    Pupusasa de Pollo Platano Madura

This is a hidden gem! We went in and quickly grabbed a table in such a busy area! I came in wanting pupusas but decided to order a quesadilla and they quickly let me know they could not make the quesadillas. I was in a rush and knew they would have great pupusas and I was not disappointed. These were the best pupusas I've ever had ! Realising they were also only $2.50, allowed my choice to be done quickly! I wasn't starving so 2 filled me up. They estimated it would take 15 minutes to cook and it took a little under that. They do speak Spanish so if you don't speak Spanish you might have to look up photos & point at the menu but it is worth it! Pro tip: add the sauce on the table that looks like ketchup to your pupusas.

Pupusas was on point & the wait wasn't that bad waitress was on point with taking orders also

Pupusas was on point & the wait wasn't so bad, waitress was quick with taking orders; I'll be back to stay & eat

    Food

Food wasn't worth it! A LIT OF BIT OF RICE AND THE MEAT WASNT VERY TASTY....it don't even look like a traditional carne asada. Only good thing about this plate was the chimol and the orchata.

    Delicious pupusas

Terrific little shop in the Heights, friendly staff and delicious pupusas. Highly recommend!

This place is very hard to miss, it's in between stores in Washington Heights. It was very awkward walking in, it's extremely dark and the counter was filled with men who all stopped what they were doing and gawked. The waitress helped me out quickly and they continued to stare....I ordered 2 chicken pupusas and a chicken tamale. Cheap eats every item was about $2.50. The pupusas were okay, the cabbage gives it an extra touch. The tamale was a bit too gooey for me. I've had better. I'll only go back if I'm not by myself.

The pupusas are great. But the tamales are on another level. There's a major difference amongst tamale styles. If I had to create a tamale binary it'd be the Mexican ones on one side and Nicaraguan on the other. Salvadorian tamales are a happy medium.

    Pupusas to go.

This is an authentic Salvadorian restaurant. Pupusas are deelish. They also deliver which is great. When I ordered orange juice the lady proceeded to make it fresh! You can't beat this service.

They have revueltas and they're good and cheesy! They give you plenty of repollo, more than you need. Super friendly service too.

Salvatoria Kitchen and Bar is a great option if you're looking for a sit-down spot for pupusas. I…read morewas pleasantly surprised that the pupusas were still reasonably priced for a full-service restaurant and bar, at around $4 each. They offer a good variety of fillings. My favorite was the jalapeño and cheese, which have a nice kick to them. The yuca frita was crispy but not oily, and made for a great appetizer before the pupusas. We came during happy hour and took advantage of the drink specials. The red sangria and margaritas were only $8 a glass and they were both strong and tasty, though I preferred the sangria slightly more. The music at Salvatoria was great and made for a nice atmosphere, with current Latino hits playing in the background. My only note, and it's minor, is that the curtido wasn't as good as I've had at other places. They do give you a good amount, but it lacked some of the crunch and acidity that a great curtido needs to balance out the pupusas. Overall, Salvatoria Kitchen and Bar delivers on food, value, and atmosphere. The bill for four pupusas, two drinks, and an order of yuca frita came out to just $45 before tip.

I was already kind of full but the entrees we got were also very delicious. I wish I knew how to cook fish or chicken that juicy but keeping the outside crunchy-crispy. 10/10 for all the food. Idk why but the music was so upbeat and it kept me feel rushed for some reason but that might be just me! Haha The service was great, the water kept getting filled and they were very attentive. Would definitely come back again!
