Came here to eat and have a few drinks after the beach and it wasn't too bad. It's a big place, very festive and staff very nice and fast. I had the Burrito cali with grilled steak, huge, meaty and juicy. Will definitely fill you up. My wife ordered the street tacos with carne asada and it came with refried beans and rice. They put a good amount of sauce so it's very juicy and good. The drinks were ok, felt like not enough alcohol in them and a little pricey. Overall I liked it here and if I'm ever around will try again.

Mexican Food done right! Worth the drive from the beach! You are missing out. Sit down Mexican restaurant with chips, salsa and white cheese dip. IYKYK - on the white cheese dip. The staff is super nice and helpful...they offer table side guacamole which looked amazing. The salsa is overall mild but with flavor. We had al carte tacos (pastor and asada) would recommend the asada all day. Also tried the chicken fajitas definitely share - two of us shared this and felt we got 2 additional tacos to share with the table after we were done. We also tried a burrito smothered in white cheese sauce - filled with shrimp that was just amazing. Drinks - recommend the house but get 1/2 frozen and 1/2 on rocks with no ice. Gamer changer - telling you they should put this on the menu and call it the Big L special Margarita!! The prices weren't bad avg about $20 per person (food & adult drinks)

Great to put together a Cinco de Mayo party and great turnout but no tacos were $5.99 for 3x, I asked. Additionally, drink prices changed- felt bad when my friend had to pay a higher price for second round of identical drinks that I paid with the first. Clearly pricing is variable and that was the owner. Staff was clearly overwhelmed and very short with customers! Hope in future they can do much better! Did absolutely showcase somd amazing young and talented cultural respected talent!

From the outside place looks old but once you walk in it's so nice. Decoration and ambiance is definitely there. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. They serve complimentary chips and salsa. While the salsa was good the chips were cold and a little stale. I had the street tacos either carne asada. It comes with a side of rice and refried beans which I really enjoyed the carne asada was a bit on the dry and hard side. It is topped with onions and cilantro and they also give you a salsa verde which added flavor and helped for it not to be so dry. My husband had the burrito cali with carne asada and it was a huge portion and he enjoyed it. Drinks were good, had a passion fruit margarita and it was good and refreshing. We saw a table that ordered a drink flight and it comes with a little dance show and it was fun! Overall I enjoyed our time and food and would likely go again to try something different.

First time to visit this Mexican restaurant and I was pretty impressed. Extensive drink menu featuring margaritas, many great selections available on the food menu and the service was very good. Fun place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, let them know and they will make it memorable. To be honest, the chips and salsa that they put on the table were on the ordinary side, salsa was pretty thin, not my favorite, but I've had much worse. We had their appetizer, a sampler, with a cheese quesadilla, three mozzarella sticks, three semi nuclear chicken wings, chicken minichimis. Only mozzarella was not 5 stars. The entrees were so filling! Carnitas chimichangas and the unbelievable Fajitas were fantastic. We were a little full - actually had to take some of the food home - but decided to squeeze in flan and fried ice cream for dessert. The fried ice cream would be fine for two people to share. The flan was absolutely delicious. And don't let me forget to mention how festively decorated this restaurant is. It really is a fun place serving really good Mexican food. And the prices were reasonable. Definitely going to return.

Such a fun spot! Came on a Sunday and there was a Mariache band! Service was great and we had a party of 10! Salsa was decent not spicy at all and very blended. I had the chicken fajitas and sadly they were really salty but the rice and beans were delish! Def order a margarita flight - hint you get more than just the margaritas haha Overall come for dinner and a show and don't expect a quiet atmosphere lol

A co-worker recommended Taco-Quila and I'm so glad she did. We ate there for a late lunch today and it seems others have found this great spot too. It's decorated cute inside - bright and welcoming. Our server was quick to our table with chips and salsa. She gave us a few recommendations. I got the chicken cali burrito and he got the steak sopes. Both were delicious! We plan to return to try more dishes.

As a trained chef and serious food lover, I'm always on the hunt for authentic, flavor-packed Mexican cuisine and Taco Quila almost hit the mark. Taco-Quila delivers big on flavor and freshness. The guacamole was an absolute standout--chunky, vibrant, loaded with cilantro, tomato, onion, and just the right kick of jalapeño. Their green salsa was also delicious! Bright, herby, and perfectly spiced. The rice had so much flavor, especially the garlic, which paired beautifully with the steak. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and clearly homemade. The kitchen really nailed it. This place has all the makings of a five-star Mexican meal. Unfortunately, the service missed the mark. I ordered Chorizo sopas and Prime Rib Enchiladas with corn tortillas, but was served steak sopas and Chorizo Steak, and Flour tortillas. When I tried to clarify the mix-up, the server insisted that what I received was what I ordered. He argued with me in a confrontational manner Instead of offering to correct it, he only offered cheese enchiladas, then he left the table as though I was just supposed to deal with it. Which, I was going to, until I realized the corn tortillas were actually flour and I thought, this is ridiculous. All of our entrées were incorrect. It turned into an argument that felt confrontational and didn't need to happen. Mistakes happen and we all have off days. However, how we deal with them makes all the difference. Thankfully, I was able to get the hostess to step in and she handled it with grace, helping to correct the order. I totally understand that mistakes happen--but the lack of helpfulness and hospitality from the server, and then arguing with me took away from what could have been a five-star experience. Taco Aquila has phenomenal food and a great atmosphere. With improved service, it could easily become a go-to spot. I'd give it another try because the flavors were truly worth it.

This is our first time here and we weren't disappointed! Arriving just at the end of happy hour that starts at 2pm and ends at 6pm, we were happily surprised with double wine pours. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated and yet all services were very fast. We were treated to tableside guacamole right away and our food came out very quickly after. Every thing we ordered was large portioned and very tasty. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. I do like how they styled the restaurant with large booths on the sides and group tables in the middle. They even managed to make a nice sized bar behind the hostess station. If you have someone celebrating a birthday, this is THE place to come, they celebrate you in style! And if you like margaritas, ask for a flight and it comes with a surprise! I do highly recommend!!

Some friends took me here... It is in a hotel parking lot, with similar roofing, etc. Looks like it was an old diner at one time. Friendly and enthusiastic staff... they even wear skeleton mask (aka Día de Muertos) for birthday custumers, and when they deliver a "flight" of margaritas to a table. My friends said their margaritas are good. And the clean their plates too. Food ...ok... not what I would call traditional, but it is edible. I had the Los Tres (3) Compadres: Carnitas were tasty and tender. Steak in red sauce, ok... had more heat than I expected, and was a bit salty. The chile relleno was good. Tortillas, ok. Beans and rice, ok. Growing up in Texas, and spending a lot of time in Mexico... I don't really care for americanized mexican food. But restaurants have to give the customers what they want, and what they expect. I would go back if my friends wanted to...

A super fun environment with really great service. The entrees were good, they lost a star cuz of the chips and salsa. Not a great start but a really good ending. Catherine was our server and treated us great.

Cute place! Good vibes! Amazing food! We sat in the said room so we didn't get to see our server as much but overall a good experience. The carne asada tacos were sooooooo tender! I order a Calypso drink and let me tell you i was feeling it. The drink was 20 bucks and that was all i needed. With a drink and 3 tacos that come with a small side of rice and refried beans my total came up to 40 or so dollars. Fun place to celebrate a birthday because they really do perform! I will be back'
