    El Jardín atmosférico!

All I can say is WOW! I had the Father F plate. Sorry no pictures - I ate it too quickly. Migas + jalapeños = chilaquiles add chorizó and cheese and viola! Father F plate. Don't tarry though- they close at 1:30PM. Great coffee and great service. Don't even show up if you're against the blue - they're pro-LEO. Come on with an appetite. Oh and don't forget to ask for the homemade salsa - hot and amazing!

No photo of the food because we were being heavily watched, despite the no-service treatment. Photo is just to show I was actually there

I can't give this place zero stars, or I would... I took my boyfriend to Galveston for his birthday... we were excited to find a Mexican place open early in the morning. I'm pretty sure we probably busted a KKK meeting when we walked in at 5am. We both have service industry backgrounds, we are respectful and tip well. It was like pulling teeth getting anyone to take our order. We almost left.... There was sticky syrup on the walls by their trashy decorations, his food came out charred, but mine came out better-looking. I'm white and he's black... We decided to leave and he didn't eat much of his food. It was possibly the most racist experience I had with him. Blue lives matter flag splashed with food on the wall didn't help. Gross. Awful. Go somewhere else, especially if you have more melanin than the rest.

This place is amazing! We're new Galvestonians & fell in love w this place! It's a hole in the wall Don't be scared to come in! It's AMAZING I'm Peruvian and my fiancé is Houstonian , we LOVED it!!! Barbacoa to die for & eggs and pork(chicharrón) to die for

What made up most of the burrito I didn't want, potato!

Must be a back in the day thing but now it is the worst place for a breakfast burrito in Galveston. I ordered an egg, cheese and bacon with extra bacon burrito. What did I get? A burrito with egg, cheese, bacon, bacon beans and 50 percent potato in it. I cannot eat potatoes. Why would you serve me potatoes if I specifically said no potato! Now at work I have to remove the potato only find the freaking bulk of the burrito is potatoes with some beans that looked like they were removed at the last second. So what did I get for breakfast? About a table spoon of egg and bacon. Take a chance with these idiots but they can't get a simple order filled. It would help if my order was actually written down so the cook could get it RIGHT! Not going to recommend this place if you want to get what you actually order.

Spore me the puns on this yelp dot com post of El Jardin de consumición (Garden of Eatin').* (puzzle solvers: there are 51 gardening terms in this review, not including food names) Plucked this one in tourist season, because the other places were packed. Location is near the biker bars in the pink building, not the green house. Inside, it has concrete ground cover and no live plants. Restaurant is split into 2 beds: bar area and dining. Orchard of 9 tables are lined up in 3 rows in the dining area. Walls have some ornamentals relating to law enforcement. There is a hedge-podge of eclectic chairs and table covers forming an Eek Oh system. Four tables of locals who seem to know the staff (stalk?). Plastic-covered table cloths hang down. One strong-wilt kid told another for fun jus' hide ripe under the table. Menu is easy to weed but only has a small crop of basic Mexican genus (enchiladas, tacos, fajitas). Daily special was Menudo in a pot ( I find that a-pollen). Breakfast items take over a third of the menu, and they sew it till 2pm. I harvested the nachos with beef fajita instead of ground beef. For my hydroponics: Root beer, but a Bud Light would have been better. Chips y salsa: Chips were excellent, not too thin or thick and not greasy. Salsa was watered down but hotter than at most places. The nachos were bland, so I irrigated them with salsa before digging in. Melted cheese was a bit scarce, and therefore did not have many cheese runners connecting the chips, some of which got soggy from the cheese top's oil, but most allowed me to shovel them in without dropping nutrients. The nachos come with slices of pickled jalapenos, chunky (fresh) guacamole, and sour cream, but no foliage (lettuce). I did not detect cilantro in the guacamole. They must have put that herb aside. The beef was pruned of fat, and hardy (probably grilled too long). Later, I did not get sick at this place, so there was no significant germ in 8 of my nachos. Service: In a bog (slow), frequently dormant and leaf you alone, until they seed you signal for something. For some locals, this is a perennial spot. But, I didn't like it very mulch, and I don't expect this place to grow on me or blossom into a popular spot. I'm sod to say the cook does not have a green thumb. * See also the review of the English version of a Garden of Eat'n.

