    Taco Dinner and Sol

A hidden gem in the Chicago 'burbs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this place far exceeded it. The atmosphere, the tables, the service, and of course the food! From the musical vibes, to the extra mile service --this spot left me with a lasting impression. It lifted and healed a tired spirit after walking the streets of Chicago. The tacos de asada and al pastor were perfection. Accompanied with an ice cold Sol, not much else you can ask for. I'm super appreciative of the food and service from this place, and will be back whenever in town.

    Chilaquiles Verdes

Food was amazing!! Came on a busy Sunday morning and had to wait for a bit, but the food was well worth it. The chilaquiles were crisp and soft, the salsa was so flavorful, rice and beans were on point. The pork taco they gave us was super flavorful with a bit of spice. Tortillas are homemade. Prices were very reasonable and service was great. We will be back!

Food was 10/10 if I could rate this high. Authentic delicious food. I had the huevos divorciados con bistec and it was the bomb, fresh hand made tortillas. Three kinds of salsas and pickled corrects. They offered an appetizer chicken soup very delicious too and hit the spot for a chilly day. The ambiance was non-stop People kept coming in. We will definitely coming back and I highly recommend it.

Best Mexican food that I've had in a long time. I ordered the combination dinner. It was amazing. Highly recommend.

Enthusiastic Yelp reviews drew us to ADM so it's appropriate that I add my voice to the chorus of fans. Both Henry and I inhaled the very delicious cecina enchiladas, accompanied by chips, salsas, and pickled carrots. We were served an amuse-bouche as soon as we were seated and a complimentary bowl of rice pudding at the meal's conclusion. Come here for excellent food and service at very reasonable prices!

    Steak milanesa torta

Me and a friend stopped by after 1pm on a Saturday. It was crowded but we did get a table. I don't get milanesa often because many times it's overcooked. Not here. Was very tender. Lots of sour cream, and comes with a side of fries which were really good too. Got a Jamaica for a drink and left very full. The carrots are a bonus. We didn't really have the tortillas, nothing wrong with them I just didn't want the filler. I should have turned them down but didn't realize we were getting chips. When we left at around 2 there were people waiting. Busy place.

Service 5 Stars So…read morelet me start by applauding the manager for outstanding customer service--1) The willingness to override a hostess who refused a request for three adult couples who in advance requested separate checks (clearly professionals not the types that haggle about tips--smh) , and 2) sending the magician Michael to our table after we ate for a demonstration of his tremendous talents. Kudos Ramon! I also acknowledge the tremendous service from our main waiter Jose. Atmosphere 5 Stars So we sat on the patio which was enclosed and heated with an outdoor propane heat lamp. IT WAS A PERFECT SETTING for our annual couples dinner. The music was not as loud as in the main dining room and it was more illuminated--exactly the atmosphere desired for conversation with friends while breaking bread. Food = PERFECTION! We started with three delicious appetizers - 1) Patatas Bravas: Spicy potato bites with creamy guajillo aioli. The potatoes were a 3 out of 10 on the heat meter, but the aioli had kick! 2) Guacamole: Onion, serrano, cilantro, lime juice, minced garlic - Topped with Pico De Gallo - Served with homemade chips. 3) Salsa Trio: Creamy Salsa Verde, Molcajete Salsa Roja, Pico de Gallo served with Homemade chips. One friend ordered the Baja Tacos - Creamy Coleslaw, Beer battered White fish, Chipotle Aioli with a side of Buttered White Rice. His plate was empty in no time and he expressed his pleasure with the dish. Two in our dinner party had the Salmon Al Carbon - 12Hour Marinated spice rub 8oz Salmon fillet al Carbon with a side of Buttered White Rice with the skin removed and crisped on the side. My wife who I expected would only eat a few bites actually consumed almost the entire piece of salmon, and my dear friend ate her entire dish! Another ordered the "Camarones A La Diabla" - 6 Jumbo Shrimp sauteed with minced garlic and Diablo Sauce served with a side of Buttered White Rice. Another empty plate. (There is a theme developing here). Finally, I had the "Chuletas De Cordero" - Lamb Chops Marinated With Herbs & Spices. Served Over Creamy Mashed Potato Puree, Alongside a delicious Chimichurri & Rich savory Gravy. I ate everything on that plate!!!! The chef was accommodating and added spinach to the plate. My friend's wife ordered a "Special" -- A Seafood Medley Pasta in a Marinara Sauce Shrimp, Calamari & Mussels if a rich pasta sauce with toasted baguettes prepared perfectly to order--I'm certain because my friend has a crustacean allergy so she ordered the dish without the shrimp and it was obvious when she didn't have an allergic reaction that the dish was freshly prepared and they didn't simply remove the shrimp. It also must have been delicious because the bowl was empty! She also ordered a side of Mexican Street Corn (Corn, butter, mayo, cotija chees, & chile powder). Yes there was room for desserts, so I ordered the Dessert Sampler for us to share - Tres Leches, a Delicate Layers Of Mexican Coffee Soaked Galletas Marias & Creamy Mascarpone; Tiramisu composed of Delicate Layers Of Mexican Coffee Soaked Galletas Marias & Creamy Mascarpone, and ordinarily a Creme Brûlée but they were out and substituted Churros-Freshly Fried, Rolled In Cinnamon Sugar Served With Dulce De Leche for the unavailable Creme Brûlée which was disappointing). My buddy l's wife had the Dessert Special -- Banana Bread Putting with caramel drizzle and vanilla bean ice cream. I had to taste all four desserts but couldn't pick a favorite because they were all EXCELLENT! 5 STAR EXPERIENCE IN THIS HIDDEN GEM!!!!

