, enchilada, and beef burrito all of which was in their delicious red sauce making for one saucy goodness all around as each was delicious with the chilli relleno being wrapped in what I would call a egg roll wrapper which is something I've never seen before but it was still good in it's own way! This plate reminds me of many of the random Mexican spots back home in Cali that I miss and don't get to go to anymore because I've moved to the south so coming here and experiencing these flavors reminded me of growing up which was totally awesome and just hit the spot! My lady enjoyed her breakfast too we both loved our time here and it was definitely a yummy treat that got us through a long day of travel! Overall this was an awesome spot if I lived in the area I'd totally come back so do yourself a favor and pay them a visit as it's super yummy! read more

The ambiance of this shop is a mom and pop place, service was quick in the morning for a to go burrito. they had a sign up from for a basic breakfast burrito $3.99 which is a great price during these time. However for us I ordered 2 burritos had them put bacon. The food was inside of the burrito was good all but the chili it lacked taste and flavor the only thing that semi helped was hot sauce when we got to our destination. Sadly this was a miss for us they do have other food so maybe one of these days we can stop in to see if a sit down breakfast is better. We hope to be back to give a second chance. read more

My favorite place in the neighborhood for to-go breakfast burritos (and there are a lot of choices). When you enter, you'll see a wall with about 20 varieties of breakfast burrito to choose from. I've tried several and never been disappointed. They are all reasonably priced and taste flavorful and fresh. So this establishment is currently under new ownership, and there are numerous adjustments. I believe this was my third visit to this location under the new management, and it had been a while. I reside just down the road. We enjoyed the outside view of the patio, so we sat there. I ordered herchata and chicken enchiladas, as well as a guacamole tostada loaded with cheese. After a few nibbles, I realized this was nothing like I expected, probably I should have had just cheese given that it felt somewhat soft and the flavor was lacking. It wasn't my strong suit; the tostada was tasty, and my partner's food was acceptable. Needless to say, I wasn't satisfied with what I ordered; perhaps there was anything else on the menu that I overlooked? The service proved great as well as helpful. read more

The onions and peppers burrito had great flavor and was tasty especially with their salsas. The prices are great and you get a large burrito for it! Hole in the wall vibe with hole in the wall prices. What's not to love! We tried the steak fajita and the chorizo. If you can handle some spice, get it hot. We got both hot and medium and the hot wasn't spicy! The steak fajita is saucier and has peppers and onions inside. The chorizo is your standard - full of flavor. Two great options! The only thing that would make the burrito better is crispy hash brown type potatoes inside and some homemade hot sauce! I'm asking for hot sauce next time. Can't wait to come back! read more

The spirit of service continues to be outstanding, as are the burritos. They serve very generous portions. Disappointingly, there wasn't any discernible egg in my breakfast burrito, or any of our burritos, although the burrito was delicious. Please consider raising your prices as needed to include discernible egg in your breakfast burritos. You have a terrific product here! Or just add a charge for extra egg. We had a great experience here. The Posole passed the test of my wife's expert and selective posole rating. I had the meat lover skillet and it was tasty and filling. I asked for hot sauce, and Lupe brought me multiple options...and they were very good. Chips and salsa were also good. I'm constantly forgetting that Santiago's is closed on Sunday and I wound up here! Very busy spot, as I was worried about trying a new spot. That being said, the service was fast! I had a large order and was already worried since they kept having to help dine-in customers. They pleasantly surprised me when I had my 5+ burritos within 10 minutes. It sounds like you can order ahead here too! I also want to note how immensely polite they were. There was just one woman at the counter, and I saw her seating people, bringing orders to them, and taking to-go orders. She kept apologizing to me every time she returned to the counter, and when someone else showed up to help her, the new guy also made sure to apologize for the delay. Of course service is just one part of the equation. We were thrilled with our burritos - a generous size with gooey chili, chorizo (our choice of meat today), eggs and cheese. The spice was nice and we definitely noticed the difference between mild and hot. read more

Great newer spot close by on Federal Blvd. My husband and I decided to sit outside on their patio since it wasn't so hot. It was nice with quite comfy chairs for patio furniture but a bit on the noisy side due to being right on the road. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I ordered combo #5 which had a beef burrito, chile rellenos, and a cheese enchilada. Great portion size for $13 so I also had extra for leftovers. My fav from the combo was the Chile Rellenos. I ordered it crispy and it was SO good! I also loved that they asked if I wanted my combo mild, medium, or hot which I've never been asked that before. I ordered medium and it packed a nice bit of spice. The complimentary chips and salsa were quite good... loved that the salsa had a nice spice to it unlike most places. The only real drawback for me was I really was in the mood for some queso for my chips and they do not have queso on the menu. read more

The chili, potatoes, beans, and cheese work in perfect harmony to bring you a top, denver style floppy wet sock of breakfast burrito. A side of bacon($4) makes my breakfast complete. My latest addiction is the Chile Relleno plate($12.99). My favorite is the "soft" version, which is dipped in whipped eggs and fried(pictured).