The waffle was good and fluffy--not too thick or too thin. The scrambled eggs were slightly overcooked but still tasty, and the bacon had the perfect amount of flavor and crispness. I wasn't a fan of the vanilla latte, as it was much too sweet for my taste, and the regular coffee was just okay--it lacked the bold flavor or kick I was hoping for. Others at my table ordered the steak and eggs and the migas, and both cleaned their plates, which is always a good sign. Overall, it was a nice breakfast spot with plenty of menu items I'd like to try, and I'd definitely go back.

After reading multiple reviews and comparing it to other local seafood restaurants in Galveston, we knew we had to go. We were seated with my Service dog, no problem. Mike immediately came and delivered water. It was hot outside. The decor is inviting and the bar area looked well stocked. We began with cocktails xtra Dirty Martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives and for my husband a Maker's Mark bourbon . This gave us time to look over this incredible menu! Seafood is what we came for so we ordered 2 sharable items: soy, ginger octopus on crispy wonton and roasted beat walnut and fried goat cheese salad. We could have stopped there completely wowed. Both if us love Texas Redfish and it's so hard to get fresh seafood where we live so that caught our eyes. Husband ordered blackened and redfish over mushroom risotto and French style green beans. I could not resist a similar item blackened redfish over mushroom risotto and asparagus. We both were over the moon with the meaty blackened redfish FLAVORS! Risotto was perfectly cooked al dente and both veg choices were the perfect accompaniment! Honestly it had been a ling time since we had such a beautiful meal. Service was outstanding and he even picked up on a comment by my husband encouraging me to order whatever I wanted given it was a birthday dinner. So I was completely delighted when Mike showed up with the final surprise a Creamy NY style cheesecake. So I guess what I'm trying to say is this place was outstanding. Not to worry, from the merch to the pastry case, to the products from local artisans, there's plenty to discover while you wait. I personally visited the morning of the 5th of July, after all of the fourth of July dwellers sobered up and stopped in for some caffeine to fuel the drive home. That being said, I waited quite a while to order, which gave me time to explore the menu...well kind of. Their menu lives on a wall and can be difficult to read from a distance. Additionally, their specials are handwritten at the til. While I'd love a digital copy of their menu for instances like these, I did just fine after exploring various Yelp menu photos. I ended up with a Sabrina on ice, avocado toast, fruity pebbles rice krispy and chocolate chunk cookie. Fair warning, everything in the pastry case looks fresh and homemade, so prepare to treat yourself. Shoutout for their emphasis on vegan and gluten-free offerings. Visually the avocado toast had me worried, but everything bagel seasoning has a way of curing all wrongs, if those "wrongs" in question are bland food. I found myself happily gobbling it down after a few initially hesitant bites. The rice krispy was fine, and I'm looking forward to warming the cookie and reporting back. While I'll go for a more traditional coffee next time, I'll certainly be back. I'm hoping for a smile, greeting, or positive energy from the staff next go around. Fingers crossed.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy my other half ordered the berries and cream cinnamon French toast, and my little ordered the Mickey Mouse pancake with cinnamon. We came back another day and all ordered the same thing again, and it was just as amazing as the first time. The inside of the building is quite rustic. Even though you are waiting a bit for your food, there is so much to look at that time just passes by. Even in the bathroom will keep you occupied, and not just with the normal activities . The staff was amazingly friendly. On the second day, the gentleman server did not know whether the Mickey Mouse pancake should have the cinnamon bun toppings on it (you know,...because kids might start bouncing off of the ceiling), or sprinkles and whipped cream. We requested the latter and he came over and put on a tiny show for my little. The gentleman made a fun little show of putting whipped cream on Mickey and let my little decorate his own pancake.