The ambience is great and so is the servers. The presentation was also pretty great. We started off with a nice drink. I got the strawberry kiss which and my husband had the espresso martini (both delicious!). For appetizers, we had calamari and ceviche. They were both good but I especially loved their calamari. For our main dish, I had birria tacos and my husband had the pasta and steak. I personally wasn't a huge fan of either one because I felt like they both lacked flavor. For me, the true star of the show was the desert trio! We had churro, tres leches, and banana pudding. It was amazing!! I feel like I would just go back for the dessert by itself lol. Overall, Mi Amor is worth trying out. The price point is a bit high but my husband and I thought it was a great "date night" restaurant for couples especially. Don't forget to try out dessert! (I can't stress that enough)

Delicious! A mildly spicy butter sauce on top. Yum! What we drank: -water (they offer only bottled- still or sparkling - no tap apparently) -lemonade - very good. Not too sweet. Decor: so adorable and pretty. Each table had a single tall candle for a nice ambiance. Seems like the place to be on weekends. Server: Eduardo - very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately, the way the rest of the service was handled made it nearly impossible for him to give us a good experience. This was actually the second time I've experienced the same issue here. The first time, the manager handled it well and even sent over drinks, which is why we decided to come back. We came for my birthday dinner, and after being seated we waited about 20 minutes with no greeting or service because the host never informed our server we were his table. Later, the host awkwardly dropped a "birthday menu" on the table after we had already ordered. The biggest issue was the timing of the food. Our entrees were brought out before our appetizers, and when we explained the mistake the food runner responded rudely instead of simply correcting it. While we were still eating our appetizers, they repeatedly tried to rush our entrees out even though we had barely started. At that point I spoke with the manager and explained that this exact issue had happened before and that it was making the experience feel rushed. She seemed very disengaged and didn't really offer a solution. Ironically, she later brought drinks to the table even though I had just explained that I was driving and didn't want any. What was most confusing is that the restaurant was very slow that evening, which made the constant rushing and multiple service mistakes even harder to understand. Our server remained apologetic and professional throughout, but unfortunately the overall experience and management response were extremely disappointing. Given that this is now the second time experiencing the same issues, I will not be returning. TERRIBLE
