Burrito Dinner, avocado, sour cream, asada, lettuce, cheese and beans
    Rene H.

So I've ordered from this place twice, both on UberEats. The first time was decent, the burrito was good and the rice n beans were good! HOWEVER, this second time I was definitely scammed. I ordered a burrito dinner with extra meat, and as you all can see I basically got a veggie burrito. There was little to no meat and the majority of it was just avocado, lettuce and sour cream. I'm not a huge "health fanatic" but I gotta say with those ingredients being the majority of the burrito it was just a giant ball of fat. I barely ate anything, I'm honestly upset but it's whatever. Probably won't order from them again after this experience

Ordered nachos with chicken it was not good not seasoned. My chicken was boiled and smelled funny. I will not be back.

I wouldn't give this restaurant any stars I ordered nachos. My chicken was boiled. Smelled funny no seasoning barely any cheese.

About a 1-1.5: El Faro had consistently been rated as the locals for having the best burritos in the Chicagoland area - unfortunately, I have to disagree. Besides burritos, the menu also includes tacos, tortas, tostadas, as well as breakfast plates, dinner options (such as milanesa de res, enchiladas, chile rellenos, etc.), weekend specials (such as menudo and pozole), and even vegetarian options. I ordered a Steak & Chile Relleno giant burrito, which usually comes with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and beans; I opted out of the lettuce and tomatoes, just in case I had any leftovers and didn't want to reheat those veggies. I'm glad that I did, as the burrito was definitely 'giant-sized', and it was definitely more than enough to spread of 2-3 meals! The burrito itself was okay - while the filling was super generous, I just wished the chile relleno and the steak were both more flavorful; they were actually kind of bland, and I had to douse it with hot sauce. In addition, the refried beans were a little goopy and had a funny taste to them, which I was a little sad about, since I love refried beans. The tortilla was not fresh, as the edges were dry and hard; I think they were supposed to grill it so that the edges could be sealed and the inside could be heated through, but the main kicker was that the burrito filling was cold in temperature - not cool! Service was quick and efficient, and even though there was a line, it moved along pretty fast. I can see why, as the food just seemed to have already been made and just needed to be quickly assembled, rather than making it fresh and served hot... I really wanted the fresh and tasty experience as others have had, but no dice. I'm glad I was able to check El Faro out, but wouldn't return. Plenty of seating inside, and there's plenty of street parking available. +cold burrito fillings +dried out tortillas +plenty of seating inside +plenty of street parking available

Burritos the size of a half loaf of bread…read more In looking around Brookfield for a place to eat at before we hit up Galloping Ghost Arcade, every online comment pointed to trying Taco Azteca. My dad was down for some tacos so we hit up Taco Azteca before we got to gaming. I actually drove by the place, missing the turn to get there due to the strange parking lot situation. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.

I cheated on El Farol with this closer place (just by two blocks) and it's been two days and those BGs are still beating me up. I swung in here after an insanely hectic week at work that was not gonna get better anytime soon. Utilizing the free night I may have for the next sixteen months, I was determined to hit up The Jug and needed food. Well, I thought for the sake of Yelping someplace new, I' d hit it. And now it's whooping me up hardcore. The beef tacos are small. Four bites worth of greasy meat that really didn't do it for me. Even with sour cream, avocado and lettuce. I moved on to the Widowmaker- the Chicken Burrito. I figured it out, Burritos are like penises. They come in many different sizes and there can be more than burrito that is pleasing. I found the Stumper. A hand and a half wide and only the size of my hand, this stomach destroyer looked impressive if taking the prior into account. That's where the fun ends. By the end of my fourth bite, a map of Hawaii was left on my tray and luckily not on me. The grease that spilled out was a warning sign that I chose to ignore. I continued with this super messy penisburrito. I had it finished in ten minutes and needed twenty napkins to wipe the destroyer off of my face. So what I have learned: I learned that when you find a place that serves an amazing burrito, at amazing hours, you don't cheat on 'er. No, you don't. Until then, find me curled up in bed, next to a picture of myself with an El Farol burrito.
