Still a top spot for good food in Redding. Service is friendly, polite, and quick. I tried the California burrito and it's my new fav. Great combo of flavors and for these days, a reasonable price.

See that beautiful, perfect margie down in the right hand corner? Well, very sadly, it is JUST a picture. :(

Lovely people, good food, generous portions. Ruth is so warm and friendly. When she learned we were from Los Angeles, she suggested a restaurant in So Cal serving delicious dishes from her native Guatemala. Yay! More food to try - LIVE that for me! lol Hubby's steak quesadilla was HUUUGE and delicious. I was craving carne asada, but not typically made, so Ruth asked the chef to layer it on top of potatoes with cheese and a side of ranch dressing. Great! She also brought us comp chips and two kinds of house made salsa. Very nice. If I'm being totally honest, I was really looking forward to a margarita with my dinner, and found the picture of a beautiful one on the menu to be just a picture. They have beer available, but not a full bar license, so no margie. Bummer. But Ruth was super nice and food was good. Cheers! CC

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.

I like this business because it has great food and it always will like have great food. I tried the fish tacos for the first time and they were great. I would have posted a picture of our meal, but we ate it too quick. The service was great! And their outdoor seating is shaded and nice. I recommend this place as a five star review.

Excellent! This is the type of gem you hope to find on Yelp. Small, tucked away, lots of pride in their menu and the quality of the food. Highly recommended. Don't let the setting (separate building in the back of the parking lot AutoWorks shop). Withe stop if you're driving by on Hwy. 5 too.

Followed Yelp review to this Mexican restaurant. This place shared a parking lot with an auto body shop. We were greeted promptly by a lovely lady. We ordered 3 kids meals, 2 homemade corn tacos and a taco salad. You can tell it is a great place just by the Delicious smell in the restaurant. My boys said it was the best taco and even beans and rice they have EVER tasted! Highly recommend it!

The food was so amazing and the people are extremely nice, they gave us extra food and opened up the shop just for us. Outdoor seating is nice and shady and very pretty.

First time here was great. Two weeks later, lady was rude, kept saying on line order didnt match name. When we tried to so her it was ordered and paid through door dash, she still said it didnt match which was weird. We felt pretty disrespected, left and got a refund from door dash . Guess we wont be back . Darn it.

Complimentary Chips & Salsa- 5/5 stars

They are located right next to the gas station- Look for the banners that say Burritos and Tacos. It's a medium sized taqueria spot, and there were a good amount of tables inside and a few available in the partially outdoor patio. They weren't super busy at 2:30pm on a Saturday. I was seated when I arrived, and tried: -Complimentary Chips & Salsa (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=g2ylJIkHVPS_SSsS2qB5AQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): So good! The chips were flavorful and crispy, and the salsa was also super flavorful. -Street Taco w/Carnitas ($2.35, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=z78D4EXvtWiath0noiNTlQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Solid street tacos, and the carnitas were flavorful. -Super Taco w/Carne Asada (Homemade Tortilla, Lettuce, Cheese, Guacamole, Sour Cream, $4.49, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LmqpyECH-FvdM1MATyxZHQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): The carne asada had a good sear, but the super taco had too many ingredients going on. It was good, but I would stick to the street tacos. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out very quickly. There was plenty of parking when I came, but spots may be limited during the lunch and dinner rushes.

Veggie tacos with refried beans and rice
    Amy T.

Started with standard chips and salsa. The salsa is very watery, but full of flavor. Definitely not from a can. So good I asked for a second container. I chose the veggie tacos that come with corn tortilla since I have to eat gluten free. The tacos were decent, but I'd be interested in trying other dishes too. This dish comes with refried beans that do not contain lard, so they're veg friendly. The rice was the best tasting rice I've had from a Mexican restaurant. My friend agreed. She ordered veggie enchiladas. She couldn't decide between red or green sauce, so she ordered one of each. The cooks we're very open to this. She prefers mild sauces and ended up preferring the green sauce made of tomatillo. We were interested in dessert, but sadly they don't have any on the menu. The owner delivered a small bowl of ice cream from her kids stash!!! Service like that only comes from a family run restaurant with soul. Definitely recommend.

So delicious. It's rare that I'll give 5 starts on a first visit, but the Hermanos left me with no choice. What else can I tell you. Great Mexican food on Market Street in Redding. Not too far from I-5 and worth the drive. Open everyday except Monday. It's an unassuming restaurant where you can assume the food will live up to the hype. Counter seating inside. Dog-friendly seating patio outside. The young cashier was really nice and when I told him I thought the mild red sauce was excellent he shared that it was his favorite. If you think something as simple as a cheese enchilada can't be gourmet and elevated, I suggest trying anything from Rick Bayless (Chicago or LA) and El Cholo (LA) with their aged cheddar. All that to say, Casa Rios didn't disappoint. My friend got the chili relleno with cream sauce, one word, FANTASTIC. I like that it had a bit of char to it and that it wasn't super eggy.
