Their tacos were tasty. Chicken 'n waffles is a must try. Service was excellent and the ambiance is welcoming.

Tucked in a small strip mall, el jefe de pollo offers delicious fried chicken and tacos that are made to order. With multiple locations across the GTA, each dish is made to order and the food quality is definitely above par. I cannot get over how good the fried chicken tenders smelled. Prices were more than reasonable and there are a plenty of combo deals if you are feeling extra hungry.

This is in a small mall. It's takeout only but there's a seating area nearby outside the supermarket, probably for all the food places in the mall. They get 3.5 stars. Chef's special was pretty good. The chicken was moist & fresh & there was quite a bit of it. It was decently crispy. The honey buffalo sauce was decent: not as rich as medium buffalo sauce. The coleslaw was good & cut the buffalo sauce well. Cajun fries were a big portion. They were decent: fresh, evenly cooked & moist. But they were too lightly seasoned so the flavour was very subtle flavour. They give you plastic gloves to eat, which was a nice touch. There's a cool arcade machine you can play but... How can you charge $1 for X-men vs Street Fighter (1996) in 2022?!

Made the mad massive mistake of not snappin' a pic of their incredible tacos! My excitement to eat these overwhelmed me. Came across them by accident as I just got back into town & wanted a late dinner ~ Googled them & saw that not only were they open til midnight, they also had good reviews. Entrance is at the back side entry of a mall - take out only. The tacos are not cheap at 3 for $20, but I gotta say, its worth it to treat yourself once in awhile with these. We ordered 3 chicken, 2 fish & 1 oxtail. The chicken was unexpectedly spicy but good (according to the one that ate it). The fish is battered yet not greasy & came with 2 soft corn tortillas as its base for each. The veggie fillings were flavourful and substantial. The one that killed it all for me was the oxtail ~ it was outstanding. While not super healthy, eating this combo of a deep fried taco shell (buttery?) mixed with the juicy, full of flavour pulled oxtail & substantial veggie fillings was truly mind blowing! It has me dreaming of it until the next time. Of course, I'm gonna be back (Find me on Instagram - @aida.loves )

I tried the chef special sandwich and I absolutely loved the flavour burst in my mouth. It's a tiny place in the plaza but highly recommended for takeouts as there's no sitting available Price is a little on the higher side, expect to spend at least $20 for a sandwich mea but worth the try!

Nobody told me the chicken would taste sweet the breading taste like it has honey in it or something personally when I get lemon pepper chicken it never taste sweet you either make chicken salty or sweet but PLEASE DONT DO BOTH UGH so honestly just feels like I'm eating sweet bread w some chicken in it definitely won't be paying 16$ for 5 pieces of chicken anymore lol at least I can say I tried it nobody can hype this place up to me anymore but the fries are pretty good

When you enter, you are greeted with smiles and positive vibes all around. The owner, and hearing about his story was remarkable to hear. It's great what an empire he has turned this joint into! As a foodie, I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich drenched in sauce.. the saucier the better! The Mochi Donut idea was a hit! And I went back a few days later to try to jerk chicken sandwich. I wish this place was around when I was a student at YORK.. I would be there everyday! Highly recommend! Best, @filledupwithfood

100% hand-slaughtered Halal certified food place in North York. SOOO good, must try for sure! I would recommend the Chicken & Oxtail tacos, Manganero Sandwiches, Buffalo Mac & Cheese etc. Great parking area, however some construction going around. Prompt service. Ave meal cost $15-$20.

Absolutely phenomenal!!! The best chicken in the area! The chicken tacos are our absolute favorite but the oxtail tacos are also divine! The fried chicken is so generous in portion size and is DELICIOUS!! (Though the tacos are still our favorites). The staff is also very friendly and the owner is amazing! The owner also supports local artists and other local businesses too which is amazing to see! Warning: there is no seating there though. Take out only.

This takeout restaurant serves great comfort food to indulge in. The service is quick and the staff is nice. The different sauces really make this place unique! I like the garlic aioli and the mango sauce.

This is a takeout spot offering so many options of tasty food such as fried chicken, burgers, & tacos + really unique drinks The ball up box comes with a burger which is super scrumptious with a side of cajun fries & chicken I would def recommend this as you get to try a bit of everything! I also love the unique twist of mochi donut & fried chicken - the honey buffalo flavour was definitely there and done right

This is the place to find chicken burgers made with a whole lot of TLC! The chicken is so juicy and tender. Also have to add that the chicken itself is a big portion! I managed to make some room for a bit of Cajun fries. It may be a little confusing finding this gem. The chef known as "Chef Chino" opened up a ghost kitchen inside Leng Keng Bar & Lounge. It may be open for a limited time so get it now for take out or delivery, while you can! The chef is also working on new recipes for more dishes to come. As for the burgers I tried 4 different burgers. The chicken for all the burgers were moist and skinless. They are halal too. Plain Jane If you don't like saucy saucy burgers then this is the one for you. It's plain with a bit of aioli. The seasoning and crispiness is just the right amount of you just want the protein. Chef's Special - Honey Buffalo I love coleslaw and this creamy coleslaw is a delicious burger topping. What makes this burger special is the Buffalo sauce. It is a little tangy with a hint of honey. It's pretty good on its own too. I normally don't eat Buffalo but this one was good with a kick of heat. The Jerk The buns for the jerk chicken though.. it was like those slightly honey biscuits. The ones you get from Church's or Popeyes but not too sweet or salty. I could definitely eat a lot the buns on its own. This burger is like a jerk chicken meal in a bun. You get a bit of Jamaica rice and peas and coleslaw. It's delicious. Manganero This is my fav! I love the sauce. I do wish there were more mango chunks in my order. The sauce on this crispy chicken is tangy with some heat. I would love to buy a jar of the sauce.

Good affordable family deal for the area…read more Inside the mall, this fried chicken shop is in the centre of a few food stalls. They serve small orders relatively quickly, and the girl serving customers was efficient and friendly. We ordered the family feast which included 9pc chicken, 3 drinks, and fries. They made a fresh batch of chicken for the larger order, so we had to wait for a few minutes. We also bought a side of gravy. We got our chicken Original, but they also offer a slightly spicier version, tossed in Nashville sauce. The chicken itself had a tasty skin, the chicken meat seemed only to be marinated in a bit of salt but otherwise tasteless. I assume it would be more flavourful if we chose the Nashville style. The gravy tasted like a chicken noodle soup, with notes of celery salt. It was different but not entirely bad. The fries were very soft, kind of like they should have fried it for a minute longer. There are a few seats in the center of the mall for patrons to eat at, but we took ours to go. The mall is kind of dark and run down, and they were making repairs/replacements of something in the ceiling by the tables. Good affordable option if you are in the area, but I wouldn't run back from 3 cities over right away.

The bun top is a little greasy, but the chef said he made it that way so it looks shiny; people like it that way. The fries were crispy; they have a little coating on them. You can also choose Nashville sauce, which makes it more spicy. The customer service was good. There are $4.99 student specials Mon-Fri 11:00-15:30. There are 6 tables in the mall if you wish to eat there. Three is no free WiFi. The food stall is wheelchair accessible. There are no washrooms, but there may be one in the mall. The drive-thru has two lanes that ultimately converge by the time you hit the first pickup window. I got a cheerful woman on the other end of the speaker. I rattled off my order code.
