Simply awful. I ordered a breakfast burrito with no meat. Apparently they understood as someone wrote, "No meat" on the wrapper. I came here on a lunch rush so I was expecting to have to wait a lil longer then normal, due to everything being cooked fresh right there. This lady came in and blew up cause she was waiting 15mins, her food was coming up anyways but she threw a fit got her food and stormed off, I'm not even sure if she paid, let me say this the staff was apologizing for it taking 15mins which in my eyes was perfect waiting time if it wasn't lunch time. I have to tell you this was very good Mexican food and it is very reasonably priced look at how much food you get, and it won't break the bank. I spent a little over $50 to feed 5 people! Killer Authentic California style Mexican Food. My adobada soft taco and carne fried taco were great! My wife's shredded beef rolled tacos along with rice were excellent, too. Today we went in & ordered two burritos & menudo. Get all the way back home & one of the burritos is missing. Drive all the way back only to have to wait for 6 more orders (about25 min) to be filled before we get the burrito they had forgotten. Come back home to cold food that we had to microwave. Very disappointing for paying good money & having expectations of good service. All of the being said, the lady at the front counter was more than rude, as if it were our fault and a major pain for them to have to complete our original order. Not ok service for a restaurant. Finally I came back to complain only to hear that I couldn't get my kids order replaced because I left it at home. Note there were several items that were wrong I was just trying to get my little boy's burrito correct. No skin off my back you just lost a family of 8 business. When I got there and ordered the special it did not come with a small drink and they told me they didn't know anything about the commercial. I walk in and the person at the register was on FaceTime and acted as if me ordering food was an inconvenience, then asked if I wanted to tip so I said sure just do a dollar and I watched him type in two dollars, which wouldn't be an issue if the service wasn't absolutely terrible. Not entirely El Delicioso's fault, but I had some needy white people in line ahead of me that don't know how to order Mexican food. They wanted to customize everything on their order so that it was more like Taco Bell food, why don't they just go there?? Anyways, the girl at the register was swamped with their requests/needs. We are regulars at the Redding El Delicioso, so when they opened one in Anderson we were pretty excited. So, after eating there way too much, (three times a week or so) we were fairly satisfied. The Redding location is much better. There is no drive through in Anderson. That is a bummer, but it was still ok. Well, after a few weeks of regular visits and only getting our order wrong a couple times, which is understandable with a language barrier, we continued to go. That all changed tonight, 16/08/2021, we placed our order, waited an little longer than normal and then headed home. When we got home, not only was the order missing a key item, the other item was completely wrong. So I went back to the shop and explained what happened. That gal at the front was super sweet and said she would fix it. Wrong, the cook was too prideful to admit he was wrong and only wanted to fix the part he forgot to make. She came out from the back with my order and explained she could only get the part he forgot. I am a tolerant guy, and don't expect my order to always be right. However, I do expect it to be fixed when I do take the time to politely request it to be fixed. So for the cook to flat out deny or refuse to fix his mess up has lost the Anderson ElDelicioso a frequent customer. We fortunately have a car with great fuel economy and will drive to Redding from now on. My recommendation is give them a try but don't expect more than a 50% correct order ratio. My family and I will no longer be patrons of this location. I hope they don't fail, but with the Machismo attitude abundantly clear, it will meet the same demise as the best little sandwich shop. read more

The food is good and so are the prices which is why I gave 2 stars. However, I'm a believer that customer service is HUGE and this place was horrible. When the woman was taking our order she would randomly walk away, or turn away and start talking to someone when I was literally mid sentence. Extremely rude to the point we almost walked out. On top of this, when we sat down after ordering, the tables were gross. Then we watched them hand the wrong food to someone who opened it to eat, before realizing it wasn't there's and brought it back up to the counter. The woman up front then took it and GAVE IT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. That is disgusting to give food to someone that another person has already touched ESPECIALLY during a pandemic, and is probably enough to get them shut down! read more

The food is fine. The problem is that the woman who works the counter always forgets to give me salsa for my take-out meals. This used to happen with another woman at another local Mexican restaurant as well. But this evening, when she handed me my bag, I specifically asked her if she included salsa, and she replied, "I did." But when I got home, there was no salsa in the bag. This is unacceptable. The atmosphere this evening was bad too. There was a Mexican family eating there, and letting their kids walk around like they owned the place, and they were going in and out of the restaurant when eating. These people left trash on the floor, and two of the adults were leaning against my car outside. The woman was on her cell phone, leaning on my car like she owned it. These people were total slobs and left a mess. I suspect they were illegal aliens who never learned proper American civility and dining etiquette. They were like bipedal animals. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this in my life at a restaurant before. While the restaurant is not solely responsible for this, they should have insisted that these people sit down and behave like human beings when eating. read more
