A must visit after a Long Beach day! The parking is minimal, however it is worth the wait. The menu is simple, burger and fries. I love how they put all the burger toppings on the side and don't let the size deceive you, these little burgers are very filling. We always make sure we stop when we are in San Juan.

Blue cheese burger + sweet potato fries for the win True classic local spot: always lines out the door for late night and for good reason. Their mini burgers and fries are solid and really inexpensive for the quality!

Came here by default when a spot we wanted to check out looked too iffy and didn't have an item we came there for. My sister suggested this classic spot, it's been around for decades and still has that old school aesthetic. You can really tell why it's lasted so many years. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and made with great quality meat. The yuca fries were perfectly crispy. The service was friendly. Everything was fresh. Overall, it's a great last minute casual spot that will satisfy.

The place where I am staying recommended I check this restaurant out. You can tell it's a staple and has a lot of history. Very much a local scene. The burgers are thick and round, almost like a golf ball, juicy, good char grill, thick slice of melted cheese. I ordered my burger with bacon. Once I stacked everything, I was wondering how I was gonna eat it, lol. It was delish. Service was welcoming and nice. I was hesitant to go inside but there was a guy working and he opened the door to invite me in. So I checked it out! Atmosphere is modest and friendly. Good salsa music was playing and people were singing along. Cool vibes. My burger was hot, fresh with good flavor. The burger and fries hit the spot.

Was in town for the day while on a cruise and we had walked for miles. Looking for a place to sit down for lunch, we came by here and saw how busy it was and also how many reviews it had. It seemed like a local place with a few tourists. They let us in the front and directed us to sit at a table in the back. It took some time for the waitress to come but once she did things moved more quickly. Fries came out first and then the burgers. All told, two burgers, fries and two beers with a tip was about $26. Stop by sometime!

Very nice Beachside restaurant. Service was great. The burgers (golf ball size ) were different but I would say average for Beachside restaurant. Onion rings were good. Everybody liked the hotdogs

Listen the guy flipping the burgers in the back is A1 w/ me! Every time I'm in town I check this famous spot out! & let me tell you It never disappoints! I ordered a cheeseburger medium rare w/ only American cheese & extra pickles on the side(hey I love them on the side to munch on w/ every bite instead of in the burger),yuca fries, & a vanilla flan for dessert. The waitress was friendly & helped me brush up on my Spanish! My burger was so juicy I needed a napkin for my napkin. The bun was soft but not soggy! Every bite had me doing the happy food dance(happy, happy, joy, joy)I swear I don't do in public but I sure did. The pickles were crunchy & sour enough to make me pucker. I love my pickles sour! The yuca fries were crispy, hot, & fluffy in the middle. The flan had the right amount of sweetness, vanilla, & creaminess! The consistency was firm but jiggly @ the same time. Inside & outside already had the Christmas decor going on. Christmas is celebrated starting Nov.1st in PR! It's a huge deal! This year marks their 60th anniversary! This place is a true staple in the neighborhood! Here's to many more years to come of delicious, scrumptious, tasty food!

After a long day at the beach, this is the burger spot to crush that appetite. It's always busy (because it's good), serving up tasty burgers, hot dogs, and quick service. Some people complain about the service, but let's be real--it's packed for a reason, and the staff keeps things moving. If you're looking for lightning-fast, maybe the golden arches are more your speed. Otherwise, grab a seat and enjoy a real burger.

This was a great place to go after the beach since it's within walking distance. The food here is super cheap and came out quick. It was very busy, so our server wasn't as attentive but we weren't in any rush. Overall, great quality for the value.

Cheese burger, looks small but filling!

We loved coming here! Our Uber driver recommended it as the oldest burger joint on the island, so we had to try! It's nothing fancy but it serves up some delicious foods! You walk in find a table , a server comes over and takes your order, they offer burgers, fries, onion rings, drinks...I feel like we got everything lol Food came out fast, the burgers look small but they are more like a meatball, and very tasty! All of us enjoyed our lunch here! Especially with a cold beer cause no ac in restaurant. And prices were great for 4 people bill was like $50

Very efficient and fast service, limited menu but the food is yummy, a must stop if you are in the area and very affordable prices.

We were greeted, seated inside, and our order was taken with no issues. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill and became one of the most unsanitary restaurant experiences I've ever witnessed. While we were waiting on our food, a man walked in with a dog. It was obvious the staff knew him because several employees immediately started interacting with the dog. The first thing I noticed was our waitress using both of her hands to pet the dog while the dog repeatedly licked her hands. In my mind, I thought surely she would go wash or sanitize her hands afterward. Instead, she proceeded directly toward the kitchen area and started preparing the condiments for our burgers without washing or sanitizing her hands at all. She then brought those condiments directly to our table. At that point, I politely told her she needed to wash her hands and that we no longer wanted the condiments. She walked away to the back, but the situation only got worse from there. The dog was approximately one foot away from our table the entire time. Personally, I do not believe dogs belong inside restaurants, especially around food preparation areas. Dogs carry germs, and anyone who owns dogs knows one of the first things they do when greeting other dogs is sniff each other's private areas. Watching staff pet the dog and immediately return to handling food and kitchen items without washing their hands was honestly disgusting. As we waited for the manager, another employee came up and allowed the dog to lick all over his hands. Right after that, he proceeded directly into the kitchen area to continue cooking food -- again, no hand washing, no sanitizer, nothing. We watched at least three more employees interact with the dog and only one person actually washed their hands afterward. When the manager finally came over, I explained exactly what had happened and asked him if he truly believed this was sanitary. His response was basically that dogs are welcome in the establishment and that he would "tell the staff to wash their hands." His attitude came across very dismissive, like he really didn't care about the seriousness of the situation. At that point, I asked for the bill for our drinks because there was absolutely no way I was going to eat food from an establishment operating like that. To make matters even worse, while we were paying, the man with the dog proceeded to take the dog toward the back near the kitchen area. Completely unacceptable and unsanitary. I understand some places are dog-friendly, but there still has to be health standards and proper hygiene when employees are handling food. Watching staff pet and get licked by a dog and then immediately touch food items and kitchen equipment without washing their hands ruined the entire experience for me. I will definitely not be returning.

The sign out front said they had empanadas for about $3. We were looking for good food at a non-touristy price, and La Rubia delivered! We ordered four empanadas for our party of four to start: pork, chicken, crab, and lobster. Pork and lobster were hands down the best. The pastry was delicious! We then ordered three more (we were hungry!). Two more pork, one with spinach, mushrooms, and feta. That one was the best of all! They ran out of lobster, or we would have ordered more of those. With seven empanadas, two beers, and two pepsis, the bill came to $40. Not bad. We left full. They also have a huge selection of craft beers. I must also mention their homemade hot sauce. Spicy, yet sweet. I maybe could have had it straight from the bottle. If you are wandering around old San Juan, stop in. You won't regret it!
