This has been a family favorite for years. The new paint and lights are a lovely update adding to the fresh, delicious food and very friendly service. At least 3 different people working the floor tonight stopped by our table to refresh our drinks, refresh our chips or check on how our food was. The food portions are huge and everything is delicious!! Sopes are my favorite and being able to chose 3 different meats for my 3 Sopes is always fun! A beef, a chicken, and a pork carnitas for me.! The Mexican tacos are delicious - your choice of meats and fair pricing means you can order a great variety!

They serve food and it seems clean. I ordered a torta (Mexican sandwich). It had 1 piece of super thin and tough meet, not cooked asada. Not much flavor either. French fries on the side. Asked how I liked it and I told the truth. I didn't feel the waitress cared much. Anyway, I won't be back. When a restaurant just goes the extra mile, success is around the corner. Also overpriced

You know what?! This was a good experience and I see no reason to not get five stars. It's super hard to find good Mexican food in this area as most restaurants I've noticed take shortcuts and use cheaper ingredients, the flavor just isn't there. From the staff, to the food to the drinks everything was great. Orlando and Veronica manager the bar and entire restaurant but no one was left waiting for anything. They were on point and on time. I'm usually a little reluctant to get a house margarita because typically they use cheap out of the bottle sour mix and I can't stand it. They make their sour mix in house daily and it is absolutely delicious. At 2:00 you even get two for one. Perfectly balanced. Oh and the michelitos they were making looked amazing! I had the shredded chicken chimichanga which is enough to feed an army so obviously I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. They even have hot sauce and even hotter sauce which is just to my liking, just ask. They're not cutting corners here. Good authentic Mexican food I can't wait to return.

This is the El Pastor Huarache plate. Really good!

Casa Tina: I Came for Tacos, Left Questioning My Life Choices (in a good way)…read more Let me just say this--Casa Tina is not a restaurant... it's a spiritual journey with chips and salsa as your guide. We sat down and within seconds, chips and salsa hit the table like they were on a mission. Not just any salsa--this stuff tasted like someone's abuela personally supervised the tomatoes. I blacked out for a bit and came to... basket empty. Respect. We ordered like we had zero self-control: Queso Fundido - melted cheese with chorizo?? I would like to formally apologize to my arteries. Worth it. Casa Ceviche - fresh, bright, and made me feel like I suddenly understood the ocean Yucca Fries - crispy, golden, and honestly... why are regular fries even trying anymore? Then the mains came out and everything got serious. I had enchiladas (don't ask which ones, I was emotionally overwhelmed), and they were covered in a sauce so good I considered asking for a side of it to take home and bathe in. Someone else got the Mole Poblano, and I'm pretty sure I watched them have a full spiritual awakening mid-bite. Like... eyes closed, head tilted, rethinking life decisions. Another hero at the table ordered Tacos de Birria, dipped them in consommé like a seasoned professional, and I immediately knew I've been eating tacos wrong my entire life. Also--whoever invented the option to mix and match everything on this menu clearly woke up and chose chaos (the best kind). You want beef, chicken, jackfruit, shrimp, AND portobello? Go off. Live your truth. The vibe? Colorful, chill, and feels like a place where you accidentally stay for 3 hours because you ordered "just one more thing" 7 times. Service? Incredible. The staff somehow knew exactly when we needed more chips, more drinks, and more emotional support. Dessert? Yeah... we didn't need it. We got it anyway. Fried Ice Cream - illegal levels of delicious Churros - I would fight someone over these and I'm not proud of it AI Review Summary (but honest): Food: Ridiculously good, borderline life-changing Portions: Generous enough to ruin your plans for the rest of the day Service: Psychic-level awareness Atmosphere: Fun, vibrant, zero rush Overall: You don't just eat here--you commit Final Verdict: Casa Tina didn't just feed me... it humbled me. I came in thinking I was hungry. I left knowing I was unprepared.

I also asked for hot salsa and was brought a dish with a nice bite. Started with the Skillet Queso. Very good with the Jalapenos & Onions. We decided on Tamales, Fajitas, Soft Taco, and Enchiladas. We thoroughly enjoyed the Queso and more chips while we waited a short while for the dishes. In good time, the dishes came hot and delicious. As is our custom, we shared dishes. All were great, but the enchiladas were the best. Great food, great service, great ambience. Check it out.

Our waitress, Patricia, was incredibly attentive and kind. She provided excellent drink suggestions that were far better than what we experienced at The Honu and Origins in Dunedin, and for a fraction of the price. Our meals were fantastic; the Birria Tacos and Carne Asada Tacos were amazing, and the charro beans were outstanding. Ultimately, we go out to enjoy a great experience paired with delicious food and excellent service, and that is exactly what we received at Carmelita's tonight. Please pass along our compliments to Patricia and the kitchen team.

On the positive side, parking was readily available, and the hostess team was very polite and gracious. He kindly sat us inside to escape the heat, and we really enjoyed the cool atmosphere and Hawaii-inspired decor. However, we encountered several issues during our visit: - The Table: We were seated at a very wobbly table and had to use napkins to stabilize it ourselves. - The Service: Our waitress was quite slow. Additionally, when explaining the drink options, she explicitly advised us against ordering the Navy Grog on the list, stating that it tasted like ship water. - The Drinks: Based on the celebration, we decided to split the "South Seas Pearl." We found the drink to be overwhelming, and given the premium price tag, we expected the quality to better match the cost. I wanted to bring these matters to your attention in the hope that they can be addressed for future guests.
