One of the best quesabirria tacos I've had! The tacos were packed with flavor, the consommé was delicious, and everything tasted fresh. The customer service was excellent--the ladies were very sweet and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to add a few more tables and improve the lighting in the seating area, as it can be a little dark. Stopped here for gas and food, and my friend recommended this place and said they have the best tacos around. It's $3 for a regular taco and $4 for taco supreme. The prices are pretty good. Saw people placing orders at this food truck while making a stop for gas, so decided to give the place a try too. I ordered the quesadilla with lengua. The quesadilla was delicious and flavorful, especially with the salsa on the side. I thought the quesadilla portion was worth the price. The filling ratio was slightly more on the cheesy side. I had some lengua with each bite, but wished there was a bit more. Unlike what some of the menu photos (either from here or Google Reviews) say, they didn't charge extra for lengua! If you're looking for incredible Mexican food on the go, this little food truck is an absolute gem. We happened to stumble upon it while driving through, and I'm so glad we did. The couple running it were genuinely some of the sweetest people--so welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. The food itself was amazing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The tacos, burritos, and quesadillas were all delicious--honestly some of the best we've had. Was too hungry to take pictures of the food. There's a small seating area, but not much, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. Still, it's 100% worth the stop. Only downside? We don't live nearby, because I'd be here all the time. Al pastor was just "ok" My fruit drink was the best. Don't know what the big HYPE is about this place. Why, why, why would you ever grab generic fast food when, for about the same price, you get local home cookin with a great story to boot?! This amazing food truck is located every day at the edge of the Shell Gas Station (closed Tue), right off of the I-5. Son (Ivan) and his mom started the business barely three years ago, after Ivan survived a terrible car accident his senior year in high school. As he candidly shares his story, he slammed into a ditch after taking a turn too fast. He speaks honestly and with a heavy dose of reflective regret about being foolish in his youth, one where he lost an arm and tore both knees. His yearlong recovery derailed his original ambition but opened the door to starting a food truck with his mother and aunt. A new ambition of bringing real, home cooking to central Calif. My father always said (and I always resisted accepting) that one closed door will lead to two new doors. Ivan agreed that nowhere did that adage turn out more true than here. As a Tucsonan (the first UNESCO designated city of gastronomy in all the U.S.) I have had the honor of sampling many an outstanding taco. Ivan did not disappoint. I'm a fan of the unusual (think Lengua and Cabeza). At Ivan's urging, we tried three verities: 4 quesebirria (4$ each and typically my fav), 2 pastor (~$3), and 2 cabeza (~$3). All were terrific but the quesabirria and cabeza were exquisite. I would not hesitate to get all cabeza next time, just for its singularity, and also try the lengua and asada! We were on a road trip and had plenty of drinks in our cooler but they offer agua frescas for $4 each... next time! With only one order ahead of us, our taco plates were ready in less than 10 minutes. There is parking in the Shell lot for 3-4 cars. A small bar/counter attached to the food truck with stools and a picnic table off to the right side accommodate diners. Cash is king (there is a 4% service fee for credit cards). read more

I've only got this truck once but oh my! Heading south to San Diego in the early afternoon, got hungry and needed gas. A Quick Look on Yelp and La Jalisciense got the bill. Stopped off tab the gas station the truck sits at, off I-5, grabbed a drink she's paid for gas, then walked over and put my order in. Your standard, simple Mexican menu; tacos, tortes, quesadillas, nachos but It was the burritos that caught my eye. Ordered a carne asada supreme burrito. A few minutes later I was on my way south. This burrito was huge and paid about $10-11 for it. The favor was excellent! Lots of meat to go with the rice and beans but it was the salsa that put this gem over the edge for me. They offer all the things: quesadillas, tacos, taco plates, burritos, quesabirria, etc. I ordered the taco plate (two carne asada and al pastor) with everything which came with onions, cilantro, pickled carrots and cucumber, and a jalapeño. It was devoured! The seasoning/flavor was perfection! The quesadilla comes with all the things too, but you can ask for just meat and cheese and it is equally as good. Huge portion too!
