    SUPER BURRITO?!?!
 I think not!!!
    Don S.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place! They have absolutely no consistency. I have been coming here for years and it has finally come to this. I WILL NEVER BE BACK! As you will see in the picture, it is absolutely unacceptable to serve food the way they choose to. And it is obviously a choice! A super burrito that is only rice?!? Who does that?!?!? I went back and demanded my money back. $15 for a tortilla full of rice?!? What a joke! If I could give Zero stars, I would without hesitation! Nothing SUPER about El Gran Amigo! Just SUPER DISAPPOINTING!!

Super chicken burrito. It doesn't have any requested guacamole.

Check your order! This is not my first time going to this spot nor is this the only time they have dropped the ball. Ordered a super chicken baby burrito, super chicken burrito, and a wet chicken burrito. They didn't put the guacamole on all of them. Luckily I had some avocado at the house. This place used to be on point, guess not anymore. The number of customers complaining about the same issue has me wonder if they are doing this on purpose to save money. Note: might be better to tell them to add additional ingredients on the side to ensure a correct order

"Veggie burrito"......but with a chile relleno inside instead of lettuce, guacamole, etc? Not sure what happened here.

They always get my order wrong. There's definitely a language barrier when placing an order on the phone, and it presents in frequent wrong orders. Sometimes items are missing or incorrect (a taco instead of a plate, etc). This last time I ordered a veggie burrito--as they have on their menu--with no sour cream. Got a burrito with a chile relleno inside. I don't even know how that happened. My husband loves this place and I love their Pacifica location (the guy there is super nice and never messes up my order). But jury has been out for a long time for me and this location.

A hidden gem. Fast and friendly service. The portions were huge and the food was great.

My go-to taqueria. We stop here most times we walk/hike in Moss Beach. Super carne asada quesadilla and side of refried beans is what my wife and I share for lunch. Nice that they recently installed a wind and sun block for outdoor eating. Even when sunny the coastside is generally cool due to wind. Love this place!

Oh no! I can no longer be able to support this local business even though I really want to see it thrive! I have been here many time years before and always appreciate the service and the food. Unfortunately, I will not return as this business keeps failing me. My super burrito was terrible! There was no meat even though I ordered steaks! My burrito was soaking in bean juice! It's terribly disgusting and disappointing! I hope the owner will read my review and try to improve his service and food quality before other locals will not order food from this El Gran Amigo!

The big sign out front makes it easy for you to identify it from Highway 1, even if you're speeding.

Okay, I don't want to take the time to spell out the finer details of a good taco stand. I wouldn't want to indignify you. Frankly, if you're from California, you know Mexican food and if you don't, were you held hostage in a basement most of your life? Get outta here. You know what good Mexican food is and this place is good. And the bonus part of this place is, it's right off Highway 1, there's lots of parking, it's totally informal, just have clothes on and they'll serve you. Capeesh? Now go on and have a nice California day. :-)

The best tacos in HMB! I drive past this all the time and decided to try it to see what the hype was about. I got the regular and super beef tacos and they were hitters!! Their meats are well seasoned and the salsa is the perfect level of spicy. I recommend calling ahead to place and order because they're popular and the wait can be long sometimes. | IG: Smackinfood

Great food that will fill your belly! Awesome fish tacos! "super" version means that might be the only meal you eat that day! No frills establishment that does it's job great... making great Mexican food!

15 bucks for basically a baby burrito. Go to Pacifica taqueria if you can.. much better and cheaper, Plus not stingy on the chips and salsa.

Some of the hot dishes can take a bit longer, but it's clearly freshly fried and always delicious so it's worth the minor wait. Lots of picnic benches in front of the food truck. Chicharron is chunks of crispy fried pork belly - great when you want some fatty porky indulgence. The red onions pair perfectly to cut through the richness, and the Peruvian corn nuts are a fun addition! Pollo Peruana is stewed chicken thighs. Tender and fell off the bone, but could've used a bit more salt. Still tasty with a nice side salad. Lechonada peruana is stewed pork belly chunks. Fatty juicy tender, and the pork comes on a bed of saucy fries for extra heft. I like to get it with extra salad instead of rice. Super good. I really need to come by on a weekend to try the anticuchos!

We tried the famous fish and chips, garlic bread with crab meat and topped with cheese and also the calamari. The fish and Chips you can choose cold slaw or French fries. We opted for the French fries. The fish is so juicy and fresh. One order comes with 4 pieces of fish and a good amount of French fries. They garlic bread with crab and toasted with cheese was really flavorful. It has a relatively decent amount of crab meat. It's fresh crab meat and it's not to salty of fishy like some places. The calamari are small squid pieces but fried to perfection. Not overly seasoned or oily. The tartar sauce was amazing with every item we ordered. Will definitely come back again for the fish and chips

The dine-in line was a 2-hour wait when we arrived and had closed for the day by the time we left. In general, I'm not the type of person to wait for food no matter how good it is, and unfortunately I didn't think Barbara's Fishtrap was anything too special. My sister and I shared a mini fish-trap combo, Caesar salad, and a cup of soup-- we had almost 30% leftover. The variety of seafood in the combo is really nice! But I thought the breading was soggy and in general just really needed the sauce for a punch of flavor. The fried zucchini was by far the best thing we ate (it was seriously to-die for), which feels wrong for a seafood combo. :P Service was friendly and were trying their best to help everyone, but wow we could tell they were super overwhelmed. :( Would not come back but glad I tried it, especially with such a neighborhood hype around this place!

I'm sure my nostalgia plays a part in this low rating but Taqueria Pacifica doesn't stand out the same way El Grano De Oro did... Too bad. Service is standard. Nothing special. Food is ready relatively quick, so if you order to-go... get there early! The ambiance is very much a to-go vibe even though there is a plethora of indoor seating as well as a picnic table for seating outside. Tacos are pretty good here, but I did find bits of shrimp in my al pastor! I don't think I'll be coming back here unless I need to refill my water bottle.
