We come here all the time, and it never disappoints. The staff are always so kind and welcoming, and you can tell they care about the food they're making. Every bite feels fresh and made with love. The atmosphere is great too, which makes it an easy spot to relax and enjoy a good meal.

Like not even ranch, salsa & dipping in chicken broth when I got home could aide in the quality of their carne asada. Upon trying their Lengua & chicken, not much better. I had an indigestible HARD piece of something (plastic?) in my burrito once. It's not like I just gave this taqueria a one and done review, I've been a customer since 2015. And let me tell you, 2015-2022 they were banger!! Salsa bar was amazing. Now I'm pretty sure they charge you per salsa container. I'm sure my nostalgia plays a part in this low rating but Taqueria Pacifica doesn't stand out the same way El Grano De Oro did... Too bad. Service is standard. Nothing special. Food is ready relatively quick, so if you order to-go... get there early! The ambiance is very much a to-go vibe even though there is a plethora of indoor seating as well as a picnic table for seating outside. Tacos are pretty good here, but I did find bits of shrimp in my al pastor! I don't think I'll be coming back here unless I need to refill my water bottle.

Is there a solid Taqueria in Top of the Hill Daly City? Yes. Yes there is. Los Cuernos is an…read moreunassuming taqueria which after walking in, you'll discover it actually has a large dining area and an extensive menu of Mexican Classics. I visited recently to try their super breakfast burrito. The couple working here are extremely friendly and hard working people. So how was my burrito? It was ginormous, one of the biggest burritos I've seen in a long time. It was well balanced and all the ingredients were portioned properly. Maybe a little more meat would have been nice though. Overall a very solid Mexican spot in Daly City.

Not welcoming, not friendly, just straight attitude. That already set the tone. Now let's talk tacos. I'm from LA, so when it comes to street tacos, I know what's up. $5.99 for a regular street taco?? And $7.99 for lengua?? Be serious. That's gourmet pricing without gourmet quality. Especially after seeing their old menu prices went from $2.99 to $3.50 to $3.99... and now suddenly almost $6? That price evolution is wild. Respect to the man cooking, he was actually very nice. But kindness alone doesn't justify those prices. The quality just didn't match what they're charging. Inflation is real, but so is value. And this wasn't it.

My boyfriend even said, "Hi," to the guy at the register, and he never responded. When I was placing my order, I wanted to make sure he heard me correctly, so I repeated part of it. Instead of answering politely, he responded with, "Yeah, yeah, you'll see it on the screen," in a rude, dismissive tone that made us feel like he was just trying to rush us. Our food came out quickly, which was probably the only positive besides the michelada. The tacos were also disappointing. The photos show them being served on yellow corn tortillas, but ours came on white tortillas. I didn't complain because I figured they'd still taste good, but they had almost no flavor at all. My boyfriend ordered a shrimp cocktail, and it was just as bland. Between the two of us, we spent around $50, and it honestly felt like money wasted. The michelada was the only thing we actually enjoyed. As someone who loves supporting Mexican-owned businesses, this experience was really disappointing. Great service and flavorful food are what keep people coming back, and unfortunately this place missed the mark on both. I hope they improve because I don't see myself returning.
