Still amazing after all these years, but it's gotten wayyyy too spicy. Got the shrimp torta (+$2) and my partner got the quesabirrias and we both agree it's so spicy it hurts, but flavors are still so good. If you have zero spice tolerance like me, get a milkshake from the ARCO.

I am so fond of going on this place especially when heading to Los Angeles, it's by 1-5 south going 33 east you will never miss it. This food truck has a wide varieties of distinct customers like me who love to stop by here for a bite! As usual my order is always the super burrito with carne asada. I tried their Birria soup, it's so good! They are situated by the gas station so parking is no problem. So come and enjoy the outdoor dine-in like myself!

Had the opportunity to stop by this place a couple weeks ago. I been meaning to write something for their outstanding customer service and good food. I ordered the quessaberria plate. It was delicious. Miguel and Emmanuel were super cool and made the experience worthy of the stop. Very cool people.

Queso birria tacos. 8/10 just a little more of seasoning in the meat, but the meat was soft and juicy. It was not bad.

Tacos are super good 8.9/10 I wish I got green salsa but it's cool. The food truck had seats available to seat down and eat. Definitely stop here if I'm this area for gas. Right on the side of arco gas station.

Located in the parking lot of Arco, very easy to find. Chicken Quesadilla & Chicken taco (with only chicken & cheese) for kids were tasty. (The quesadilla was cut up in to cubes, I'm assuming they saw our kids and figured it'll be easier for them to eat that way. Idk but was very nice of them to do.) The other plate was a variety of meats and it was good, some meats were kind of bland that needed some seasoning imo because we like to taste the meats and not it being drenched with salsa. Overall great service and food. 4.5 stars.

We stopped here or get gas and took a chance with this food truck. So glad I did. The carne asada burrito was very flavorful. The cashier was very polite and sweet. Food came out surprisingly really fast! faster than most fast food places now a days.

Stopped by this taco truck when we had to stop and get gas for a road trip. The workers were friendly and I ordered three carne asada tacos. The wait wasn't long at all and there is a dining area covered by a canopy. Served on a paper plate, I thought it was a bit odd as I was expecting a box or some sort to hold my food. But, the tacos were extremely tasty. Very well seasoned, and they do not skimp you on the amount of meat. If I am back in the area for gas, this is definitely a place I will be looking for!

One of the best quesabirria tacos I've had. We stopped by on a drive back up to northern California and happened upon this food truck. I started off just buying one quesabirria taco to try and ended up SPRINTING back to order another. It was affordable, cheesey, filled with delicious meat, and had a really good depth of flavor. My order didn't come with consume, but would definitely need to stop here again to try it with my future birria orders!

Stopped at this food truck (while getting gas) on our way down to San Miguel and I'm so glad I did! I ordered two quesabirria tacos (about $11) from the friendly lady at the window. The food was ready in around 5 minutes, which was way faster than expected. It was also fantastic - flavorful meat, perfectly cheesy tacos with tasty grilled onions on the side. They didn't come with consommé, but honestly it wasn't even necessary. I thought about going back for a third taco, but they were pretty filling. Would happily eat here again!

Must of drove past this truck a few dozen times. My wife and I were looking for a early lunch and there was no line. Perfect. I had a chorizo burrito and my wife ordered a ala mexicana one. Both were rolled tight as not to slop all over. Both were moist and fresh tasting, full of good flavor. The whole beans were welcome instead of potatoes. All said and done a couple of good burritos. Nice size for seven bucks. So there are a few of the same trucks around the area. This one is buy Dennys and Rotten Robbie's. Truck 4. Last words... I'll be stopping a bye.

Yum yum. I got super burrito de asada and the asada was so flavorful and juicy. Will stop by again for sure. Also one of the best bands stopped by to eat.

I didn't realize the pea soup was vegan. It was smoky and flavorful…read more My meatloaf plate was pretty good. I think I liked the fried chicken a little better. My plate had a Fresh side of veggies and homemade gravy. Large portions, I couldn't finish my food. Cute souvenir shop, you can even buy cans of Andersen pea soup. Atom you would have liked the capybara or Xololotl plushy.

With as many signs on the freeways as Andersen's has in California promoting their famous split pea…read moresoup, one would think they would be prevalent everywhere. In reality, there are/were only two: the original location (and now closed since 2024) in Buellton and this location in Santa Nella. It turned out that we needed to take a break and gas up around lunchtime very close by, so decided to stop in for lunch. It ended up being OK. This second location has been open since 1976 and is located in a huge building with tons of seating and a large retail space. It has a separate downstairs dining room (available if your party is large), a large bar in the back (open during lunch though only one person was in there), and an upstairs not accessible during lunchtime. We came at exactly 11:00 and they had begun serving lunch. We were led to our seats, and someone came by with water. There seemed to be some confusion on who was supposed to serve us, and we were ignored for a while, even as other folks were being seated. Finally, a waitress came back (guessing she wasn't our original one, but had to pivot) and took our order. Not particularly friendly in the beginning (ended up being talkative at the end as my wife had struck up a conversation), but got our order correct. The food came out soon after, and it was served all together and was still warm when we got them. My wife and I have been to the Andersen's in Buellton and had slightly different memories of how good the split pea soup was. We ordered a cup ($6.99), and didn't even have to tell the waitress what kind of soup we wanted. The soup was good for the first couple spoonful, but didn't end up finishing it; glad we ordered a small cup. My wife and her mom split a Teriyaki Chicken dinner ($21.50) and they liked it: nothing fancy, just one chicken breast grilled and topped with bottled teriyaki sauce and a pineapple slice. I got the Danish Style Meatloaf ($21.99, was planning to share with my wife) and it seemed well made with generous portions, but neither of us liked it (the pork/beef mixture with breadcrumbs was very finely ground and reminded me of a mealy German sausage without the casing). Both the soup and meatloaf would have been good as small samples from a buffet while grazing, but are difficult as a main course for our taste. Both plates came with a from-frozen vegetable medley (broccoli, carrots, and zucchini), along with a rice pilaf for the chicken plate. We did buy some trinkets at the gift shop. I wanted to get a Danish, but ended up sharing a Cinnamon Crisp, a giant cookie covered in cinnamon sugar. It was really good, definitely worth the $5.50 price.
