Just discovered this little gem on a road trip back. Have been in Guistine and Santa Nella multiple time and just discovered this spot. Right behind the Subway, which I believe share ownership. They have a covered tent area and picnic tables to sit at, which has an inviting atmosphere. Spoke to a trucker there who told me he always stops here for meals. The price was good, $10.50 for a large grilled veggie burrito, has grilled green peppers and onion and a fun spicy kick, but not too much. The tortillas are fresh and the all ingredients looked fresh. Was very tasty, very good value, good price and nice people. I will stop here again

Just stopped here for lunch. Got the shrimp combo plate, and my mom got the chicken burrito. The food was really good and fresh and the salsa was nice and spicy. Loved the homemade tortillas. The lady that helped us was very friendly. I'd stop here again if I'm traveling by.

The Burrito pastor was filled with meat, beans, rice. I asked for "all" ( cilantro & onions ) with green salsa. It was large and the pastor was deliciously flavored and tender. I ordered a large horchata. As other reviewers mentioned, this is a good stop along the SoCal NorCal Interstate 5 freeway if a traveler is looking for tasty, made to order Mexican burritos. There is a great variety of meat selections on the menu. Since there are no prices listed, you will have to ask at the order window for that information if concerned about cost. I felt my order of a burrito & large horchata was an average cost for a food truck meal but this more tasty and larger than trucks I have ordered from in the San Gabriel Valley CA area and definitely better than the Mexican restaurants or food trucks at the Oakland, CA. Latin eateries.

This is located next to Subway behind another food truck. Theres a seating area under a tent next to the trailer where you order. 4.5 stars because I wish they would've added a little bit more salt/seasoning to the meat which I got was Cabeza. Overall great food and wonderful service.

Yum! Stopped of the highway for gas, and this truck is nestled in back by the subway. Quick service, good prices. I see they planted a lot of flowers and are making it look nice. Got the Al pastor tacos, and quesobirria. Great flavor! And HOMEMADE tortillas

Santa Nella is my usual stop during my SoCal-NorCal-SoCal drives. The Arco or the Loves gas station are my go-to's for refueling since they have the best price point. (Most if not all of the gas stations across the freeway tend to be way more, sometimes $1+/gallon!) It was way past the lunch hour by the time we got here. I told Hubbers there's a Mexican food truck nearby and that he might want to check it out. He did, but wasn't convinced. He peeked behind it and found this place instead. So after I did my gas run at Arco, I drove and parked behind the Subway. Hubbers knew what he wanted. I went for their shrimp burrito (no beans, no cilantro) and a small horchata. They have a nice covered seating area. A portable heater was even available for cold(er) days. It wasn't long before our food was ready at the pick-up window. SHRIMP BURRITO: As with most food trucks, these things tend to come though bigger than normal sizes. This was no exception: talk about quantity! No beans and no cilantro as requested, but there were no tomatoes either. I'm good with that, though. The less fillers, the better. The rice was cooked and seasoned nicely. There was a reasonable amount of onions which also added to flavor and texture. They were generous with the shrimp - cooked tender and seasoned well. The tortilla was soft and warm. I really liked it! HORCHATA: Delicious, I'll give it that, but $4 for a small cup mostly filled with ice? Hardly worth it. Making a mental note to get a drink at the ampm should I decide to come through again. FOOD: 5. Both for the shrimp burrito and the horchata. SERVICE: 3. Average at best. They skimped out on the salsa (they only gave us a teenee container of it - for a burrito and three tacos) but no issues giving us more when asked. And just a side note, I guess Hubbers and I were used to getting a side of chips and salsa with our orders from all other Mexican places we've been to. We were surprised we didn't get any here. Eh, not their thing, I guess....? VALUE: 3. The burrito was worth it, the horchata wasn't. PARKING: There's a private lot shared with others. Street parking also available. It will not be an issue around these digs. OVERALL: 3.5. Hubbers got 3 al pastor tacos and they were ON POINT! I might get this in burrito form next time I come through! A little better than average first run. It was great, can be better, but pretty good! Keeping them in the radar should I find myself around here again.

Quesobirria tacos are amazing and a must stop for those traveling on the I-5! I stop here every time I drive from SoCal to Norcal because the tacos are just that good. It is right next to a gas station so a perfect place to fill up gas and get a great lunch during a break from driving. The service is usually fast and a good price. The truck is located between the subway and gas station and there is a nice parking and seating are here too. As a birria taco expert I give the an 8 out of 10 on the birria taco scale and a 9.3/10 on the all food scale. Especially impressed they have radishes, consume, and lime for the taco and even sometimes more veggies on the side. Definitely worth a stop!

    Hilary R.

The quessabirrias here are fiiire!! I live in the Bay Area & everytime im in town I have to pass by at this spot! Tortillas are hand made & everything taste delicious! I'm a very picky person when it comes to buying horchata because I make really good home made horchata myself! Usually restaurants use the artificial one to make it but this one is not! It tasted homemade! This place is a must!

Ridiculously expensive for being in the middle of nowhere, and not in an expensive city. However, pretty good.

My son also specifically requested Alfredo so it's great that they have that on the kids menu! If you're tired of fast food, I highly recommend making this place your lunch or dinner stop. Food comes out fast and service is great. Highlight of our night was when staff handed my kids a small cup of koi food so we could feed the fish before making our way home. The kids really enjoyed that. We will be making this our pit stop coming home from SoCal every time from now on.

This visit happened to fall on Mother's Day weekend. We had reservations for both Saturday and Sunday, but we stopped in on Saturday to cancel that day's reservation since we'd already eaten lunch and knew we wouldn't be hungry by dinnertime. On Sunday, when we checked in for our reservation, I was impressed -- the hostess remembered us by name, which says a lot considering how many guests come through the restaurant. We were seated, and soon after we were greeted by Eleanor, our server. She was warm, attentive, and never made us feel pressured, which was a huge improvement from a previous visit. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol). She also gave an honest answer when I asked whether the vegetables used at dinner come from their greenhouse. The service felt genuine, and the food was excellent -- a much better experience than my last review. This visit was absolutely worth the return. Kudos to Eleanor and the Kitchen at The Mission.

I love this restaurant, This is Southwest cuisine done to perfection. Think Chevy's , but with an extensive menu and food that is actually really good. There was nothing I would change about my visit tonight- it was memorable and fulfilling. For starters , we ordered the Margherita pizza. Not quite Southwest , but it works - trust me! The pizza is wood-fired! The cheese , tomatoes and basil are fresh. Oh , and the tomato sauce they use is just right. Seriously, the pizza here rivals some pizza that I have tried at Italian restaurants. I can't wait to try more pizza creations. For my entree, I opted for the chile verde enchiladas covered in a smooth tomatillo sauce. This enchilada sauce was so tangy and the pico de gallo and guacamole topped them off perfectly. The entree comes with Spanish rice and charro beans. My wife opted for the ribeye steak fajitas , and they were fantastic. The steak was marinated well and it was tender. The only thing that could have made this dish better would be homemade tortillas . Espana's serves up high quality food. Everything that I have tried so far has been phenomenal. The service that we receive is always prompt and friendly , and the food comes out fast -but not too fast. Tonight's meal was a five star experience. Please look at the colorful menu items below and make it a point to stop in and try for yourself.
