Made an appointment with Norma last week to touch up some natural highlights . During consult I…read moretold Norma my long hair is very fragile and you have to baby it. I told her I usually do a few foils on the crown , a couple on the side and hand paint the bangs. I thought she understood , she turned me away from the mirror the whole time, that should of been my first red flag but she was very sweet so I said nothing. She ended up baby lighting my entire head which is if you don't know very thin slices of highlights back to back giving appearance of all over one color with a little dimension. I had also said in consult I do my hair the way I do so I don't have a solid line of demarcation as it grows out. I guess she didn't understand any of this . She was very rough with my fragile hair and ripped through it with a weaving comb from top to bottom, everyone knows you detangle from bottom and work your way up. I could hear my hair snapping off , again I was turned away from mirror so I didn't see how much hair was on comb. I could tell my hair was damaged immediately just by how tangled it was. She left the bleach on way way to long for fine fragile hair!!!! She over processed and then tried to correct with a toner that left my ends greenish gray and my roots metallic yellow. My hair is permanently damaged from the bleach, I have breakage at the root , hairs that are shriveled up because they are fried, and the cuticles on my hair shaft are so blown out my hair is catching and tangling on it self . I have very slow growing hair that I trim and deep condition regularly. Everyone loved my hair and I got compliments from strangers all the time . Now my hair will have to be totally cut off . I contacted Norma and she offered to tone it next day and completely disregarded the fact that i said it was damaged and fried, didn't address bleach damage at all!! Toners wash out but over processing with bleach has permanently damage my once pretty hair. It's going to take like 5-10 years to grow it back because my hair is very slow growing. I would never go back and I don't recommend based on how she responded to my hair being completely fried. It's been a week and I'm more upset every day and the damaged hair keeps breaking off. I will post a before picture of my hair and 2 after pictures and you can be the judge. I was charged $245 . I think a full refund is very least she should do.
